Potential investors should study the IEO project, as they previously studied ICO projects. Scam will not go anywhere from the sphere of cryptocurrencies and you should always be careful.

As an investor, i cannot participate in IEO conducted by small and new exchanges. The main reason why IEOs are preferred to ICOs is because they are more prone to scam than ICOs, and this is because the exchange validates its legality with their reputation. Imagine Binance or any top exchange conducting a scam project, it will jeopardize their integrity, and these exchanges do not want their integrity in question, so they only offer legit and promising projects IEO. New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.

This is just the beginning in future we may see more kind of scam project event through promoted by the crypto exchanges because there are lot of shit exchanges start doing promotion of new crypto project which cannot be compared to the reputed exchange promotion, so do your own research and invest if you convinced enough to invest on the project.

Although the possibility is not zero, at least the chance to turned into a scam IEO is smaller than ICO.
Do you think top exchange like Binance will launch scam IEO ? If they want to ruin their reputation, yes.
We just need to investing on trusted and reliable exchanges IEO and avoid new exchange IEO to be safer.

On idax there are so many IEO's coming and i tried to search those coins and joined their telegram but there is no activity, im guessing its a dead project

IEOs are nothing but icos but bit different  version but the naming is different what ever rules of safe investing applicable for icos same for ieos investors should carefully invest in ieos as well

Small exchanges are now doing that, they are  following the leaders and what's trending so we can expect more IEO from the small exchanges, but that does not make them scam, big exchanges have a lot of requirements and it's very costly they opted for small exchanges to save funds and allocate it on the development of the project, but that does make them scammer.

There are already IEO scams in yobit, I'm pretty sure if can also happen to the new exchanges that were doing IEO today. Maybe if they are going to be doing IEO to several exchanges will makes our hunches gone but if they are doing it to an unknown exchange probably newer exchange, you're better not joining. ive only participating in IEO on big exchanger, simply because almost all of crypto held IEO on big exchanger can pumped right after IEO end, but i will sell after that, yes youre right IEO can turn to a scam, thats why i only invest long term in bitcoin and few big coins

That's the difference now, that IEO scams are determined by large or small exchanges. Because big exchanges don't want to do this kind of thing which makes the reputation of the exchange destroyed. Binance is a place where all projects want to look. This is good for them to choose an IEO. Small exchanges are the opposite, they do not have much choice for the IEO. This makes it easy for them to pass the project's dangerous details only so that both can be IEO.

Obviously they can be a scam to even they are already listed in exchange,so its the same with some ico pro3 that has been scam also so i rev3 projecta before joining and i have found this project the Dencoin and its good for investments.

People don't care about scam IEO,because exchanges provides liquidity and as for other problems it doesn't matter. That is the main reason.

The market for ICO is down, so scammers are not getting fund from them as they used to. Therefore, in order to cover for these lapses they would opt for what is trending, which is IEO.
Scammers will find it difficult to infiltrate bigger and reputably exchanges go perpetrate their evil act, which makes it safer. Instead they would go for scam exchanges, that will not bother to checkmate whatever is coming in, because of the fund they also want to raise for themselves.

Still only we can be sure about the projects those holding IEO at reputed exchanges. As above explain top exchanges can't lost their customers, But some shit exchanges  don't think about their reputation and holding whatever project even if they don't have well plans.

There's no guarantee but since it's trending nowadays that's why many investors are taking the risk, they also have the same idea where there's no assurance even it's already an IEO's chances that exchange and the project developers can make a deal and dumped the project after the sale period

maybe the risk is smaller when compared to ICO and we still have to be careful and choose a big exchange and research the project as well as possible before investing, because where there is an opportunity, the fraudsters will try to enter.

The risk is almost zero, unless you use the services of SCAM exchange, then do not be surprised, on such exchanges any IEO can be a scam. Unfortunately, people still continue to use such platforms.
