Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

They haven't decided yet, but we hope there is a good end, however Cryptopia is a history of exchange, another exchange learns from its disaster. Not sure Shitcoin will leave, there are still many other exchanges.

So you think guys all the shitcoins left in Cryptopia are gone forever?  Huh https://twitter.com/Cryptopia_NZ/status/1128491715608727553

Well, it's good that they are out of business, they have been hacked two times, and we need not wait for the third time, which has a possibility to happen again, and besides there are more good exchange now in the market, far better than Cryptopia.

So its not the first time. They should have been very careful after the first. Since they wanna use liquidator does it mean they are going to close their exchange?

I'm not getting this right because they still can after all make it big if they can just do it right this time. This is if they are still wanna go on.

I saw a similar post on twitter with regards end of cryptopia. Actually I don't have funds stocked there but I hope something is done about it. Security is a big problem hindering crypto adoption. I wish more improved security tech are developed and embedded to exchanges. Exchanges should focus more on security and not profit making from fees, but that's not the case with most of them.

I don't think shitcoins will go forever if cryptopia dead because there are many other exchanges that they can try to add their coins and get more fans. The developer will search on the other exchange, and if they can prove to the other exchange that their project is legit, then they will have a chance to get the listed on that exchange.

Such a saddening moment cryptopia has been a great part of our trading experience yet one hacks stops it all, they can't handle that situation. A lot of traders who have their funds in cryptopia hoping to get their coins back for withdrawal has been given despair, they didn't given the chance to withdraw coins there let's move on with this shit exchange now , shitcoins will not be gone it's everywhere tho.

It seems they are closing down their business, sorry to those who treat Cryptopia their wallet, all your coins stored here could be gone, I'm glad I have sold all my shitcoins here in Cryptopia who will be the next big exchange to fold, take care of your coins.

this is really bad news, and you are lucky if you already sold your coins in cryptopia
i still have a few coins there, but maybe i should forget my coins at cryptopia now
what a bad experience with cryptopia

I think this has signaled the end of cryptopia exchange, it's evident enough that the exchange is going to extinction. when a liquidator is introduced to a company therefore that is the end.

If you mean the hacked coins and tokens, they were gone since the beginning since there is no way to take them back from the hackers wallets. This is why users can't withdraw those coins and tokens, even if they still have them in their balances, since there are no real coins to withdraw from the exchange.

Even I had a few altcoins in my Cryptopia account, in addition to some CLM (Cryptopia Loss Marker) tokens. Now I don't think that I will receive any sort of compensation for the lost funds. But still I would consider myself lucky. Cryptopia was never my favorite exchange. I used it only for converting my tokens to Bitcoin or Ethereum (it was one of the few exchanges which supported so many tokens).

I meant only the shitcoins left in the exchange that people didn't withdraw before the hack. I know a lot of shitcoins can still be traded in other exchanges

Will they ever allow us to withdraw our funds this time?
I still have some BTC I kept there, those are just few but I'd like to withdraw them before they close their exchange forever. I thought they are back in business already as I can see they started promoting it in the forum again;.

Very bad news and an ugly timing for all traders and investors using cryptopia as its means of exchange. I think this exchange stole from themselves just to have a reason to exit.

Have you watched that news properly? there was a lot of people are still having their amounts in cryptopia and that's why they are all complaining about they can't withdraw their coin. Not all of coins were being affected caused by the cryptopia hack but most of users are not able to withdraw their money. Pleas, understand the case before you wanna say anything about that.

That is not all about the news it was all about the funds of every trader that was stock on their exchange because widrawal is still not currently available that's why people are still complaining they can't do anything and the sad part is cryptopia would be closing their platform and didn't know if we can widraw our funds there or not.

Cryptopia hired professional liquidators in order to analyze and assure the assets at the best level. Big chances that they might sell all those assets in order to pay Cryptopia users with balances. I am positive that people will receive payments but not the total amount. Those big accounts are ones to lose most here. Sad

I don't know, since it's all being handled by the courts wouldn't that mean that they have to pay back the assets they still hold?
Or will they be publicly selling them off to pay off their other creditors?

I'd consider those coins gone, but maybe they will pay out a portion to their users eventually.
Could take years though...

Cryptopia disappearing will definitely affect the liquidity of coins that were dependent on that platform because other ones refused to list them. But then again, other smaller exchanges may pick of the slack in providing liquidity to these coins. The bankruptcy of this exchange should serve as a warning to avoid coins dependent on these exchanges.

If you pay attention at what I wrote you will realize I'm strictly talking about the coins and tokens that were hacked, not the others. I know not all coins were affected, and there is no reason for not letting users withdraw those unaffected coins. Happy now?
