hi, guys!
i was really surprised with the news that facebook's gonna provide all people kinda general-purpose stable coin.
in my ind its really cool idea that will completely change world of cryptocurrency.

Facebook would come into attack by different groups to give up any personal data it may have received about sending and receiving of money and the people involved. Facebook's coin can also be a secret project from the government of United States to counter the rise of anonymous cryptocoins.

You can't say if Libra is the new crypto king before Libra launches its project on cryptocurrency and has proven it, because cryptocurrency is not easy to predict, even though Libra gets partners and support from many big companies but it's still not enough for you to say if Libra is the new crypto king and can defeat or replace Bitcoin, because many people still support and trust Bitcoin, so I think it's very difficult to beat and replace Bitcoin.

but judging from what we hear it can be called cryptocurrency , technically
its a centralized ripple-style pseudo crypto , but still a crypto

I quite disagree with what you said .Libra is a new born baby though has wide connections and obviously its going long way . Bitcoin , Libra , they all serve different purpose . To me Libra is not the King. I will rather see Bitcoin as the King because Libra is just a new born baby .Obviously  the invention of Libra will boost cryptocurrency adoption Globally.

I am agree, when Facebook launches Libra Coin, a lot of good analysis about Libra Coin. But I'm not sure Libra Coin will be the king of cryptocurrency because in the end the market will determine. I think, bitcoin cannot be compared to Libra Coin because bitcoin has started to be recognized as a digital asset

Beyond it all, most people would say they trust decentralized coins but weak wills fall to the bandwagon.
After all, fiat is still strong, innit? Centralized cryptocurrencies are still going, aye?

Libra's appearance is both a catalyst that helps the widely known crypto market and a major threat to Ripple and Stellar. I think Libra will be a big project because facebook's ecosystem is quite strong, but it's too early to say it can become the king of crypto. But Libra will undoubtedly be a factor affecting the growth of the whole market, it recognizes the participation of a large company participating in the crypto market.

I think Libra system also supports Bitcoin, and if it does, I see this Libra project as a major boost for Bitcoin, and not even Libra itself, because like you rightly said, I think Facebook only developed a catalyst for the cryptocurrency world in which the beneficiary would be some of the top coins in the market.

Facebook Libra coin would really expose the world out there and most especially their users to blockchain tech in general, while they will also get awareness about its cryptocurrency product. Many people through Libra coin will get to know about other projects like Bitcoin that is good for investment, because I see Facebook coin as just utility token for their platform.

It has not launched yet, so we can't just say that Libra will be the new crypto king. Although it really has a great potential and the most promising coin nowadays, but we'll see in the future if it reaches our expectations. I still believe in bitcoin though.

libra may have a very large community. or maybe when the release and start trading libra can immediately occupy the top 100 coins. that might have happened because seeing so many large companies also had the development of this coin behind. not only facebook.

If our believe is about Facebook occupying the top position, there is honestly nothing to argue about that because it will surely do the moment it get released due to the large community they will attract like you said, but what I usually argue with people is when they think in their head that Facebook will occupy the seat of Bitcoin, which I still don’t know exactly the magic they will use to do so.

The fact that Facebook is popular now doesn’t really mean people love them that much, many people have issue with the way they don’t protect user’s privacy, they only use them because of the social media platform they have and because they need to communicate with friends and family through it, but now that it involves financial things, I doubt if people will really be behind them for this, investor would not have much coin in them and whatever money they put into their projects will just be to test it.

so , having glanced through their white paper , there can't be two more different cryptos than bitcoin and Libra
first thing , the new coin is going to be be based on permissioned node verification
i.e. with bitcoin any node that meets technical requirements can validate , with libra only the chosen few will be able to run a node
then there will be no mining as with bitcoin - libra will be "minted" , when the actual fiat currency is spent to buy it
and to crown it all there will be no pseudo anonimity , the new coin is positioned as ready for regulatory compliance
so no shenanigans possible , no money laundering , nothing that involves privacy , be ready to be scrutinized to a T if you are using libra

September Libra Developer Update - Roadmap #1

A few interesting points.
First of all, the roadmap:

Launching the Testnet has allowed the team to quickly improve Libra Core by making it easy to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software edge cases. The Testnet demonstrates Libra network functionality and provides early access to developers.

Following the Testnet, we hope to have a successful launch of the Libra Mainnet. One method we use for tracking the project's success is how many of the deployed nodes are managed by different partners. The end goal of Mainnet is for all partners to have nodes deployed on the network. Each node will run on a mixture of on-premises and cloud hosted infrastructure. Our belief is that wider diversity of infrastructure will provide more resiliency to the Libra network.

Next step is now happening: the pre-Mainnet, whatever it means:

Libra Pre-Mainnet
As the project tracks towards the Mainnet milestone, it is necessary to bring more nodes online while maintaining the operation of the testnet. To aid this effort, we've created a staging environment that we call Pre-Mainnet. Pre-Mainnet is currently only accessible to partner nodes to allow them to connect to each other. A handful of partners have already deployed their nodes and have them communicating with each other. We expect to have more partners coming online shortly. We want to ensure the Libra network can meet rigorous performance benchmarks and overall system stability before opening access. Stay tuned.

As usual technology is going farther and quicker than legislation.
