There are still banks who are very optimistic about cryptocurrency. One of those is the Union Bank of the Philippines. Before, they launched  ATM machines which indicates that they are supporting bitcoin and  can possibly step forward about mass adoption. This creates positive impact about blockchain technology.

Aside from that, Union Bank confirms that they will now releasing their own "Stable Coin".. They want to minimize the volatility which bitcoin and other coins are giving, that is why they have decided to make a stable coin. Take note that they are now have a permit from BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) which approves virtual currency exchanges and other money/financial issues.

This somehow excites me, I know there are a lot of stable coin now in the crypto market. But knowing our prestigous Bank (Union Bank) is launching this kind of crypto stable coin makes me realized that mass adoption is really near to achieved especially in our country.

Ang galing din ng ginawa ng Unionbank sa mga pakulo nila. Parang gusto ko mag open ng bank account sakanila dahil dun. Ang alam ko ang minimum ata na balance is 100K? Malaki din pala talaga.

Sa stable coin na ilalabas nila, buti naman na napili nila gawin 'to and kaya na i-peer to peer transactions. More than a year ago, nakipagcollaborate din ang UnionBank sa ConsenSys upang gumawa ng hakbang patungkol sa kung paano ma-improve ang kanilang serbisyo gamit ang Ethereum Blockchain. Hindi ko na alam kung ano na ang update doon sa project nila na Kaleido eh. Pero meron yun dating naumpisahan. Sana natuloy ang development.

Sana yung project ng nem na magkaroon ng course about sa blockchain in college, hope it success and ma- implement.

Though they claim that they have approval with BSP I guess maganda parin na sinabi nila how does there stablecoin be classified kung ito ay backed by another asset, if it is pegged for another cryptocurrency or relying sa smart contracts. Baka pagdating ng panahon alam niyo na mag-iba ang claim nila sa kanilang produced product and I guess that's unethical move gaya nalang ng nangyari sa Tether kamakailan lang.

Seryoso 100k ang minimim account sa kanila? Balak ko din gumawa ng account dyan kasi mababa lang ang fee kapag mag-eencash ka sa kanila to coins. Kadalasan kasi ng banko 5-10k pesos ang minimum account.

Kung ganon, maganda nga yan. Pwede na agad i-direct sa bank account natin at sana mas mura sa transaction fee. Sakit sa bulsa ng coins. Pero I'm sure pahirapan yan sa pag-approve sa BSP. Pero masaya na rin ako kasi supposedly banks should be against to cryptocurrency pero ginagawa nila, joining their enemy. Kasi alam nila na they don't have control over people sa atin. 100k ay malaki ah. But I think it's worth a try. Stablecoin naman eh.
