I've read a good analysis of Liverpool financial conditions which more or less tells that they've decided to have a quiet transfer window at this moment and will probably spend more in the next transfer window. They decided to use the money for something else.

So it isn't totally about money, yes, we're entitled to be cynical, but we've seen recent fairytales like Spurs in the final, Ajax in the Semis, and Leicester dancing to the title.

I don't believe they're fairytales, to be honest. They worked hard like crazy to turn conditions and win their matches. They deserved that spot.

Money is a huge factor for success in football these days, but if only spent the right way.

Yeah, it's so rare to see one man one club again these days. No more manga-style football in real life.

Crusaders F.C. played very bad against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the last match, and I do not think Crusaders F.C. would have any chances to progress to the next stage even with the support of their home fans today. But I guess Wolverhampton Wanderers might field a much more defensive formation today as Crusaders F.C. would have to attack aggressively right from the start of the match in order to score goals, and this would allow Wolverhampton Wanderers to launch a counterattack when the players of Crusaders F.C. mess up their defense.

Occasionally, pure brilliance and talents do pay off too. That was the case with Ajax in 2018/19 Season, they were one of least valuable team but did pull off great wins against several money giants in the UCL.

The big teams use the money at their disposal to acquire the most talented and brilliant players, making their teams mostly untouchable to the smaller teams.
Just like i said before, it's not to say upsets do not happen, but hardly do they, in the case of Ajax and a few other teams mentioned above they have actually managed to pull off a few upsets here and there, but they can hardly claim the title, except on rare occasions that would hardly ever repeat itself.

Astana are seriously not doing themselves any favours. I bet against them on something like 20/1 last week (still lost, 0-0 draw), and now they needed a penalty to go 1-1. Shocking if they go out.

I think that Crusaders will park the bus again. I hardly imagine amateur team can play against solid EPL team. Such tactics would mean that they will concede 5-6 goals. I doubt that Crusaders are thinking about next round, they will probably focus on how to concede not many goals.
@buwaytress, Astana won 4-1, but looking at stats, seems it was difficult match. It strange to see team which playing in Europa league group stage almost every season struggling against team from Andorra.
Imade lot of bets today, I'm looking for Zorya, Torino, Apollon, Luzern, Sturm Graz and Utrecht wins. Ihope there won't be many unexpected results

EDIT. So, there are some surprising results again - Riga FC kicked out Polish champions Piast, Pyunik Yerevan eliminated Jablonec, Utrecht got eliminated Zrinjski.

Luckily Wolverhampton Wanderers are still clearly the stronger and much better team, even though they make a mistake by conceding an own goal in their own net, but they still managed to beat Crusaders F.C. by scoring 4 goals easily playing away from home.

Wolverhampton Wanderers is a strong team that is hungry for success, though they conceded a goal they never lost faith in their abilities to win the match. They can indeed go higher in the league as they have shown good form so far, and when they win against Pyunik then they’ll either face Torino or Shakhtyor. Honestly I don’t think these are smart bets as there’s nothing known about these teams, I would advise you to save your money and bet on Wolverhampton when they face against Torino or Shakhtyor.

Today two games ended with unexpected results. First, Linfield (North Ireland) won against Sutjeska - it's huge surprise. Also, Saburtalo won against Ararat away. Riga - HJK draw is somewhat expected, but I have to say that Riga played a bit better.
Just one game on wednesday - Slovan will face Dundalk. It should be easy for Slovan.

I think that Rangers did a good job tonight by winning against Midtylland and securing their qualification as they won 2-4 in Denmark.I find it a little bit strange compared with last round where in the returning leg Rangers did not win against a much weaker team compared to Midtylland.

Anyone got any joy from last night's games? I stupidly thought Aberdeen could turn the 2nd leg around, so added them to my Astana/Rangers parlay (which were comfortably won both)... but then after the sending off they just couldn't muster any attacks.

Wolves had themselves another goal fest so I hope this gives them confidence to score a lot more on the next EPL match -- I got Diogo Jota down as a scorer!

They earned a meeting with Torino, who'll be much tougher. Anyone know where to place Outright Winner bets now? I'd love to put a tenner on Wolves!
