[UNBAN APPEAL] tvplus006

I created this topic to support tvplus006 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1311641).


I've been waiting a few days for him to create a topic to appeal the ban, but that didn't happen. I had nothing to do with tvplus006. I just want to help him. Maybe he is very upset about what happened. After all, he is a very active user not only of the Russian locale, to make sure you can see his profile on BPIP https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=tvplus006.

I don't know how much plagiarism this user has done, but I think he's entitled to a second chance...

I'm highly agree with statement that this user is useful for our forum and asks for unban too. Eternal ban is not the proper way out for such kind of users.

I had no idea. He's a very good asset in the scam accusations board and i believe he deserves a second chance just like lovesmayfamilis
They have been bursting scams for a long time now and without them, so many scammers could have gotten away.

I consider TVPLUS as a valuable asset especially when it comes to busting fake ICOs in the forum. His presence (along with ICOEthics) makes every ANN in the altcoin section re-think their options before attempting to scam. Without him, there will be a decrease on the members who is dedicated enough to find scammers around the forum.

I really do hope that the ban gets lifted with necessary adjustments and penalties.

I subscribe to the above words. Tvplus006 is really useful for Bitcoin forum. I had experience of interaction with him, he is a responsive person and helped me with good advice.

It raise the ideas that why old users here don't spend their time to check their past posts. I meant I am sure that there are dominant part of forum users did not read forum rules in their trust days there, and of course they did something wrong that they did not even know that they violated forum rules and might get troubles by doing this. So, why not check past posts and delete what you think are shitposts, or not sure why and how you made that post; I believe no one can remember their past posts are palgiarisms or not (that partially why we see ban appeals ask for evidence), so it's better to delete if you think it is poor quality posts.
Only one question, which kind of treatments if one user delete their past posts that are palgiarism, before get reported (it means users realized their mistakes themselves, and correct their mistakes)?
1] Will it actually be considered as plagiarism with same treatments, perma-bans?
2] Will they be fine if they delete their past plagiarism before getting reported?
I think the answer is the second one.

I would like to hear the opinions of users who have the authority to change the ban on a temporary signature ban. Does tvplus006 have such a chance? He is a worthy member of this forum, in my opinion.

Though I am just a basic member, my opinion on tvplus006's case is very similar to lovesmayfamilis and both their contributions towards scam bursting was phenomenal. But the reason tvplus006 could have not been considered up to now could be due to the fact that he hasn't opened up an appeal thread himself.
May be he should come out and try to appeal. I think he deserves a second chance.

But here it seems to be clear at once that he refers to some news sources, most likely, he just did not execute his message correctly.
Naturally, the plagiarism search bot works much better than the manual search. tvplus006 does not look like a person who will give out someone else's words for his own.

However, I am missing a good contributor for expose scams. If moderators did correct job then I am suspecting tvplus006 got ban for copy paste forum post. I believe admin/moderators could reconsider that case if there is no "blatant plagiarism". I think he deserve second chance by temp and signature ban. I am not expecting perma ban for his past mistake.

To my understanding, you can get banned for either plagiarism or ban evasion. I went through his posts (the ones written in English) and couldn't find anything that seems copy-pasted. But I did find this little topic started by hilariousetc. Again, I'm not an alts expert, but there are a few newbie accounts (connected to a banned account) that used his twitter and facebook handles. I'm not sure if it's true or someone's just trying to set up/destroy tvplus006 account.^[1]

As Coolcryptovator said, I would like mods to at least state the reason for his ban (plagiarism or ban evasion). I don't want to go over 90 pages again looking for plagiarized posts.

I'm going through his posts again, he seems to have quoted bounty manager's post without referencing it. He was trying to help someone, at least that's how I see it. (can't say if this is the reported post or not).

If this is the only reason of ban then I think he isn't deserve ban. Its clear that he was attempt to help someone and forgot to quote post. According to admin he should unbanned without condition. Not sure for which post he got ban. I will be happy to hear from moderators.

I know of one case where someone was banned for plagiarism in the recent massacre, but a very careful reading of the context showed that the person actually did just forget to quote, and by "quoting" the post they were expressing an actual point even if it constituted their entire post. This person was unbanned without any sigban, since this isn't plagiarism.

Since tvplus006 has recently created his own alternative account tvplus006-2 and personally asked about the reasons for the ban, I support this appeal.

tvplus006 is a helpful user who fights scam ICOs, detects plagiarized whitepapers and reveals fake teams. He earned a lot of merits and in my opinion, tvplus006 is a net positive member on the forum.

If that is the reason for the plagiarism ban I'd be concerned because the post by deadly was edited after tvplus006 made his post. Perhaps a moderator can check the edit history.

I don't know what it's for as there's no handled reports in the queue but I'm guessing it was probably for plagiarism.
