This series was started from some days and the first match of this series was also lost by  Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe, and at the second match of this series that played yesterday has also the same situation.

The Sri Lankan team won against Zimbabwe by 2 wickets, but in this series, we have seen many improvements by the Zimbabwe team, they did very well bowling,  they out a player in the first over, and we have seen they were playing like a professional team, and maybe after the next  few years, Zimbabwe team took the place of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka took the place of Zimbabwe.

The match between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka was finished yesterday and the result of this second one-day was a good result for Sri Lanka but not for Zimbabwe, because if Zimbabwe made at least 16 runs more so they have a chance to beat Sri Lanka if they made just 15 runs more but Zimbabwe team also played very well.

They fought until the last ball, but now at least, the Zimbabwe team was able to face Sri Lanka neck to neck, slowly their team becoming a good team. Let's see will they defeat Sri Lanka in the next match.

The team of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe had a series of some ODI matches and some T20s, and in the second ODI match, the Zimbabwe team wanted to bat first that's why when they won the toss so they decided to bat first, they gave the target of 208 runs while they lost all the wickets.

Then Sri Lankan team came to the batting and on this, it feels during the match like Zimbabwe can win this match because in the current performances of Zimbabwe seems the improvement in their bowling, so they took the 8 wickets of Sri Lankan but Sri Lankan team won the match because the target was low.

Zimbabwe definitely could have actually won the match easily if they had a little more depth in their batting lineup. Sri Lanka also made things a lot harder for themselves than it should have been. Sri Lanka must have been actually scared of losing. The 8th we get actually fell on 172 if I am not wrong. I was actually surprised to see Sri Lanka win the match from there. I thought that Sri Lanka might actually lose the last 2 weeks and Zimbabwe might actually win. But Sri Lanka and depth. Well, I don't know if I should say they have depth because, at the end of the day, Sri Lanka got saved by lower-order batsmen.

Yesterday was the second match of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, and this match was again won by Sri Lanka, of course, if they didn't win it so ICC would be right to ban their team.

The Sri Lankan team also struggled to win it, Zimbabwe gave the target under 220 runs, and the Sri Lankan team chased this target in the 49th over, they should have chased it under the 38th over. I agree if there are big teams like India, and Pakistan so it's good to chase the same target on the 49th over but there is Zimbabwe who were even not qualified for the World Cup.

This is how he was out.

Janith Liyanage, from Srilanka made 95 runs in 127 balls and he was declared the Man of the Match. Although earlier Craig Ervine, the captain of Zimbabwe made good 82 runs but this was neglected by Janith Liyanage who played a bigger and better innings.

Sri Lanka is a much stronger team compared to Zimbabwe. Even then, Sri Lanka could not bat well against Zimbabwe's bowlers. I expected more responsible batting from the Sri Lankan batsmen. The batsmen of the team faced a big problem to collect only 208 runs. They lost 8 wickets. Sri Lanka could not have won this match if the lower order batsmen did not bat well. The performance of the Sri Lankan top order batsmen was very poor. Sri Lanka is leading the series 1-0. Sri Lanka is expected to win the series by winning the last ODI match.

In the last over, the Zimbabwean team gave 13 runs to the bowlers, if the Zimbabwean team had given less runs in the last over, it would have been a competitive match. Since only Sri Lanka team won by two wickets, Zimbabwe team must have performed very well in terms of bowling. Richard Ngarava of the Zimbabwe team, he collected 5 wickets, contributing the most to the bowling performance of the Zimbabwe team. Given only 32 runs in 10 overs, if all the other bowlers could have performed well, Zimbabwe would have won the second ODI match.

Zimbabwe was very close to win in yesterday ODI, they weren't able to put good runs on the board batting first. Craig Ervine scored 82 runs and there is no other batsman that was able to score 50. The result of yesterday game would be in favor of Zimbabwe if the have scored 230 runs. Janith Liyanage was man of the match in yesterday's game for his match winning 95 runs.

In yesterday's match, Zimbabwe were all out for just 208 runs. 209 runs which was a very low target in ODI format. But Sri Lanka had to bat for 49 overs to win the target of 209 runs, in the end Sri Lanka won by just 2 wickets. Really commendable Zimbabwean bowlers in yesterday's match, they bowled brilliantly. Sri Lanka batting line up at home was not expected to be this bad. But all the Sri Lankan batsmen performed very poorly. None other than Janith Liyanage gave a good performance. Zimbabwe played really well yesterday.

Now with three formats keeping things at the top level is not easy for the many boards and Sri Lanka is also having finances issue and few other issues are also hurting them badly in last few years now it's time for ICC to act quickly and bring solid policy with keeping few teams for the just one or two formats surely going to help them in long run specially while teams will be able to perform good and having good results which also bring better finances and improve of quality as well.

Sri Lanka is also now having big decline in performance which need good look We need top six teams at the better level with others surely need to be in tier 2 and tier 3 which will bring healthy competition and improvement in quality as well but this all need good look and better supervision from the ICC as well if they are interested to bring better results in this game.

The final match of the South Africa U-19 Tri-Nation series will be held today. The final match will be between India U19 vs South Africa U19. India U19 team has performed well so far and played 4 matches and won 4 matches. On the other hand, South Africa U19 won only 1 match and Afghanistan U19 won only 1 match. Afghanistan U19 and South Africa U19 were tied on points. Both the teams had 2 points but South Africa Under 19 is leading in net run rate and getting the chance to play the final.

India U19 bowling performance is outstanding Aaradhya Shukla picked 4 important wicktes by giving just 43 runs and Saumy Pandey also picked 3 wickets. India U19 chase down the target easily 244 runs in just loss of 3 wickets in 41th over of the match. In this match Arshin Kulkarni batting so well scored 91 runs, just missed his well deserved century by 9 runs short. I think India U19 is good form and will win the series easily.

Furthermore their board needs to invest more in their player’s because I’m sure that this Srilankan team can improve and all they need is correct motivation and guidance.

It's not just that though. Their entire economy went to shit recently right after COVID thanks to the previous corrupt administration leading to a crazy rebellion which the whole world witnessed live.

This obviously affected their cricket squads too in a negative manner leading to their performance decreasing drastically across all formats recently.

Yes sri lankan players have done a lot in the world the standard of play is very good which i myself believe sri lanka is currently a bit weaker than india australia and south africa but their game name is still considered good enough.  And looking at their activities, it seems that they have the potential to do much better in the future. And for this reason, if Sri Lanka's match is not against India, South Africa or Australia, then I always support Sri Lanka
