THere will be no perfect ICO team in this community.
As they need to walk on the path of struggles and solutions for the development.
What we should look for is an active team which consist of brilliant and dedicated people.
A great project to offer to the people and a nice marketing.

sometimes I see the profile of their team and see what skills they have, but everyone knows that in the bounty campaign it is not too much of an assessment because the main thing that is assessed by participants is how much funding they will get. LOL

The funds are not collected enough for a reasons like inability to promote the project features. I have never faced with similar situations which created with purpose. Teams always want to look like different than reality, so the given data is not safe for use.

Hello Bitcointalk Community,

I would like to know from your point of view as an investor how a Team needs to look to get convinced.

Apart from the idear of the project I would be glad to get to know your opinion how a perfect Team looks like.

The reason behind this question is, that some teams have 3-4 members and others show off with 20.

I am looking forward to a good discussion.

Cheers

Firstly, no project team is perfect but what the crypto investors like the most in team of a project is honesty (either concern the project or tram profile information), togetherness and interaction with the investors about new update (this make investors believe the project team actually treat them kindly). However, this is why a lot of people support ETH.

The math for the great project is not so complicated. We need 3-5 known persons in the team - CEO, CTO, Marketing and some famous advisors. A perfect cap for ICO should not more than 3-5 million like IEO are having right now. And of course a fresh idea.

In my opinion, a good team of a project can be considered a good team when they meet at least these criteria:
1. They are professional on their fields
2. They have experienced to do similar case projects or others with certain experiences.
3. They have a good track record previously to ensure us as the investors that they are real, not scammers.
I think those three criteria will really help us to pick the project and believe on the team.

And if I may add, they are not for get-rich-quick easy scheme but they have the intentions of really achieving their deliverables for the project. They might have the experience but their dedication to the project might be absent. And the dedication and passion of a particular team will only be seen by time.

I may add that the passion can already be seen in the pre phase. The difference to a get-rich-quick easy is, that those people dont show their personality, address of the business or far more their personal information.

yes you are right, maybe experience and expertise are important. but if they are not serious about developing the project, in the end the project will only become Trash. see there are many projects that are dead right now, and they have an experienced team. and the average main reason is because the development does not work well or not according to the specified roadmap.

I would add that most of the team should be public people. That is, they should have active profiles in social networks (at least in Linkedin and Facebook), created not a month before the announcement of the project.

Visiting all profiles from the team via LinkedIn is also an effective way to find out whether he has the ability or not to manage a project. if there is a team profile that is suspicious or cannot be accessed, we should leave the project.

If you are new to project team I want to look legit then they need to provide all the details with transparent of their contact and everything they can do for their investor. Hiding themselves under someone's identity will show them as scam project.

First of all it should be filled with people that are active. I know that sounds like a no brainer thing but I have seen so many ICO's with team members who are just there for the name and they are mostly just working with the main core owners on some ideas and some funding stuff but that's it.

You can have just 10 people to work on your team and you will still be better than anyone ever. Everyone has to have their own positions and works cut out for them and they need to do it every single waking hour of the day. You have a community manager? Well that person has to talk with people all around the social media and bitcointalk and wherever else all day everyday, you have a CTO and a coder? They have to code and make it better every single day, you have marketing expert... well you got it. Most of the teams just exist as a team but we see very little action from them, we need actual concrete action.

The number of members is not a sure reference that the team is a great team, but a good team is an experienced team, meaning you have to look at the people behind the ICO, because the success of an ICO is due to the big name of the ICO team

Any team should be well educated and know everything about their project, they should make good marketing decisions to support the hype around their projects. Furthermore, they need to stick to their roadmap and keep their promises.

It depend on the largeness of the project. When we are talking about team, we should not consider advisors as part of the team because they aren't part of the core team. For a small scale project, 5-10 team is OK while for a medium scale project, 15-25 team is OK while for the large scale project, 30-50 team member is OK. It is sad to see that despite the fact of enormous project that are being announced every day, 90% of them do not use their real profile. Many of them even use fake names

One of the important points of consideration is team with a verifiable identity, but this does not determine the success of any project but gives some level of confidence and trust that a project is being handled be some verifiable individuals

every investor certainly has their own views, I personally believe more with projects that have real products, such as exchange platforms. please make your own judgment.

I think if you want to find a good project just seeing a team that is open in running the project gives certainty not a promise and if you want to see the team please visit their profile whether experienced in running projects like in Linkend's profile and I think a lot of teams consist of 10 people are more convincing than 1-4 people
