Agreed, lottery game is hard to survive in this crypto gambling industry but there are some who are able to survive such as freebitcoin and the lottery at crypto-games.net. Since this new site is going to be a free lottery game, I think the chance to survive is better because the number of people who tries to get free money online is still big enough but obviously it will depend how this site attract those free money hunters.

If I make donation back from the amount I won, this means I manually decrease reward for myself in order to increase reward for others which doesn't seem fair from winner's perspective, a lot of users won't donate. On another hand it seems you try to cover all costs with advertisement. Yeah, it's good but how can you get much traffic? You need good amount of trafic in order to get ad request from "quality advertisers" which is hard to achieve despite the fact that you offer free bitcoins, have you thought about it or do you have a plan for it?

Based on everything that I have read, it seems that you have an idea which you are thinking of implementing, but lack the necessary funds to do so. This is a poor way of advertising op.

Did you really expect people to show interest towards some random idea? You should have prepared something concrete at the very least in order to join the competition. I advise you to work out all these flaws asap and then start promoting your project.

Okay, so you're saying you are launching a crypto lottery that won't even have any ads at first, and to participate in which people won't have to pay anything? Surely, it sounds very good, but in fact, it sounds too good to be true. What's the catch here? Why do you want to give people money for free? Is it for traffic? And you are planning to have profit from this project out of the ads?
I'm not saying you're a scammer, but it would be easier to understand and participate if there were more information about your vision.

The idea could be good but the execution is the most important thing, this is a very thin thread and if you fail to achieve it then it makes no sense and nobody uses it.

So, if you can find a good investor that believes in this project and have a good start with a good website and a good product plus actually do what you set out to do then in the long run you can make the money back, but if you can't make a good start then there are dozens of ideas every single day that doesn't see the finish line, hell I have plenty of ideas and never actually execute them because I do not have enough time plus I do not have enough funds, give people 100 bitcoins (anyone) and tell them to work on a product and not work for a living they will dedicate all their day to building a great project, it all comes down to time management and funding.

I am very confused how this lottery will be funded. You at first said it would be with ad revenue and later stated it would be by donation.

Making a large amount of $ by ad revenue is very difficult. And most people who are involved with Crypto and keep wallet.dat files and other private keys on there computer are not going to go to some website which has 10 popups and risk getting some malware, even if people did do that. You would not generate enough ad revenue.

You said you will get it by donation. However how exactly are you going to get people to donate. People gamble to make money not to give their away. I don't see you getting too many donations this way.

I think it is "stunning" as in the sense that people who read the project will be stunned about how many parts of the project is actually missing. We are talking about a project that will literally have no legs to stand on without any profit at all because they are declining all stuff and making it free, I mean lottery works with tickets sold and those ticket purchases fueling the winners cut and the expenses of the lottery as well.

Did you even read what he wrote in the original post before jumping into conclusion? He will be keeping the first few days of the lottery advertisement free and you will just have to post your wallet address. I am guessing his main revenue is through the advertisement. I won't be surprised if you will have to watch advertisements to get tickets.

I think it is a plan op has. It is still in the process and he might be test here to find out what people think about his project. The more crypto grow the more we should expect many of this type of projects coming out and the more we should also lend to separate the bad one from the good one.

I think if you do not listen to what the feedback is saying you will not become even a website that is getting a single dollar donation. We have seen multiple places trying to make some sort of donation based gaming and none of them ever worked, there is not a single success story out of donation based profiting whereas there is a plenty of them failing. So, why do you think these people come in here and write to you that donations will not work and why do you insist on them working?

Why do you think that people will suddenly start to give websites donations for making more money when they know for a fact that others may not be doing it, they would be literally risking their money for the chance of doing something a person who is not risking money would get. I think you should start looking at other options.

It's really pathetic to just read the theory.
It would have been great if you had made a demo, then created this thread.
Just writing all the features of the site, without implementing it won't work.
And as far as i can see,  you are not at all serious about your site.
Else you would have act as how professionals do in this field.

My understanding is a mixture of both proposal and plan. Basically, the guy is trying to launch a crypto lottery and he's asking for approval more or less or wether we think it is going to work. It can't reach a plan or proposal level, he did not study the feasibility of the project, did not think of a clear plan, don't know how to program a website, or at least tracking of registered addresses (including addresses that donated and free take only addresses), daily participants cut-off, how is the winning numbers determined. At first when i looked at his wix.com site, i thought he would do it by using "Export CSV" feature, or Order/Cart management features, some excel skills..But a big not surpising laugh after all, he might came up with a sudden idea after a wet dream sleeping and decided to post here right away without a due deligence.

The most important part of this project is that he doesn't want to spending anything, at least for the free lottery model, and it draw every day, he need to spend money to feed the prize, like at least few bucks. At least for me if I am him, 10$ each day as minimum, let it run for a month to test the market / community reach.

Its a lot harder to succeed when users knew their coins will end up being a donation. The word donation isn't good for a gambler. A gambler is not that stupid to just give way coins in hope that he'd be picked randomly and win the amount contributed.

I really think gambling in crypto had matured so much that almost all idea are already exploited from simple dice to sports betting down and then to dividends distribution of tokenized casinos.
