I believe that there no big difference between IEO and ICO if the project is really good.
Both have to invest in promotion, adv and bounty.

The only difference is that in case of IEO there is additional support from the exchange (but you have to realise, that exchange will ask lots of future coins for its support of IEO).

The strategy of IEO's marketing is different than ICOs marketing, because usually IEOs don't need a big marketing budget as ICOs, since the exchange itself will do some advertising work for them, and also even the simple job of bounty hunters is enough for IEOs since it is more preferred nowadays by investors than ICOs.

when it comes to marketing  ,  ico will win i think because they are doing lots of marketing stuffs and gimmicks  example the bonuses that they offer ,  they post ads around the web and on other ico listing sites as well as bounty and airdrops sites   . posting ads on the forum  specifically on the bounty section and also they create a seperate ann thread  . lastly they can run a bounty campaign or a sig campaign whilest  on the other hand i dont see that an ieo can do all this stuff  .   the main asset of ieo is that its being promoted by an exchanges , so if its an old exchange the ieo can get instant populaarity .

   I didn't notice that exchanges are doing promotions, they make announcements about IEO couple times and that's it.
   There should not be a difference between ICO or IEO marketing, projects should try to have the best possible marketing in any way, marketing is everything.

You don't need to have an expert marketer but you only need a someone who can make your project is promoting on the reputable exchange such as binance, OKEx and etc. Through this exchange will surely help to funding your project because as far as I know there are many people who are queue up to participate and being an investor on those exchanges.

But in the other way, you can use this as promotion place and pick some people who has a good reputation on this forum. Such as Yahoo, LoyceV, Hhampuz and the other to being a bounty manager. I believe if you choose their service you will not be regreted and if your project is good and the concept can be interested by many people then you just wait before your project is filled by many investor.

Success for IEO today depends on which exchange they conduct there IEO since if they list on top exchange for sure the hype will start and people will buy and support and we can see as the example on Binance Launchpaud where many Owners earned huge success.

Except for strong conviction on any project this year, i will advise you to postpone any altcoins investment till next year. That is the basic difference icos are trying to reach customers through social media and that is not always effective since most people are not really interested to hear about investment opportunities when they are looking for just a way to entertain themselves but when a coin is released in an exchange it is obvious that most of those hearing the news may be interested in being part of a new project especially if the coin is released in an exchange with a good reputation.
