Anyone here mining on that pool where Bitfinex used a $24 Million dollar transaction fee?

https://etherscan.io/block/13307440

From what I understand this has something to do with Defi and how there were some changes after EIP1559. I really don't think this was some money laundering attempt where someone basically uses a high fee and then pretends to give it to a miner and instead just mines it themselves.

Seems this was the only transaction that resulted in such a high fee. Very surprised that they allowed a gas limit of over 30,000,000. You would think there would be some type of guard against this type of issues from happening. Either way, i dont think Bitfinex will be insolvent due to this since they make tons of transaction fees alone.

Small CPU mining boom going on now and nobody is talking about it in here? =)
Top Ryzens are making nice money...

What are they mining?  What coin and what miners?

So, where are people talking about it, or is this just a troll?

i think that was returned, as it should I guess.  pretty insane mistake to make...

It's X16r+cryptonight so it's very slow. Estimates don't look impressive compared to x16r.
Price recently stepped up, maybe a pump.

well.. here's how my 3950X is doing

whether its slower or not is not as relevant as to which is currently more profitable.

I assumed it would be slower than x16r, obviously that was incorrect. Anyway the bump in profitability is due to
the price increase. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Your hashrate is quite low for 3950X, You can check these benchmarks

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ABYpRGBEOg_OcMdhspS1DfklVjetuUhGca_s3H3gjRI/edit#gid=609370861

and maybe https://minerstat.com/coin/RTM , by looking your stats, minerstats calculator might be not be right

@alucard20724

You use Zergpool for mining RTM, right?
can you get paid in other coins like BTC, ETH or LTC?

didn't really understand that, payout limists looked quite high for everything else than LTC

i use zergpool and zpool

yes.. I get paid in LTC
it's listed on the main page https://zergpool.com/

BTC payouts are made automatically every 24h for all balances above 0.0015 every day, or if network fees are low enough payments are sent more frequently(every 4h).
ETH payouts are made automatically every 4 hours for all balances above 0.05, transaction fee is deducted from balance.
USDT(ERC20) payouts are made automatically every 4 hours for all balances above 100, transaction fee is deducted from balance.
LTC payouts are made automatically every 4 hours for all balances above 0.25, or 0.05 on Sunday.
DOGE payouts are made automatically every 4 hours for all balances above 50, or 10 on Sunday.
Payouts for all other currencies are made automatically every 4 hours for all balances above 0.0001 in BTC equivalent, or 0.00002 on Sunday.
BTC, BCH, LTC, DOGE, ETH, USDT(ERC20) and DASH are guaranteed payout coins, for others please check block amount we mine in pool.

there's a command line generator that you can use to help

in the password field is where you would put coin payout.  just make sure you have the correct address in the wallet.
i.e.
-p c=LTC
or
-P c=BTC

so more than $2.50 a day in ltc for a 3950

I have a 3960 and a 3970 I am away from the rigs but they do a lot more than the 3950  when it comes to xmr

I would guess they will do 4.50 and 5.50 = 10 bucks a day.

I can not get to them until sat.

This would be nice if it lasts a while

I also think I have an idle pair of  3900,s thy could do 2+2 = 4

so maybe 14 a day and burn 1kwatt or less which is about 3 a day in power a net  of 11 bucks a day.

I need to wait till sat to do it. mean while the eth gear is still making coin as is the l3 gear and the sha 256

we expanded our ready power by 8x 30 amp 240 volts  we will add multiple 12 card minerdude servers a total of 4 holding a lot of 3090's and a4000's

each rig pulls close to 1900 watts which means an easy pair on each circuit I think we are past 5gh in eth.

5x a4000 cards on the way
1x 3080 fe
1x 3090

that is about 380 mh more.

For us it is about expansion slowly but surely.

We have a lot of power not tapped

500kwatts in one place at 4 cents not in use

and 35kwatts at 2 cents ready willing and able . plus it can go to 100kwatt more.

the 2 cent spot can do 40 minderdude cases with 5x a4000 and 4x 3090 cards hashing at about 730 mh each.

it is more a question of gear getting adding at the right speed than anything else.
This place should hold a lot more gear by next year.

I will show more minerdude builds soon

In your dreams the 3960 make 4,5 a day. This cpu can give you around 20000 hashes per second on randomx and this give you maybe 1.2$

Mining verus or raptoreum give much more.
