This is a pump and dump, plain and simple. Don't be a idiot. brooklynite is going to buy coins before he announces, and then sell to all the stupid greedy sheeple that drive the price up when he says go. He is the only one that is going to make any money. Everyone else will lose.
This is probably the intention, but you are overestimating brooklynite's ability to keep a pump-and-dump cartel in line.

brooklynite is no fontas. Wink

OP: WWWD? (what would wolong do?)

what you guys dont understand is if one person tries to cheat and load up ahead of time it wont work for two reasons: 1) The coin could change last minute, 2) while he is loading the coin price will go up as he is taking down the sell orders so that coin is no longer rip for manipulation.

That is the only interesting question. And how to communicate, via skype, irc or how?

I don't think this is the right venue for this, maybe an IRC channel or something.

Good luck, I guess, with your project.

The fact remains... the one who decides about the coin, i'm 99% sure he holds a BIG bag of it and is waiting to dump it 10 minutes after the pumping starts. I've seen it being done before (galaxy coin few days ago).
Around 200 people were pumping, while the original pump whale was dumping.

Then those participants are not good at doing this. What they can do is to put many intermediate sell size at many sell prices and continuously put small buy amount to pump.  If they are not greedy and the volume is high, they can clear their bag. But they can't be greedy for high profit.

THERE IS NO FUNDAMENTAL with alts.

Well, there's a couple of interesting trading fundamentals for catcoin, so I'll advertise a little, since I stand to gain from a pump, and I personally believe in the fundamentals (or I wouldn't waste my time developing for it)

The biggest fundamental in Catcoin is that most of the people using it like cats.

The other interesting short term fundamentals are a new difficulty adjustment algorithm, and some exposure on Oprah, and using Catcoins and Dogecoins to donate to animal shelters.

There's also some sort of macro-economic argument about altcoins and increasing the money supply because bitcoin alone can't handle the growth rate, but that's a discussion for later.

I bet you $5 that this will not work, you need serious volume to do this. Like 100 BTC

This would work if you could successfully bribe btc-e to accept the coin, which I don't think they will do any more.

Depends on the coin, you could hit something like MIM/LTC, eat up 50M coins while tripling the current lowest sell for  less than 1.5BTC, and its reward halves in a few thousand blocks.

I find that manipulating an alt coin by myself is a much more rewarding experience!

 Grin Grin Grin

~BCX~

But manipulating coins that depend on what I'm going to do when I already know what I'm going to do is no fun, it's only fun when people either follow you around, or run away in fear of a KGW exploit, right? Tongue

Now if I could just figure out how to exploit floating-point round off errors in kgw...

lol thats not how it works, the whales don't jump in on coins that are rising., they already own the coins and dump them on the rises.

The coins are carefully selected. These are coins that whales have forgotten about. The time spent on buying and rising the coins is so short they are caught offguard. They have NOTHING to DUMP.

I am an active stock market trader since 1999 (thats 15 years already? wow) so I know market manipulation. You can stay offline and just watch. Don regret not getting in.

The coin we pick wont be DOGE for example, that needs massive BTC to move. IT will be a coin that can double based on the number of people getting in our group.

15 years of stock market trading experience to chose forgotten older low cap altcoins and to try to manipulate it.  Grin

Is your experience sufficient good?   Roll Eyes
