GlobalCoin is coming. What are your thoughts on this new Facebook-made altcoin? What have you heard about it?

They are not yet finalizing everything the last article I read was they are building a team around it, and they are going to launch last quarter of the year, we will read more news about this Facebook before the launching so I expect a lot of new threads about it, because  people believe this is the biggest coin to launch in three years.

yes the recent news i read facebook want hiring Blockchain engineer for development blockchain for facebook blockchain project as i know for now.
i didn't heard another news from facebook blockchain project

I think it will highly demand coin. The IEO/ICO will be finished in a flash. I think it is a good point to combine the crypto with social. More newcomers will join with crypto.

This is a good step from Facebook team, and it shows the level of high support gained by the cryptocurrency, it equally means cryptocurrency is not just a bubble as been alleged by some economic pundit. Facebook coin may not itself directly affect the market since it's a stable coin but will further make Facebook users to study about cryptocurrency.

I may not invest in Facebook Coin because of the fact that its designed to offer stability rather than the kind of green and red candles that produce profits and loss but I am quite sure it will drive traffic in the media and woo new cryptocurrency investors

They deserve headlines now that they have finally going to launch one, this has been going on since the creation of Bitcoin that large companies will have its own version of cryptocurrency and this is not surprising, I thought that we should all wait for the whitepaper to come out, there's too many speculations already might as well don't add more on it.

I think Facebook's GlobalCoin will be a potential and great new coin. This coin will become a new coin that is able to compete with the very volatile world of crypto currencies. This GlobalCoin will later have many enthusiasts and fans. I think this coin will be easily recognized by the public because it has a Facebook platform that is able to promote the coin easily. Facebook itself is a large company so there is no doubt about its platform. Without using any bounty campaign, this coin will be easily famous.

If this is a shitcoin, it would not create a headline in the crypto news, just think about that.
It's better if we welcome them as they are embracing crypto, this is a good news for us and even if you and me will not buy this, I'm sure there's a lot of investors out there will see a positive thing for this coin, and will buy.

I doubt about it, since facebook coin was managed by one party, price movement will be same with dollar movement price and it will be use as a tool for payment system. And this is different with bitcoin, as far as we know bitcoin is not managed by one party and its movement price based on supply and demand which mean everyone who knows about facebook coin will ignore bitcoin and even maybe the user of cryptocurrencies will move to use facebook coin to be use as payment system, but for an investment place they will choose cryptocurrencies.

It's hard to say what effect it will have. I for one am skeptical about it, because as a basket of fiat currencies I'm unsure it's much safer than the U.S. dollar and other major fiat currencies. It might get the public used to cryptocurrencies, however.

If this global coin like stablecoin, i think its not an investment. But if global coin have limited supply like bitcoin, even centralized coin, i think the price could increase and could be an investment because most people in the world become facebook member

From what i am read, this global coin or coin made by facebook can transfer via whatsapp or others application made by facebook. If this happen, people can make transaction more easier and faster because more people in the world must be using whatsapp or facebook or messenger

Like many other shitcoins. For what FB need own currency? For own control only. And do you want currency under FB management? I don't think so. After all fails that FB made already I don't want to use their money. Thanks
