after the updated android wallet is out. it is ready but there is one issue that has to be checked first.

very probable within 2 days.

when it occurs, it will occur in GMT+1 time @ 2100 +/-

4 million will be divided among the users that are in the channel and have succesfully confirmed their version using irc commands.

the timespan for the update giveway will be 1 hour ( 21-22h ) and will probably be supervised by dagger and/or me.

preferred is tuesday. so probably tuesday 2100 gmt+1.

ps the channel will be #leafcoin-giveaway @ freenode.

kiwiirc/freenode webchat and standalone irc clients will be supported

Leafcoin Giveaway of 4 Million Leaf is Scheduled Tuesday 4/1 at 21:00 GMT+1 Time (3pm EST New York) on IRC #Leafcoin-Giveaway

Nice new wallet syncing atm and bought an extra 1 million leafs!

Could someone tell me in short what the following new features/changes are?

- p4f ( tested, diff nodes, works ) ??

- digishield ( tested, adjusts every block and is equal to digibyte solution, works ) ?? new diff algo?

- alert system updated ?? alerts what?

- flat rewards ( tested, works ) ?? what does that do?

- higher coinbase maturity ( tested, works ) ?? why is this better?

- merge mining ( almost implemented ( tested, works mergeid=77 ) ?? merged mining with which coin and how?

replacement for KGW, as KGW was still exploited a bit

- alert system updated ?? alerts what?
so we can message users from the wallet to tell then when theres a update needed

- flat rewards ( tested, works ) ?? what does that do?
stops multipools grabbing just the high blocks

- higher coinbase maturity ( tested, works ) ?? why is this better?
coins mined cannot be spent instantly

- merge mining ( almost implemented ( tested, works mergeid=77 ) ?? merged mining with which coin and how?
it means users can mine other merge mine coins at the same time for a small chance of also winning on the other coins chain, but helps secures our coin.

all executables and source are updated.

android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.leafco.wallet
multibit http://leafco.in/multileaf-win32-latest.zip
source http://github.com/leafcoin/leafcoin
leafcoinj http://github.com/leafcoin/leafcoinj
win-qt http://leafco.in/leafcoin-qt-win32-latest.zip

new proto version 80008.

you need to delete the blockchaindb and peers.bat after updating and before client start ( does not apply to android, multibit etc )

this update makes leafcoin more secure.

tonight @2100 GMT+1 update-giveaway in #leafcoin-giveaway on freenode irc.

you can use any standalone client.

if you are using webchat clients, only kiwiirc and freenode is supported.

4 million will be given away.

this is the final reminder for bitcoin talk.

we will announce it once more half an hour before it starts on twitter.

So the update is that you can mine merge mine coins (like UnitedScryptCoin, Orgcoin, Pesetacoin, etc) with Leafcoin as the parent? Not that Leafcoin is merge mineable as the child chain? How is that an update? It's not like Litecoin issued an update for USC to work...

Does this happen after a certain block? I have been trying to use it as a child chain for 2 days and haven't solved a single block with 3.7mh/s. At the current difficulty, I should be finding 30-50 blocks a day.

Yes, we'll announce once the appropriate block has been reached.
