In this test the target given to the New Zealand team in the first innings was not achieved by the other team, which is the Ireland team, in the second innings because the target was 490 run. Look, the second team took the first innings to achieve their target so they scored only 179 run. When the second innings started, even then they batted and they could only score 232 run in the second innings. Ireland was defeated by 79 runs in the first and second innings combined. If you look at it, whoever scored the first, the second team had a heavy hit on both innings. Rachin Ravindra scored 121 runs and this is not his highest score, while the second team's highest score was Andy McBrine's 73. If you look closely only two players from the New Zealand team played well and if not all the other then they fulfilled their duty.

In fact, if we leave aside all other things, if we come to one thing, we already knew which team would actually win this match.

Because simply speaking, if we talk about ICC rankings, then New Zealand is at number five, while Ireland is not getting any rating in Test rankings because they have not played the required amount of Tests ( within the three-year cycle. And that is why I had the idea from the beginning that Ireland would lose this match very badly.

NZ scored 490 runs in first innings and its not possible for team like Ireland to score that much runs. Whats disappointing is that Ireland failed to score decent runs in both innings. Most of Irish batsmen were not able to make it to double figures in both innings. Irish main aim for this test  must be to give a decent, fight which will help them in improving there test cricket but they failed to do so. Tom Blundell was given man of the match award for scoring 186 runs in first innings. 

Tom Blundell was player of the match because he played for the team and he made 186 runs in this match which was an easy task for any team. Rachin Ravindra also made century in this match because he was not prominent player in this match. Nathan Smith effort was great in this match because he took 6 wickets in the first inning of the match and in the second inning he took 2 more wickets in this match. Tickner was a person who took 6 wickets in this match and he took 1wicket in the first inning of the match and in the second inning he took 5 wickets in this match and he gave his full effort for the team to win this match. Tom Blundell made a match and they won this match without any hurdle.

Test game between NZ and Ireland was completed in just three days and NZ win this game very easily. As we know at the end of day two Ireland started the 2nd innings and NZ very smartly skip the second innings because they make four hundred plus runs in first innings and after that there bowling was so lethal that they lay down the Ireland batters early on and scores just one fifty plus runs and has a huge trail of three hundred plus runs here the game changing decision taken by NZ team and they skip there second innings so Ireland started the second innings and if they played well first they compete the trail of three hundred plus runs then they gives target and if they lost all wickets before trail then NZ wins the game and in both cases NZ has benefits. So with the start of day three Ireland starts the second innings and among the openers Stephen Doheny was so impressive and puts a remarkable half century and in middle order Lorcan Tucker was consistently played well for Ireland but the other batters don't stay longer on greace and Ireland lost all wickets before levels the trail

Ireland could not really attempt into making runs in two innings with New Zealand bowlers doing a wonderful job. Such an easy victory will boost whole team good deal before their huge and tough next series against England.
The outstanding batting of Tom Blundell and Rachin Ravindra was the key factor behind the success of New Zealand. The game was lost all over Ireland as their big partnership blew it away. Also, Dean Foxcroft played really well, but was unlucky to fall 2 runs short of his century. Bowlers such as Nathan Smith and Blair Tickner were highly controlled, and they claimed vital wickets in a fast manner, on the other side. If they are of the same energy and team spirit, team will definitely be able to give England a tough challenge in the subsequent games.

It was a four day Test match, never thought there was four day matches at the International level, as I thought they were exclusive fixtures for county cricket.
The New Zealand tour of England is coming up, it will be an interesting contest. Although I expect England to win the series, they have included three uncapped players, and I am eager to see who gets to make the debut.
