Got me thinking.
You know, there's an F-word. So I think there should be an L-word.
F - for Facebook.
L - for Libra. Sorry Smiley

And to the topic - Libra is just trying to get attention, but no one actually taking it seriously. Even PayPal, as someone noticed above, refused from a partnership with L.

I don't know why people are saying that Libra is the new crypto king. I know Libra is a big project and it will connect to many people . but still it is nothing but a centralized coin.
The centralized coins have a future like decentralized coins but it is too early to see a full decentralization. The blockchain technology is not fully applied to the traditional economic and financial systems but we wait for the optimized world with the blockchain technology. The peer to peer system advantages can change the world but everything has the timing and Libra is a middle step for reaching the goal IMO.

That's just so funny to read after the recent news about PayPal becoming the first member to exit Facebook's Libra Association. Don't know about 'crypto king', OP.
they just announced that they want to leave, but they didn’t. so far these are all rumors that have not been confirmed in any way. need to continue to monitor the development

No,
they formally declared to withdraw:

You can't compare Bitcoin and Facebook Libra. Bitcoin is more like a currency while Facebook Libra is stablecoins. Bitcoin was designed as a digital store of value and also a payment system while Facebook Libra is going to be created as a giant worldwide stablecoin. Bitcoin is not a stablecoin while Libra is.

Rumors that spreading to continue getting the attention of the community, its also use as free advertisement since even the rumors spreading around showed some negative info and the feedback can harmed the project but still it's bring interest. It's best to keep following and monitoring the movement of this project inside the industry before finally being launched.
Libra's potential is still on its way, only the investors and traders will bring it to reality.

We cannot compare it because there is no valid comparison, it looks like they are living in a different world.
Bitcoin could be the king of crypto while Libra will likely to be the king of stable coins market, if I can decide which crypto to consider, I think this stable coin is not a crypto since they follow the norms of the centralized system.

Bitcoin and volatility are the key factors on why this market grows, if its stable, there's no difference with fiat and other digital currency, and people will not invest on bitcoin. its features is unique and very attractive for investors that's why it reached its current value now.

when PayPal has officially come out, I guess a lot of people are making use of this and putting pressure on libra. this is also evidenced in the article released in today's cointelegraph. there it is said that commemorating Visa, Master Card, and Stripe for reading regulation which can be related to libra. if this is true, chances are that these 3 big companies could have followed PayPal's footsteps. this is really detrimental to libra.

There will be a big impact in the cryptocurrency market if the libra will be now available. I am sure that the eyes of the most investors are now in Libra because it's have a good team behind and it is the Facebook, INC.

You can take out Paypal among the list, we'll still waiting for the next company to leave the group, so far,  no company is following Paypal,
Paypal pefer to choose Gopay than being with Libra Coin.
But I have doubt if they will become the new Crypto coin, they are a stable coin they have a different purpose in the market compare to what Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies are offering, so we'll have to see what is to come and Libra coin will eventually launch.

From what I read, Paypal left the Libra consortium because it wanted to work on the Chinese market. We know that the Chinese market is very large and if Paypal is still joining the Libra consortium, Paypal will have difficulty in terms of regulation to enter the Chinese market.

I just wanted to offer the same thing, take paypal out.
The regulators took hold of Libra tightly, that's true. Paypal's output made a lot of noise. but it seems to me that all this benefits the project.
The stronger they press on the libra, the stronger its release after launch will be, because in this case it will turn out that Libra won, and public attention will be riveted to it.
Yes, the project has other goals, well, let it give the market something new.

Interesting news from Devcon. Libra will be forked and will be created OpenLibra on Tendermit blockchain.

I hope this cryptocurrency will be free from any regulatory restrictions.

If I look at the picture, it shows that Libra is the king who is supported by many large companies. But Libra is currently not able to provide all good guarantees. Libra is just a name that was popularized, not a blockchain that is already popular. This is far different from Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin and Ethereum are already popular with proven users far more than others.

OpenLibra might be better than Libra  Grin “There is no token sale. No equity and no company behind this initiative.” People like decentralization. That's the problem with Libra they are not decentralized and our privacy is not guaranteed.

There are negative news about the Libra. PAYPAL withdrew from this. I don't know why, but it's kind of sad. An organization like Paypal would be a great reference for the system to work.

Libra wont even see daylight as we speak on the list of partners a big company already pulled out, because I think the reason is that there are big people who is figthing libra to be launched also the government started an inquiry to the project and they are against it
thats why there is a slight chance that libra will be available anytime soon so tha is bad news fo us, but if this coin happens to be launch secretly to the government I think it will not even push through because, powerful people will stop this

In the first place Libra is not a part of cryptocurrency yet due to its launching is not happening so far and it will be by next year is their launching time 2020. And what a great hype you are saying, were it is obviously you are attracting anyone to support Libra, and you must give a strong basis article link that Libra will become a King. and of course you can't show anything that will prove to become a new king that's because you are deceiving many of here, and the majority for sure won't believe on you.

I think it's too early to say that Libra will be the king of crypto. libra hasn't proven anything yet. it's just that libra was created by facebook which is worldwide and famous and is supported by banks and big companies like mastrecard, visa, paypal and others. let's wait in 2020 when libra is launched, will libra be able to replace bitcoin?
if I still choose bitcoin because bitcoin has been proven to last a long time until now. and i think libra movement can be controlled by facebook unlike bitcoin which is free no one controls.
