The boom of altcoins was certainly caused by the boom in ICOs. You did not mention when is that altcoins season will occur or specific months, in my opinion, there is no such thing as altcoin seasons, you get to stumble great projects, regardless of what season or months, you just find one, if you do not want to bounty hunting you can anytime but there are always great projects around.

Well if the project is solid and have a quality that has use cases for humanity it's good to promote that kind of project because the success and payment is high, altcoin season may not commence this year but still a good time to participate on bounties and accumulate.
