Sri Lankan played very well in 2nd ODI match against Zimbabwe. Sri Lankan International ODI cricket team played very in 1st ODI but match ended without any result due to rain but in second match they bent the the ti their side . Sri Lankan bowlers performed very well , especially theekshana who 4 wickets by giving 31 runs in 9.4 balls. Vandersay took 2 wickets and played vital role in win of Sri Lankan team match.Liyanage performance is outstanding and he made excellent 95 runs in 127 balls . I can't agree with your post. Sri Lanka really struggled yesterday. At one point they were 112/6, with another 97 runs needed for the win. But then the 7th wicket partnership between Janith Liyanage and Maheesh Theekshana took them home. Liyanage was playing in his second ODI and he showed tremendous patience under difficult conditions. Even after Theekshana got out, the other lower order batsmen (Dushmantha Chameera and Jeffrey Vandersay) managed to dig in and make sure that Sri Lanka wins this match.

Both of them are teams in decline, and the only difference is that Zimbabwe is a tier-2 full member nation which has been in decline for more than two decades, while Sri Lanka is a tier-1 nation whose decline started almost a decade back. This was a home series for Sri Lanka and despite that they were unable to win comfortably against a weak team like Zimbabwe. And the win was mostly due to the lower order batsmen who managed to score runs in crucial situation. Zimbabwe on the other hand can regret about the missed chances.

Most of people were about flavor of SL cause they are strong enough than Zimbabwe. It came to discussion when Zimbabwe couldn't help themselves qualifying in the next world cup. But the match was thrilling yesterday. Zimbabwe effort their best to reached 208 run where Craig Ervine did performance with 82 run. I think due to effort of this man, Zimbabwe was about to change the victory. Although they failed to defeat SL as SL was so much dedicative. Which was the reason SL able to bounce back even they lost too many wickets at 112-6. But they didn't lose the hope, especially Janith Liyanage did 95 and finally won the match.

I think Sri Lankan cricket team is still a very strong team and they still have enough ability to play in the World Cup. The performance of the Sri Lankan players may have been a bit poor in the second ODI match against Zimbabwe but they won the match.

Zimbabwe great fight in second odi match against Srilanka but unable to win this match beacuse of 7th wickets partnership took game away from Zimbabwe. A good stsrt by Zimbabwe Ngarava bowling good picked 5 wickets haul and Skindar raza also bowl well but the partnership and batting of Janith played very important role in Srilanka victory. Srilanka win credit goes to Janith Liyanage for his outstanding batting performance scored 95 runs also bowl 2 pvers but didn't picked any wicket and also earned the player of the match award for this brilliant match winning performance. In yesterday's match, Zimbabwe were all out for just 208 runs. 209 runs which was a very low target in ODI format. But Sri Lanka had to bat for 49 overs to win the target of 209 runs, in the end Sri Lanka won by just 2 wickets. Really commendable Zimbabwean bowlers in yesterday's match, they bowled brilliantly. Sri Lanka batting line up at home was not expected to be this bad. But all the Sri Lankan batsmen performed very poorly. None other than Janith Liyanage gave a good performance. I hope Zimbabwe will bounce back in 3rd ODi match against Srilanka. Zimbabwe won this second odi also if they played complete 50 overs amd in add 20 to 30 more runs in the total.  Zimbabwe played well Ryan Burl scored 30 runs in 37 balls and Joylord Gumbie also batting well but scored only 30 runs. But credit goes to Srilanka bowlers who bowled out Zimbabwe in just 208 runs especially Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera who picked 2 wickets by giving 44 runs and Jeffrey Vandersay also picked 2 wickets. Let see what happened in 3rd Odi and Srilanka is favourite to win this Series.

I don't think they has capability to bounce back against a top side like sirilankan, if we have a look at Zimbabwean team they have just few counted player that make a decent performance at most of the time like sikander and Thier captain ervine while rather than them none of thier are consistent and dependable. So that's things make them more under pressure and more weaker. Anyway due to rain interpretation they abounded the first match which was in my view easy victory for sirilankan while in today match Zimbabwean side show some decent performance but same just like explained single or Double player performance can't win the match for team, you has to play as a team in order to beat any strong side.

I agree that Zimbabwe is already down and out of the International cricket with living into tier-2 done good job against team like Sri Lanka which is also now having the worst time and things are looking for more downfall if they are not going to fix their issues in near future Liyanage done impressive job even he was playing into his second ODI when he was playing it is looking easy for them but after his wicket while they still have 39 runs this was some troubling time but poor quality and lack of experience hurt Zimbabwe with this defeat.

Here they need to be aggressive and better, but sadly things were not enough for them to win this game and bring themselves to the level now after having this win Sri Lanka is leading the series by 1–0 with first match was abandoned due to rain.

Zimbabwe batsman could not worked hard and struggle and could not make runs.This is the easy target for Sri Lanka batsman. yes you are right. While Sri Lanka were chasing 209 runs we have too many ups and downs with both teams wee struggling badly and lacking of quality and experience which hurt them but still Sri Lanka having good advantage as their newly debutant batsman Janith Liyanage keep his cool and not allow Zimbabwean bowlers to take full control, and he stands till good recovery but as he bowled out on 172 then we still have 37 and just 2 wickets but tail enders done good job and enjoy inexperienced bowling of Mohammad Faraz Akram who bowled 49th over and give 13 runs for the win of Sri Lanka which is now leading the series.

Richard Ngarava take 5 for 32 and captain Sikandar Raza lead from front with having 2 for 32 but all gone in vain as they were not able to bowled out last two wickets while they were doing good job throughout the match after having poor target of 209.

This series was started from some days and the first match of this series was also lost by  Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe, and at the second match of this series that played yesterday has also the same situation.

The Sri Lankan team won against Zimbabwe by 2 wickets, but in this series, we have seen many improvements by the Zimbabwe team, they did very well bowling,  they out a player in the first over, and we have seen they were playing like a professional team, and maybe after the next  few years, Zimbabwe team took the place of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka took the place of Zimbabwe.
