I think there is a turn around now mate. Currently the projects needs to be careful of the project that they want to list on now as some exchanges has been reported of scam. And all this new exchanges coming up can't be trusted in any way.

That the project started off as an IEO doesn't mean that it is automatically going to be profitable. It might be trustworthy and you're not getting scammed, but you can still invest in it and lose your money. So don't just automatically imagine that the project is going to grow at the long run because they started off on a big exchange. I have seen so many IEO's that start good at the beginning and their prices will be going, but at the end of it all, you will see the price plummet and a lot of investors their interest from it.

Of course one of the risks of IEO is the wrong choice of the exchange to list their token or coin during the IEO. There was a news about the certain exchange that scams their client that is holding IEO on the exchange (such as idax.pro). This will really influence the success of the project developer and investors. That is why, before holding certain IEO, it is better to ensure that the exchange to pick is the trusted one, with a good track record at least, moreover the top exchange will be better.

Regarding the issue of security, I completely agree with you - IEO really does not leave any chances to fraudsters. BUT it was much easier to get into the ICO than to the IEO. There you can track your transaction in the blockchain. At the same time, it is almost impossible to get to the IEO, except perhaps to win a lot of BINANCE (for which the chances are also extremely small).

On the contrary, it is even easier to steal money. In IEO now invest more. If a crook comes out on a well-known stock exchange, he can pick a big cash. Scammers can understand how to bypass the protection of exchanges and all we will have a new stream of fraud.

Yep fail or success IEO will drive the exchange that hositing popularity. Happened on Binance with their IEO, Most of them were success and profitable for investor.

The biggest downfall of most ICO is over complication and oversaturation of the ICO market, such a significant number of ICO's at any given moment, means that there are too many icos going on at every single time.
In a market that is not seeing too many new incomers, this is not sustainable and investors have to be more careful as some exchanges will device cunning means to make an iEO look great even if its not.

It's not the fault of exchanges if a project fails after ieo. I just think binance has already made a name for itself and so any project listed there will always pump.

Yes, that's true; this act of holding an exchange accountable if there is an exit scam in IEO is what to a great extent will keep IEOs scam free because no exchange is ready to go out of business or lose its users due to scam. Also, if an exchange poorly manages an IEO, it will only succeed in pushing investors away rather than attracting them, thus a bad business for the exchange too.
Furthermore, with this rise in IEOs, we should be wary of exchange that will promote one IEO or the other, especially exchanges which have no reputation but only coming to limelight due to IEOs.

I always said that it is better to participate in IEO on proven exchanges. Because if the exchange enjoys authority, it will be important to keep this authority. So she is going to take care that everything is done IEO was successful.

and since launching ieo is the new hype. even new and small exchanges are now giving launchpads for ieo projects. so in the long run, this kind of crowdfunding strategy will be proliferated with scammers again!
those big exchanges will keep their standards high to secure their reputation but those substandard exchanges will accept any kind of project, as long as they are giving income to their platform....

Exchanges don't even care about IEO projects. Point is that they need money, so in each case they will list project,but they don't make deep review and that is reality!

Ieo failure has less impacts on exchanges because good projects attract good exchanges
So if you have a bad ieo, the project isn’t solid enough

Actually I don't participate in any IEO done on mushroom exchanges without reputation.  I only participate in IEO done on reputable exchanges like Binance, Okex, Kucoin, Huobi, Gate.io . Even before participating, I don't rely on the fact that the exchange must have scrutinized the project, I do my personal research before delving in.

Exchanges were hosting IEOs in 2014, although they didn't call them IEOs back then. Some were held on reputable exchanges, but investors still lost money.

Even reputable exchanges will refuse to reimburse investor's losses. Buying into an IEO is always a gamble.

I am glad that exchanges have really taken the burden of verifying project teams authenticity. It is a sigh of relief. Now the worry belongs to the exchanges and they can easily ask for kycs with sensitive documents to protect themselves and thier communities at large from scam or any fraudulent activity that might be carried out by project developers

Only binance today that I see has considerable trust in the cryptocurrency market. they are able to maintain so many investors who but put their money in ieo binance and actually increase their interest

Indeed the IEO is actually a kind of double-edged sword for the Exchange itself. If it works then people will increasingly believe, if the project fails and also the exchange will get a bad reputation. And in the end the exchange must also rethink their exchange consumer confidence.
