Hello Bitcointalk Community,
I would like to know from your point of view as an investor how a Team needs to look to get convinced.
Apart from the idear of the project I would be glad to get to know your opinion how a perfect Team looks like.
The reason behind this question is, that some teams have 3-4 members and others show off with 20.
I am looking forward to a good discussion.
Cheers
Your Stag3 Team

The number of the teams doesn't really matter and that doesn't mean you should join projects with one or two teams ,there are new projects that are still hiring new team members but they must have reach some milestones like having good popular advisors ,office address and history of past companies they worked with

A development team for an ICO doesn't have to "look" anything base on the point of view of each investor. They just have to be true with what they are working, no bias, no hidden agenda but true intention of making a project into reality.

I am looking for a few criteria when assessing the team. First, I want to know they are real people with experience and connection. LinkedIn is mandatory for me. Second, the team balance is important. I want to see a team comprised of both tech and business people.

Transparency is the key, you want people to give you money, of course, they know who are they going to commit their hard earned money, we have seen in the scam sections where dubious projects are faking team members, just to make them look professional, who are the team and are they really that experts in their field.

So you would rather have a project where the Team works honest and transparent compared to a Team that tries to fake expertise right ?

and if they provide their LinkedIn profiles, try to contact at least one of them and confirm their involvement with the project. sometimes you need to check if what they are saying is true & not using someone else's profile. I agree with that, the team should have balance. people might know how to handle business but they don't know how to realise their technology. so it's a win win situation to both parties.

If the team is talking about a big project. Of course it would be better if there were a lot of team members. And preferably with experience in the blochkchayn industry. It is difficult to search for information on the team but everything is possible.

I certainly agree. I did observe that many projects try quantity over quality. I always wondered how 10 Advisors can actually help you. I do think honesty and transparency and good communication is needed more than ever to reach a Soft & Hard cap.

in my opinion the appearance of a good ico team must always display the position in accordance with their expertise and must be accompanied by proof, besides that the ico team must also actively provide news for investors and participants to be able to make trust. that in my opinion

Well the proof would be a solid Linkedin profile i think. Do you agree?. Yes the team members should engage. Their should ring a bell if they dont. Thanks for your feedback by the way. Cheers

Its a real difficult questions but at least they are some clues to identify if Team are truly genuine . Their linkedin Profile must be carefully examined and other social media details.. It is ideal to learn about this date they registered their Social media account and its ideal to contact at least 3 of them and have a conversation with them .Another means of assessment is checking the project rating with ICO Bench or other project rating platform . If their Team are not verified , its not ideal to participate in such project.

If your team doesn't have a slew of lawyers and auditors that know not only US but also laws of every nation that your selling your currency in, then you are a scammer in my eyes and will fail.

Right, if someone who has found to be guilty of some shady behavior and actions before, that's already a red flag for that project.

in my opinion the perfect ICO Team looks like : 1. always respond to questions from investor 2. all transactions during ICO or after ICO (anything related to ICO project) must be transparent 3. team must work according to roadmap and whitepaper that has been made 4. the project and the identity of the team must be clear, so investors can trust to invest in the project 5. the team always notifies the latest information or developments that have occurred on the project from ICO
