Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Profitable, as I researched if you count all expenses and have much free time to spend on threads like this:)

Actually, it is quite possible that Bitcoin will be replaced one day, but I am not sure it can be Ethereum. It has a strong ecosystem, but it also has problems with scalability which might be a critical issue.

The scalability issue shouldn't be any reason to worry, since Ethereum's developers are working hard towards improving transaction capacity for the ETH blockchain. It's been somewhat slow in development over the past years, but it has managed to deliver as promised. With the adoption of PoS and Sharding, Ethereum could become a true game changer in the entire crypto industry. In its current state, Ethereum is already faster and cheaper than Bitcoin. With smart contract functionality, its applications can be expanded to areas beyond finance. Despite this, it's becoming unlikely that ETH will replace Bitcoin anytime soon because it's way behind in market cap. The limitless supply of ETH doesn't help it achieve a higher price in any way.

In contrast, Bitcoin is finite by design having a greater possibility of increasing in price than Ethereum itself. With so many people using Bitcoin for daily transactions, it's becoming harder for Ethereum to outpace it every step of the way. Which is why, it's best for ETH to remain as is, to help complement Bitcoin for certain tasks that cannot be fulfilled. Diversity is great for the entire ecosystem as it will allow Blockchain technology to become better over time. Just my thoughts Grin

If this occurs that will be a revolution to the crypto market. Currently, Bitcoin is the no1 choice for every crypto user. Ethereum has to hit $10000+ to replace Bitcoin in terms of price. Which I assume really really touch for Ethereum and any different coin.

So, I don't deem this is going to happen but it's not impossible also. Ethreum has the so-called "Potential" but how this kind of potential would help to cross-over bitcoin, time will say. I think If any coin can replace bitcoin that will be a brand new coin that didn't appear in the market till now. Because we are seeing how altcoin is performing in the market.

Ethereum can surpass bitcoin in terms of market cap value, all depends on market participants. But I am pessimistic that this is because at the moment there are many new coins that continue to develop their products that can become strong competitors for ethereum. If that happens, it might take a very long time because until now, bitcoin has become a trusted cryptocurrency by investors

Ethereum replaces bitcoin very far, because I don't think that happens, bitcoin has been holding the crypto market from the past so ethereum is far behind, everyone also already knows where the No. 1 coin is in crypto,

It will never be possible. Ethereum will never be able to take this position. If that is possible, then you will have to use some of the most powerful technologies like Bitcoin. Ethereum is popular because of its low cost of transfer and withdrawal. Moreover, its use is very easy.

Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh
I agree with you. I'm a real investor, I'm not following trends because I find it very risky.
I haven't bought any bitcoins in the past 3 years. I only invest in large technology projects such as ICX, ETH, NANO (Railblocks), NEO.
I think these alts will really help the crypto community and technology sector in the future, it will thrive like businesses like Apple, Google, Facebook today.

If Ethereum replaced BTC one day - it will be a revolution and neathing will be like before. All crypto market will be red and BTC will fall again and again. But I am not thinking that it is real scenario.

Bitcoin is a coin that first appeared on the crypto market and won the hearts of investors and laid the foundation for the crypto market. Now this coin has the largest capitalization, which no one can exceed. Ethereum begins to become obsolete, it is defeated by new and more advanced competitors, which does not leave him the strength to compete with Bitcoin.

if bitcoin can be replaced by ethereum, ethereum users automatically or including one of us will surely turn to invest with them. in the crypto market industry anything can happen but we don't know exactly when, but I think if it happens it will have an impact on adoption, of course people will switch to profitable coins

if that happens, ETH will be the latest concern, but I think that the price won't be that high. however, that will be the new crypto face. I just imagine when that actually happens, there is a possibility that coins that have ETH platforms will reach a very high price.

it's just that, the current development of ETH will not replace bitcoin, even when ETH reaches its ATH, ETH can never replace position 1 of bitcoin in CMC.

i strongly agree with you, with the first crypto ever bitcoin that is becoming more and more obsolote, the next candidate to the top should be ethereum. Ethereum is much faster and got real world use so for me this is really a possible scenario.

I think almost all alts will rise in price and bitcoin will be the one to fall. And different altcoins with different purpose will be seen like when shopping online. But replacing Bitcoin will be hard to ethereum.
