It won't be easy to chase 356 runs against bowling lineup of team like Australia but Zimbabwe still gave a decent fight. Such matches are good opportunity for teams like Zimbabwe to improve their cricket. It a three match series and Australia has already won the series with one more game to go. It will be a huge boost for Zimbabwe cricket to win the third ODI and avoid whitewash. Zimbabwe batting was very decent in two ODIs played so far, they need to improve their bowling to stop Australia from giving huge targets. 

The entire series was a one-sided affair for Zimbabwe, as there was no way they had an opportunity to defeat a team like Australia, even if they were playing in their own backyard. Australia was not touring with their best eleven, and yet it was more than enough to defeat a team like Zimbabwe. There is no way they could challenge a team like Australia in a ODI series and the best opportunity they have is when they face each other in the T20 series.

Well they lose while chasing such Gigantic total but honestly Zimbabwean batting order were genuinely looked solid throughout both ODIs, it's the bowling side whome were letting them down twice against mighty Aussies and thus they lose both by fair margin and I think that's the best outcome from their batting order as per their capacity against top class players, although they have home advantage but still isn't making much difference for them and I think as per team strength and the momentum Aussies have I do believe it's definitely gonna be a whitewash unless Zimbabwe bowling lineup surprised rest.

Did brilliantly when he started in test with ridiculous amount of luck on his side, luckiest player of modern cricket ( in terms of opposition giving him lifeline) but now seen to be going down, which is reflecting in test and odi both. He's lucky that Australia don't have new batters coming in test otherwise he would've dropped from their as well.

In today's match, Australia's batsman Travis Head batted brilliantly, he scored 112 runs from his bat, besides all the other batsmen also batted well. Australia batted in the first innings and scored 356 runs, losing wickets, giving Zimbabwe this huge target and Australia won the match. Zimbabwe tried hard to equalize the series in the match but they failed, instead they were all out for 272 runs, but anyway, Australia's batting and bowling performance in this match was very good. And in this match, Australia won their ODI series by winning the match brilliantly.

Zimbabwe is not yet a strong enough team to defeat Australia on this occasion because there were 2 matches before that in which Zimbabwe could have succeeded with hard work but they lost this match also due to their poor bowling. Zimbabwean batsmen tried hard to strengthen the target. If they had tried a little harder, Australia was at the end, which could have failed because in this match, Australian batsmen played poorly and lost 9 wickets due to negligence, due to which they played for 49 overs. If Zimbabwean batsmen had given a target of 300, they could have succeeded. This series did not go in Zimbabwe's favor in any way and Australia defeated them with a whitewash and became even stronger. If Zimbabwe bowlers had learned some mistakes and stopped the runs with hard work, they could have succeeded.

Unexpected but not surprising though, even a tailender can save the game with their batting for AUs, usually they do that a lot in Test but this time in ODI but against a weaker opponent. Zim played decent but not good enough to get over the line, just only saw the commentary on cricbuzz, might be interesting to see the highlights soon.

There is no doubt that the 271 runs scored by Zimbabwe put Australia under pressure  although such a target was not particularly daunting for a formidable team like Australia Zimbabwe bowling performance demonstrated that disciplined tight bowling can indeed trouble the opposition. It is a pity however that this level of performance was not seen from the very beginning had they played this way from the first match the outcome might have been different for them.Australia efforts in the final overs were also commendable had they missed just one or two more deliveries the match could have gone to a Super Over giving Zimbabwe a chance at winning.Ultimately however that did not happen Australia defeated Zimbabwe in the final match to complete a whitewash and further cemented their status as a powerhouse team.
