Warm Up Matches

There are two warm up matches today.

1. India vs England
2. Australia vs Netherlands

In the First match both teams are good and don't say anything at this time. But India is more strong because they already won the series from Australia. So India has the chances to win.

In the second match Australia is strong as compare to Netherlands so I think Australia will win the match today.

Both matches will start after one hour.

Guess, you don't follow test cricket? Name one spinner who comes close to Ashwin in the red-ball cricket in the last decade. Nathon Lyon is the second best and compare his home-away records. Nathon's Home record and Ashwin's away record are almost the same and stark difference when you compare their home records. In fact, in the last 5-6 away tours Ashwin's numbers are getting a lot more juicer in Australia and England and he's even outbowling Nathon Lyon. Not even bringing Ashwin's batting numbers with 5 tons.

If we follow your argument then the likes of Bradman and Shane Warne also fall in the same category. The former never batted in Asia and the latter performed like a club cricketer in India.

Agreed. During the last decade, Ashwin managed to win countless matches for India. Anyway, we don't have a lot of world class spinners active right now. Gone are the days when there was fierce competition between Muthiah Muralidaran, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble, with Rangana Herath, Harbhajan Singh and Daniel Vettori in the fringes. Right now, Ashwin is the only one who can dominate a test match. Lyon is noway near him, IMO. He is far too incosistent and injury prone. Sri Lanka has some good spinners such as Theekshana and Hasaranga, but they still have a long way to go. 

Not just matches but he won plenty of test series for India with the ball and to some extent bat as well. There is a reason he has the second highest man of the series (10) after Muttiah Murlitharan (11) and the latter played almost 30-40 tests more.

I won't say Lyon is injury prone because he's the only bowler in history to play 100 test matches in a row without any break, he plays only one format so it helps. Theekshana just started his career, he's good but not sure if he'll play test cricket for long because franchise cricket is taking the lead and money is good. I'd be very happy if proven wrong tho because the kid has a talent. Hasaranga just wants to become white ball cricketer and as far as i can tell, he's not interested in test cricket.

Climate change with poor management from the BCCI is surely going to have big disappointment for the cricketing fans into this event because this was supposed to be held in November and December, but they have done few changes for their own sack, and now we are going to have big negative impact on this all event right now we have three matches called off due to rains and just two matches were able to completed and many more are going to have big disturbance due to rains which is surely not positive signal for the media rights holders as well.

Even nothing is sure about any team because right now we have six teams on same level with on game day which will be done good can go through for the top four, but I really love this format with all teams are going to face each other for having spot into last four.

Yes It's confirmed now match is under progress with 23 overs for each team at Thiruvananthapuram and after winning toss Australia is on bat we are having 4 overs 24 and lost of one wicket.

Alex Carey and Steven Smith both on crease for Australia, hopefully we will have some action from the both sides if rains allow for the completion of this match.

I don't think that Limiting the match to 23 overs will give an advantage to the Netherlands team and Netherlands will be able to beat Australia even in a 23 over match, because Australia is a very strong team compared to Netherlands. If seen in less overs, Australia's batting side is very strong which can beat Netherlands easily by making a big score.However, in cricket sometimes that happens, and a weak team can beat a well-rounded team.

Well, surprisingly Australia hasn't been able to freely score in the match till now and scored 114 runs in the 16th over with 4 wickets down. This score seems a bit on the low side considering this is a strong Australian side and the opposition is one the weakest teams (at least on the paper).
