Is it safe to buy using Bitcoin

Hello:
I am new to cryptos and I must say that my first experience has been a bad one, I recently visited antminerusa.com and purchased some hardware, that was about 10 days ago, I paid using BTC, now the site is no longer available, its been down for 3 days maybe a bit more, this lead me to think this website is a scam.  Now what should I do to recover my BTC, if the purchase where made using a credit card, I would report it to my bank and they could void or cancel payment, but with BTC what should I do?, if there is nothing that I can do, then it is obvious that using cryptos is a scammers paradise because there is no protection to buyer (that I know), unless there is a way to introduce the complain in the chain in order to reverse payment.

Cryptocurrency is not the same with buying in store or mall that you can return/exchange an items within 7 days period. In crypto,if you did a transaction successfully you can't get it back unless the you know the person you have sent it and ask him to give it back to you. That's always be carefull in making transactions,check it first very well because you and only you is the only responsible for all your transactions made inside the crypto world.

Before you buy follow this simple steps
1. Watch where you buy
2. Keep a watchful eye on your wallet
3. Don't buy off line except you have an escrow or are totally certain.
Buying bitcoin is safe but careless attitude can cripple that

You traded on an exchange that cheated you and took all your BTC and they closed the site, it's sad that you didn't learn the site you bought, which shows that you lack experience. and the number of BTC you will never get back because they deliberately took yours. Buy with BTC securely when you buy the right place in the big, highly liquid website.

Yeah because there is no cancel button for the transaction that you sent, There is no police or special agency will be responsible when you are cheated by hackers, or investment sites scam. Therefore you have to be really careful who you trade with, the trustworthiness of the investment site you choose and many others. You should careful by using bitcoin.

If you buy BTC at the right exchange, everything will be safe, but if you buy at the wrong exchange, all your money will be lost.  Remember now there are a lot of scammers here, so we must be careful and do your research well before deciding to buy Bitcoin or other Crypto coins.

buying at the right exchange still have some risk . what if you deposit your fiat and when your about to buy a btc the exchange suddenly got hacked ?  but dont worry because the chance that this can happen is pretty slim especially if you are using a trusted exchange  .

that is if you are a newbie but if not  , you will be aware if what is a legit exchange and what is shady  .  its not bad for a newbie to fail at first try but he should learn from that failure so that he can get wiser and will not loose more than what he should be earning

That is why you don't keep coins in an exchange you trade and then finish.
You must always use a small test amount first. Maybe even break your withdraws into pieces. Never deposit everything in one go.

I think it depend on the location, because if the internet connection is good that would become easy and safe to buy using bitcoin.
But if the place is poor for data connection it will be hard to use bitcoin as mode of payment. But this is 100% safe I am sure about that.

These operations do not differ much from other transactions, but even more safe. If you are going to buy something for Bitcoin, you risk even less than when you are planning to do the same thing with your national currency, Euro, or dollar. probably, the seller is simply the guy who wants to join the crypto market using this way.
It is a win-win deal for both sides as I can guess.

yes it is safe to buy and invest in bitcoin especially now that its price is low and i'm sure that if you invest in it now and sell when its price goes up or trade with other coins it's big money what you earn.

thats not what the op wants to know . price of bitcoin isnt also the basis if its safe to buy using it but we must first check the website that we wanted to buy on . its always a good idea to avoid those unfamilliar shopping sites and just stick on the popular ones for your own safety because btc transactions are ireversible not unlike to credit cards and other centralized payment methods such as paypal  .  though buying using btc isnt really the best option for me rather i use other cryptos for to save up on the fees  .

Bitcoin transaction is irreversible so you need to be more careful in every transaction that you are going to make especially if you are buying something and
 your payment will be made through bitcoin.

You have lapses also as you didn't check first the credibility of the website or store before you made the payment. If you have no means in contacting the website support where you bought the products then there is nothing you can do about it.

There are no any possible way you can recover your lost bitcoin wether if it is scammed or anything else.No way you can revise an transaction.If the admin decided to refund your funds then maybe you get something back but until then no.

Safety and security in online world is overal problem, not just question related to Bitcoin. Therr is no absolute security and you can't fully rely on providers and services, you have to protect your data and your wallet on your own. You can't pull back Bitcoin transactions so.you always need to double check everything.

What are your'e proof to said that is not safe, even nowadays lots of people still buying bitcoin, maybe its not safe to invest on some people or site that indeed fake, or scam.

i think there are people that prefer to buy using bitcoins and some do not prefer to buy with bitcoin the reason why is thier own experiences. for me i think i prefer not to buy with bitcoin because i prefer to use my local currency to buy and use the bitcoin for investing and other stuff

Well bitcoin is very volatile you cant say that you are not gonna buy bitcoin instead hold it and when the bitcoin rises up its where you buy, its a good investment a short term investment.
