You are underestimating the Australian bowling attack. 487 is a long way away which is why I am not expecting Pakistan to give them a lead. They will probably end up trailing them by a decent margin.

Lyon is the man to look out for in my opinion since he can rip apart lineups in a heartbeat.

Warner singlehandedly destroyed the Pakistani pacers. He was so destructive that the bowlers didn't knew what to do (including the experienced Shaheen Shah Afridi) to prevent Australia from building a massive total. The breakthrough finally came when Travis Head and David Warner got out in short intervals, both of them falling to Aamer Jamal. But that wasn't the end of torture for Pakistani bowlers. I am impressed with Khurram Shahzad, yesterday he bowled quite beautifully and he was the only disciplined guy in the Pakistani bowling lineup. Didn't watch his spell today so don't know how he reacted to the 2nd new ball.

Bowling in Australia is not an easy task for the subcontinent bowlers, most of the time bowlers from our part of the world get too excited with the bouncy wickets. Extra bounce and fast paced pitch give them the illusion of being fast (Similar to SENA spinners in India) so they try extra hard and in doing so they leak runs like a club cricketer, some do learn the art if they are given a long rope but for the new guys only time can tell. 

I've noticed this with Afridi, if batsmen start attacking him he goes into his shell and looks quite average and it happens in every format. Having said that today he bowled a good spell with the 2nd new ball but he's nowhere close to what he was 2 years back. Naseem is injured so no point talking about him but he could've been effective here because he take care of his line n length. Regarding Haris, i won't say much as i don't consider him a Test bowler.

In Pakistan there is no dearth of talent. But once some talented player lands in the national team, they don't know how to groom him. I will be very disappointed if Khurram Shahzad and Aamer Jamal ends up like Muhammad Hasnain. They change the format of their first-class competition every 2-3 years and as a result of that there is no stability. That maybe one of the reasons. And regarding their weakness in Australian pitches, I am surprised as many of these players are used to Australian conditions (they participate in the Big Bash League).

Well, i am not sure about this argument of "dearth of talent" anymore. It seems like more of a coping mechanism to me with a mix of nostalgia.

In my recent memory of the last 7-8 years I am yet to see their bench strength who are consistent enough to call -so called natural talent-. One time wonder for sure but in the long run I don't see anyone. One could call it a failure of management or whatever but it's fucked up situation and not a new phenomenon.

It will not be possible to give Pakistan a lead but if Pakistan can bat today i.e. the third day then even if there is no lead, the run can become 400. So if Australia bats on the fourth day, then if Pakistan bats on the fifth day, the match is likely to be a draw. Today, Pakistan must bat, otherwise Pakistan will have no chance of a draw in this Test. But Pakistan has already lost two wickets for 132 runs. Although it will be difficult for Pakistan to bat for the three sessions today, Pakistan will have to get through today to draw this Test match.

To say the least, I was shocked to see Pakistan play as they had already lost 6 wickets for 203 runs.None of the batsmen of the Pakistan team is batting well, most of them are seen getting out before scoring 10 runs.I was very optimistic about Babar Azam, I thought he might score a century against Australia but it didn't happen.I still have full doubts whether Pakistan will be able to score 300 runs because their trained batsmen are already out.

I don't see any other result apart from an Australian win which is good for me since I placed a prematch bet on them.
