India is playing very fine so far, they needs to continue the momentum in the second innins too, means I think maybe India will go for declare their innings after scoring 200 or at max 250 but I think they need to target 350 once again since at this stage I think Shubman Gill needs to belive on their bowlers that they are able to take all 10 wickets, but let's see what strategy will Shubman Gill follow.
Indians have got a lead of 178 runs in first innings and still two days left in this test. A traget of 350 will be a safe and to give that target India need to score just 225 runs in second innings. Sri Lankans are not in a position to win this game but their is slight possibility to draw this match if India allow Sri Lanka to play 3 sessions. Meanwhile it was a good day for 25 years old Sonal Dinusha, who was able to score his maiden test century and that too at a time when his team needed someone to score runs.
Today Sri Lanka was bundled out in just 80 overs with 2 days remaining. I am expecting India will be given around 400 to 425 runs as a target and around 120 to 130 overs because they are having enough sources to bowl them out again on the last day of the test, so now it is all about the Indian team and how they will work out for their win in this first test at Galle.
Sinners did an impressive job. Manav Suthar and Ravindra Jadeja were in control after an early breakthrough from Mohammad Shami. Shami, the 6th wicket partnership gives some work to do for the Indians, but still they are having a good three days of this test match.
The weather is also going to play an important role because Galle always has rains, which already have enough lost time, and the last two days are also going to be problematic due to rains.
