The players of the Australian team did not perform well today, as there was a considerable time break due to rain, but the 23 overs were decided in the last overs. In terms of wickets, the Australian team was at a heavy loss, due to which they were not able to score more runs. But from this side the Netherlands team is an active side as they are likely to go if they can defend their wickets till the end. Netherlands team will be under a lot of pressure due to the strong bowling of Australia team.
But I can see that the players of the Netherlands team have less patience.
The fans of the Netherlands team never expected such a game as wickets fell at the start of the power play. Two of the batsmen were out for zero runs and their patience was very low. Max Odowd and Barresi, these two players left the Netherlands team under pressure. So far Netherlands team has collected 2 wickets 12 runs in 2 overs.

I don't think that Limiting the match to 23 overs will give an advantage to the Netherlands team and Netherlands will be able to beat Australia even in a 23 over match, because Australia is a very strong team compared to Netherlands. If seen in less overs, Australia's batting side is very strong which can beat Netherlands easily by making a big score.However, in cricket sometimes that happens, and a weak team can beat a well-rounded team.

One may win once due to luck, but due to performance your chances of winning are always higher. The match has started and Australia have scored 31 runs for the loss of one wicket in 5.2 overs. Steve Smith and Alex Carey are at the crease.

Well, surprisingly Australia hasn't been able to freely score in the match till now and scored 114 runs in the 16th over with 4 wickets down. This score seems a bit on the low side considering this is a strong Australian side and the opposition is one the weakest teams (at least on the paper). Steven Smith scored 55 runs is the highest among the Australian team.

I really didn't expect to see scores like Josh Inglis (0), Glenn Maxwell (5), Alex Carey (28) runs. If it was any strong opposition i would rekon they would have won against this Australian batting failure today.

Australia is struggling it's just because we have heavy rains and then match reduced to 23 overs which are still good for them to have some practice session which will help them in coming matches and if few batsmen are fail to score runs then it's not a big deal things could be well organized in coming matches and I have feeling they are able to score these runs still good from them in these conditions there main batsman done good job and have good score in these overcast conditions.

In chasing 167 right now we have all down for the Netherlands as they are having just 12 runs on board with 3 wickets gone, Mitchel Starc is doing all damage with his lethal bowling which is surely not easy to handle in these conditions.

I am sure if weather goes same than it will runied entire tournament like it does same in recent tournament Asia Cup, India vs England were important match for both of team to understand each other and pitch situation but all in vain later after that may be things goes in right path and we got to watch a complete joyful excited tournament.
Australia vs Netherlands were also effected by rain because the entire hundred over turn down to fifty over, which is not a good indication for a fan but there is nothing in our hand to challenge nature. Anyway Australian side  scored 166 in lose of 7 wickets which is quite surprising because they have strong agianst Netherlands weak bowling but still they lose huge number of wickets which mean we should not underestimate Netherlands bowling too. Hope Australia will recover and won this starting match

The batting of Netherland started but it will be very difficult for them to complete the target as the team of Australia is strong. In today's match Steven Smith scored 55 runs and Paul Van meekeren got 3 wickets.

Although Australia batted well at the start, the batting at the fall of wickets looked poor towards the end. Steven Smith batted very well in the match today and was dismissed for 55 off 42 balls. When you say that the match is reduced to 23 overs a side this gives a clear advantage to the underdog team, the Netherlands. It was almost impossible for the Netherlands team to compete with the Australian team for the whole 50 overs but now since the match is of only 23 overs. a bit of luck, some good short batting and bowling, and the Netherlands have some chances of winning this one, though otherwise in a 50 overs was impossible for them to win.

We should remember that Netherland and Afghanistan qualified after a good win their qualifications tournament while top team like West indies couldn't qualify. Both Afghanistan and Netherland not considered best team to win world cup. I am also agree but we should not forget that these could beat big team. Ireland beat two times England in the world cup as I remembered. Afghanistan has good record. Any team taking these team lightly could lose their point.

In these batting surface pitch only team with good batting and spin power will be successful like india has perfect squad. Newzealand batting also impressed me and could be a good competitor with England, India and Australia.

Australia is strong posting to win this match but Rain intercepted and match was washed out. Three out of 5 warm-up matches so far have been interrupted by rain in ICC World Cup 2023. First Sirlinka and Afghanistan match called off due to Rain, India vs England and Australia vs Netherland are also washed out due to Rain. I though ICC should move the World Cup to the United Emirates because it is rainy season in India. Entire World Cup should be washed out due to rain wrong time chosen for World Cup in India. I think world cup will be scheduled in November or December month. But i hope Rain will not interpreted futher matches of World Cup in India.

Notheland cannot win against India, South Africa and England But Australia most wins are against top class teams like India, England and Pakistan. Their bowling is on top whole the world. Their batting is also much much stronger than Netherland. If Australia scored 130 , there were no chances of Netherlands to win. Catches won matches. And Australian fielding is best. They can all out Netherland on 110 runs.Mitchell Starc is very good performer who performed well in  difficult situations and won match for his country. I am just getting frustrated by these rain-affected matches. Think for a moment that it was not a warm-up but a real match. Australia were 100% winning it and got the two points but the rain interruption let them get only one point. This could have a serious impact on the final top 4 teams to qualify for the finals.

The Afghanistan team is very strong, but only for the T20 format. Their performance in the ODI format has been very erratic. I don't expect much from this team in the World Cup as well. In the Asia Cup too, we saw a poor and erratic performance from Afghanistan. But the players of this team have the ability to play big innings.

It is unfortunate for Sri Lanka that Hasaranga is not in the squad. The group returned to the truck after a long period of poor performance. Sri Lanka has done well against Bangladesh and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka's spin attack in particular was excellent. But the performance of their batsmen is very erratic. If the performance of the batsmen is not consistent, it is not possible to do anything good in the World Cup.

If we compare the rest of the teams in the World Cup, the Afghanistan team does not stand a chance in this tournament.In front of strong teams like India, Australia, South Africa and England, such weak teams will have a hard time in the world cup.Afghanistan still lacks the experience and talent to do well in any tournament.

There was a time when the Sri Lankan team was considered among the best teams in the world. The best performance could be expected from him in the World Cup, and he was often included in the favorite teams,but now their team is considered among the weaker teams.their performance is no longer the same as before.

I think these two teams cannot be expected to perform better in the World Cup. Weaker teams can pull off a single-match upset in the World Cup, but they cannot be expected to perform consistently well in the World Cup, because in the World Cup, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will be pitted against the best teams in the world, who have It has the best bowlers and batsmen in the world.

Well, I understand that lifting the World Cup for both Afghanistan and Srilanka teams is out of the question but both of these teams are capable of doing the upsets and that too not just once but multiple times.

When any of the strong teams is playing a match against them, they will have in the back of their mind that these are not easy teams and they need to fight hard to get a win from them.

Also another thing is this world cup is taking place in India, and the Asian region pitches support the Afghanistan and Srilanka spinners, Rashid khan may have a big role in this World Cup.

I think more upsets can be expected from Sri Lankan team than Afghanistan. I don't think strong teams will have any problem playing against these two teams, because these two teams do not have any special performance, which can give a tough time to a strong team. Of course, Asian pitches always favor spin bowlers, and both of these teams have good spinners, but no team can compete against a strong team with spinners alone.

 To win a match against any strong team you have to perform well in all three areas of the match. Rashid Khan is a good player but no team gets much benefit from any one bowler or batsman in their team, rather good bowlers sometimes face a lot of trouble against good batsmen on Asian pitches.

The weather forecast schedule shown ahead of the ODI World Cup matches may not be realistic as there is no guarantee of the forecast due to natural calamities. This year's ODI World Cup is going to start with the match between New Zealand and England in Ahmedabad on October 5. Although the weather forecast on that date says it will be completely sunny but who can say if the weather will turn completely bad on that day.
