Very well said OP, take for example on LAToken since they are well-know exchange these days but still they launched an IEO scam projects that led their user to not trust the exchange so how come if it's a new exchange launching an IEO. it is always recommended to do your own due dilligence before investing on any project nowadays.

This is what I had observed, IEO before it become trending, I could say that it was good and profitable. But when it became trending most investor together with the bounty hunters found an alternative replacement for ICO, and because of this IEO suddenly became popular, however, while IEO got the trust of the investors the scammer also found a way how to scam the investors again. Since most of the investors got the mindset that IEO was a trusted one also the bounty hunters too the scammer get entered into IEO to use it to victim those people who mindset that IEO is good and profitable, but the exchange they usually used was the small and unknown exchange in the market. Exactly! but even a reputable exchanges cannot filter out the right one, unless they're only after the money. IEO's reputation can still be question its just a rebrand of ICO, investors shouldn't trust it a 100%. Usually any reputed exchange will not launch IEO with any likely project. Because their main business is trading so they won't loss their traders. That's why they will do their best diligence on the project. But still there is no guaranty that you will get profits, still you might loss fund due dump. On the other hand, some exchange even listing token with fake team, so how we could expect good output from them. To be honest they don't care about their traders. They don't like to protect their traders. They just need money, so they will list even with fake team. Means you are going to lose fund you if invest such as project. If you ask me even the big exchangeshave held IEO'S and the result is not as good as that of the smaller exchanges results. As an individual I always look very carefully before I leap unto an IEO in the first place.

I have seen IEO projects that ask participants for KYC, mostly all IEO projects do this, even ICO projects ask for KYC too and believe me this doesn't clear the fact that you won't get scammed because you submit your KYC details, IEO is only safer if they are from big exchanges so you can still get scammed if you join IEOs from low exchanges

Correct, there are so many IEO's there that's still providing a scam website or simply exchange.  Those exchanges are not legal I mean they are meant to be decentralized to scam people/investors. I have some tips to know if the IEO is legit or not. First it is legit if it's on the legitimate exchange like bittrex, poliniex like that major exchanges. Second is if the partner of that specific IEO token verified their partnership on it.
