We are having problems with the latest Leafcoin client at MiningPool.co

$leafcoind getinfo

...
    "errors" : "EXCEPTION: St12out_of_range       \nvector::_M_range_check       \nleafcoin in ProcessMessages()       \n"
...

Have tried deleting block chain, peers.dat etc, always comes back to the same error.

Any ideas on what the problem is?

Fix coming soon?

can you zap me with your debug.log... ( last 100kb ). pm me.

i have never seen this one.

PM sent.

OK here goes….I am a total noob at this crypto coin stuff. I am smart enough to see there can be some major opportunity in all this. I have been trying to find out how I can set up my Mac to mine Leafcoin. I know you need a bunch of big time equipment to play with the big dogs but I just want to see how it all works and learn as much as I can before I go investing a bunch of money in equipment . All I have been able to figure out so far is getting a Leafaddress (fZW1UBQ4RvwSCFnrs8JAe5zjjFVLGHRTjT) that wasn't to hard.

Any advise or info would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

hello there leafcoin friends!

we have setup a new p2pool node for leafcoin using latest p2pool-charity-leafcoin and latest leafcoind.
unlike any other p2pool we checked out there, our pool seems to be on the proper chain, now we just need a bit more hashing power to see how it works in action, so please do try it. we are looking closely to solve any problems that may arise, so bear with us and don't hesitate to report problems or send ideas for improvements using this forum or direct email.

url: http://p2pool.kosmoplovci.org:9166
use you LEAF wallet address as username, anything as password
fee is set to 1%

our p2pool is young but as all our projects, it is longterm and plans to stay and support as much coins as possible. we started with 4, leafcoin being one of them. homepage at http://p2pool.kosmoplovci.org provides links and information on available pools, as well as quick mining guides, hopefully to help newbies join in.

technical info

leafcoind
version 80605
protocolversion 80009
https://www.github.com/leafcoin/leafcoin

p2pool-charity-leafcoin
version a5f62f5-dirty (latest github pull)
p2pool/bitcoin/p2p.py protocolversion 80009
https://github.com/leafcoin/p2pool-charity-leafcoin

more information about kosmoplovci projects and much stuff for free download: http://www.kosmoplovci.net
email contact: kosmoplovci@kosmoplovci.net
p2pool contact: p2pool@kosmoplovci.net

cheers!

no problem. it is my intention to support leafcoin therefore i am making efforts to include it in our p2pool nodes.
i switched back leafcoin p2pool temporary to p2pool-rav (which seems to be working) but will keep an eye on latest developments on your p2pool-charity-leafcoin fork. p2pool-rav is available on github here https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav

please let us know when code can be used, ii'd be glad to test it!

keep up the good work!

p2pool-rav also will not work, as it does not add required payment to foundation in generation transaction, leafcoind will not accept this blocks.

What we (p2pool operators) should do now is to stop Leafcoin p2pool nodes and wait till developers make p2pool work with Leafcoin, maybe help with testing if it will be needed.

All mining on current p2pool-charity-leafcoin (while it is not ready) or on p2pool-rav is just waste of electricity.
And if your node is running - someone may think it's ok to mine there, but it's not.

I can not see a bring future for this coin at all.

Instead of repeating the same story again and again, you better could do something to help?
At IRC you tell one week it the best and one week later it is died.

We must be positive and support the coin.
