you have already answered your own question! there can be a new coin some day that takes bitcoin's place but so far we have seen thousands of new coins and none of them were even good let alone want to come close to bitcoin to take its place  Theoretically, everything is possible and maybe we will see sometime a cryptocurrency that will take the place of Bitcoin. But at the moment this is not even close to see. At the moment, Bitcoin is the most popular, expensive and easy to use cryptocurrency. |

One thing is sure by now. A cryptocurrency with better technology won't be able to overtake Bitcoin. If that was the case, then Ethereum could have overtaken Bitcoin by 2014/15. Or third generation cryptocurrencies such as Cardano and NEO could have overtaken Bitcoin by 2017. Bitcoin has survived tough competition and its market share has grown considerably during the last 3-4 months.

They say Libra is a major threat to btc but we will never know. If Libra really did dethrone btc in the future then no cryptocurrencies can ever take its place because first is that it is backed by Facebook and I'm sure that those who uses FB will use their coin regardless of the privacy matter. But if Libra fails to do that then bitcoin will remain the king of crypto forever.

with a limited amount of bitcoin available I think bitcoin is the most important and attractive coin. for a long time to come I am very confident that bitcoin will still be the king of crypto. and will not be easily replaced.

In a thousand times yes, bitcoin would always be the king of all cryptocurrencies so far as it is one of the popular trade pairs on cryptocurrency exchange. Look at it this way, supposing any new coin comes up and seems to be good to invest. Crypto enthusiasts are still going to use BTC to purchase that coin and the more the need for that coin the relatively higher demand of bitcoin that is going to be in the ecosystem hence still pushing BTC upfront.

if crypto will take over the system? the answer is yes without any speculation , like peer to peer file sharing is all over the world and its impossible to stop it..with peer to peer money there are just more friction to scale it compare to peer to peer file sharing, until business adopt it and people get used to it.
if it will remain the king of crypto for now yes with all the shitcoins that come, but if top quality coins will start to pop up bitcoin will have competitors for sure.

This will be just a dream and nothing to say but there is no strong basis for this thought. It actually Libra isn't capable of dethroning BTC and even with the top leading coins in the market. Libra is just new in the market and it is not even performing well. I don't know why people will say that Libra will be the next bitcoin, it is really impossible to happen. I consider Bitcoin as the king of Crypto Market to be valid until the cryptocurrency exists. I am not too sure about Libra until really enter the market. Whatever Bitcoin is superior in many ways as well as to its anonymity. |

I think that for the short term for the next five years, bitcoin will still be the king of crypto currencies. Public enthusiasm for bitcoin is very high. Public trust in bitcoin is increasingly increasing so that bitcoin is increasingly popular. Moreover, the recent increase in bitcoin has made bitcoin prices rise rapidly making more bitcoin lovers. But over the next five years I have not predicted who will rule the crypto currency market. I think between bitcoin, eth, and BNB will compete to occupy that position.

So, My question is, Will Bitcoin remains the king of Crypto Market in the future?
So far I have not seen any coin in the market and those coming in that can really be challenged Bitcoin's supremacy, all coins are just a threat and no coins have stepped forward from being a threat, even the so-called Libra coin is not going to be a big threat since this is a stable coin. |

Yeah, I am sure on it that bitcoin will remains king of crypto market, you could see a lot of new coins have come in cyrpto market, but they can't break the bitcoin, the strongest thing is, too much years bitcoin has first position then you could understand it that in future bitcoin will also remain it. THE MOST RIGHT ANSWER RELATIVE...** in crypto time function is different , what i mean is time is relative, which mean in crypto bitcoin can be on the second place or even third place.... because in crypto there there is low supply coins which mean the growth rate can be so fast....its unbelivable and be in the same time stable, which mean time in crypto space is very different and depend on the factor of max supply and must be low supply and if the coin is top quality and have great tech and everything is in place, it can compete the btc very easy why??? again time is relative thing which mean if bitcoin hold 11 years or 50 years it dosent matter because time in crypto depend on 2 factors low supply and top tech coin if yes you can see in under 6 months competitor to bitcoin.... albert ensiten said time is relative ... so bitcoin can be on the second or third place very fast and easy because time in crypto is relative and very different...you know when you move close to the speed of light the time is relative... its so fucking deep and interesting dont forget zcash spiked to 2 million dollar per coin evn it didnt stay there its just show that time in crypto space is very relative which mean new coin can get to the top by the factors i wrote above |

Bitcoin with its increased price and user community serves to be the king of the crypto market. Though some form of price crash and other price manipulations take place nothing the dominance of bitcoin will be high throughout which confirms that it is the king of the market. 63% is not something easily achievable by any potential investment or multipurpose usage assets.

No random coin can come and take away bitcoins current place. High chance bitcoin will still remain at the top position. Why do you think the bitcoin will "stop" working in the future? Unless a huge unsolvable flaw is found on bitcoin, it will still "work". Yeah, a new coin may take over bitcoins place if the new coin can somehow solve all problems related to crypto currencies and is well adapted in the whole world. |

the fact new coin price si following bitcoin price trend, not only for new coin but most of coin on market follow the king of crypto. and for now is impossible to replace bitcoin as king. but for future nothing imposible there. i see many coin have chance for that. like BNB , ETH or NEO

btc can currently, can be considered the mother of coins, the whole market virtually, depends on this, perhaps in the future, some currency can reach the btc value.
No one knows if there's a currency that will reached what bitcoin already have now, Bitcoin was considered as the king and will stay as long as there's no competition that will be adopted massively like what Bitcoin have now, but it's an open venue so chances to happen is there. |
