The next game is going to be so interesting and very important for the team India cause India lost the last game, and even in the first game (that they won), they made a lot of mistakes in both of the games, which is why in the third match they need to prove them and lead the game with full confidence. From the England side, they just won the last game and since they played very well in T20 matches that's why they knew that they are good and all fine.

I think it is consistency, not confidence, that is greater problem for India. In the games that they have won there has been moments when batting line-up appeared to be under danger. Wicket by wicket loss has been repeated feature and that is what England will try to do once again. At the same time, England will have plenty of confidence from previous victory but they also know that "one game does not a decider make". Even if they do not have another middle order collapse in that game, I believe that they have enough skill to come back and make the final game a tough contest.

I am not even comparing the legacy of these players. For me, the benchmark was always Sachin, simply because I started watching him right from his debut. Newspapers and the radio were the only sources during that period, and we could only watch a few seconds of clips during the news .

I am not a fan of phasing out players. Only Sachin got a proper farewell match; neither Sunil Gavaskar nor Kapil Dev got a proper farewell match.

My point is that the BCCI needs to give Rohit Sharma some breathing room instead of putting him under intense pressure. Let him play without that weight; if he is still struggling down the line, he can choose to call it a day on his own terms.

No one goes voluntary, that's a problem in Indian cricket. Every freaking indian cricketer wants to extend his career and then we wonder why they don't they get farewell matches in front of their home crowd.

Atm we don't even know if news of dropping rohit is true, it's all speculation from some journalists ( PR basically)and their sources.

This was expected. BCCI know for a fact that Rohit and Kohli are brands who can still generate money for them which is why they aren't going to let profits just slip away. They will milk them both dry until they have nothing left to contribute basically.

MI thought they could get away with dropping him as captain easily and they paid the price for it over the long run. Win or Lose...they both deserve one final shot at the prestigious ODI WC trophy next year.

I'm telling you, there is a high chance of this being a PR campaign for Rohit to gain sympathy.

I could be wrong but the rumour was planted by one specific journalist, who's doing Rohit's PR for so long, including lots of dressing room leaks when Rohit was skipper. I'm sure not many remember but sarfaraz khan got in the trouble in Australia tour because of this very same journalist ( context dressing room leaks).

ENG players will have to play wisely and score runs with super performing. Bethell and Duckett have scored 17 runs each and if both of them play wisely and make nice partnerships then two players will be quite heavy for IND. These players will have to score more runs so that when their wrong shot is hit, there will be enough runs behind them which will make their aim look high for them. ENG players are very wise they will have to go with a very nice plan for IND here an incompetence on the field will be a big reason for them whether it is nice or bad for them. Many people have their eyes on this game and it will be played for a long time so it is super for every player to play well themselves than to catch their eye.

England got a really good start from the openers. Even though Jacob Bethell missed out on a well-deserved century, Ben Duckett is still at the crease with a wonderful century and they have plenty of wickets in hand. They need to score above 360 runs and take advantage of any opportunities from India to seal the series.

Without Jasprit Bumrah, they are just an average or below-average bowling unit, so I was not expecting anything special. If India want to dream about chasing the total, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli need to perform and reestablish their dominance.
