Ben Stokes had his career best in today's match, he was dismissed for 182 runs. If he could have scored 18 runs, it would have been the first double century in the ODI format.

I really enjoyed Ben stokes significant innings, he has a class and that why he perform most of the time, I think his decision to comback to his national team after retirement is now benifiting them, I think England took his revenge of first match defeat and now they left thier opponents one step behind them, I think current moral of England indicate how danger they will be in ODI World Cup India, seriously they will be be a very difficult challenge for any team to face them. Now they are ahead from NewZeland 2-1 hope so NewZeland will comback if not then one more victory will turned the series to his name.

I usually look at the bookmaker's odds to further get the confluence of who has more chances of winning the matches. Pakistan with the odds of 1.5 is clearly the favorite for tomorrow's match. I personally will also be supporting Pakistan, because i would love to see the India Pakistan Asia Cup Final. This will no doubt be a big game if it happens.

I am agree with you paksitan has bunch of chances to dominate sirilankan and believe me it will really a big fun and joy to watch India vs Pakistan in Asia cup finals, but first we should focused on tomorrow match because it will be do or die match, sirilankan will not allow them easily to get the victory they will definitely create barrier for them to broke thier moral.

But once Stokes got out, they collapsed quickly. From a score of 348/5 after 44.3 overs, they ended up at 368 all out form 48.1 overs. Trent Boult and Ben Lister managed to get New Zealand to a somewhat respectable situation. But that didn't prevented England from winning the match by a margin of 181 runs.

England managed to create a big total. However, it's surprising that despite the massive target, there weren't any aggressive batters. New Zealand batters Convey, Letham, Young, and Nicholas playing at a slow cricket. It's World Cup year, but their batting lineup and bowling performance have been disappointing.

And losing 3 top order batsmen now their pressure has increased. They lost the wickets of 3 experienced top order batsmen to collect only 28 runs. The team collected only 30 runs in 8 overs, New Zealand must collect 339 runs in 42 overs. New Zealand would have been able to collect more than 300 if they had not lost wickets so quickly. But the way they started the innings.

New Zealand team is in big trouble lost his 6 wickets in 151 runs in 31 overs. They Needed 218 runs in 19 overs to win this match while chasing down the 369 runs. England is now commanding position and needs only 4 wickets to defeat New Zealand by a big margin. It also shows the extent of damage franchise T20 leagues are doing to international cricket. Trent Boult is a hot commodity across different leagues around the world. He is playing for New Zealand after a huge gap. And I am not sure whether he will play for them regularly after the ODI World Cup. If a team like New Zealand is facing this issue (losing players to franchise leagues), then you can imagine the condition of teams like West Indies, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The ICC need to come up with a mechanism that is acceptable for all the sides, so that international cricket doesn't get sidelined by leagues.
