I would assume that we are going to look at this and see that Barcelona is a great league team, but not a great tournament team because the same thing happened to them twice.

I would assume that the best thing to do right now would be making sure that they at least get the league, because otherwise it would be a horrible year, but good thing is that it looks like they are going to win the league. Blaming the referee is a ridiculous and unnecessary move. Barcelona should focus on La Liga where the chance to win a trophy is very close. Barcelona must make improvements especially their defense for a better season next year.

There is no point in blaming the referee. The match is over. Barcelona lost and Atletico Madrid qualified for the semi-finals. Barcelona must accept the result. And now their only job is to focus on la liga. Try to perform better in the next matches of la liga. Although barcelona is ahead of Madrid by a huge margin of 9 points. They have no chance of losing the title. They will easily win the title. Now they can try to increase the points gap.

Barcelona needs to strengthen their defense. Hansi flick should focus on this now. Barcelona has played badly  in several important matches against Atletico Madrid. They lost 2-0 in the home  match. They lost 4-0 in the copa del rey. Hansi flick needs to find the reason for this defeat.

Its definitely a Barcelona mistake. Means hansi Flick Technical mistake. why you are playing that much high line in the quarter final stage of the ucl I know there is some referee mistake as well but all the blame are hansi Flick.  I don't think so anyone can't agree there is no referee mistake in the match . Definitely it's has but the problem is Barcelona can't effort a center back which hansi Flick want to replace inago Martinez . If you can't effort a player for you team need to be technically strong you can't go further in the tournament like ucl.

Simeone will be happy to endup in the semi-finals of the ucl . But real madrid are now out from all the competition a trophy less season again but Simeone has two 2 trophy on their hand ucl & copa del rey probably they can't win the ucl at endup in the semi but copa del rey will be the one trophy they are favourite.  Barcelona are 9 points ahead of Real Madrid. The only hope of Madrid fan is ElClassico but it's not look realistic Barca can bottle the league in the ElClassico.

Barcelona has the league title practically won, but they still have to play. Mathematically, two results are still possible. We have to wait and see. Real Madrid is a different team. If there's one thing Real Madrid has always had, it's never giving up. Even if there are only two minutes left, they can tie and come back. That's why they're my team, because they never give up.

Although it is not possible to say anything right now, Bayern Munich will be the favorite to win today's match until the match starts. Bayern Munich's team is more stable and excellent than Real Madrid.

Barcelona is favorite to win the La Liga title, obviously Real Madrid may not have any title this season Barcelona is not showing any sign of weakness, so I’m giving full hope to win the La Liga title.

The both La Liga best teams are out of the Champions League, no fan base is as happy as Barcelona fans watching Real Madrid also getting dropped from the Champions League by Bayern Munich after their own loss to another La Liga team. In the end of the season Barcelona have something to show for, because my gut tells me they will win the league trophy. Real Madrid fans that claimed the champions league is their birth right now have no hope of wining any trophy this season. Barcelona biggest rival spent a lot of money in signing players last season. They got Arnold from Liverpool with a big fee. Madrid is preparing to go trophy less. The league is gradually coming to an end. As Madrid keep losing the game they have in hand, the more hopeful Barcelona fans are sure the league is coming home.

Atletico Madrid have dropped too many points in recent weeks, so finishing 3rd or 4th in the league won't change anything for them. Their only goal right now is to reach the Champions League final. They're already guaranteed to qualify for the Champions League next season, so they might not take the league matches too seriously.

There are still many matches to go, so it might not be accurate to say that Barcelona will definitely be champions. We've seen similar scenarios in other leagues; if they get injured and lose two matches in a row, then we'll start to see how much Real Madrid will be in the title race

This season is different than other seasons when Atletico Madrid or any club at the fourth position have to try very hard for securing their fourth position till the season ending. You can see that even Atletico Madrid dropped many points in the league recent weeks, they still have 11 points more than Real Betis which is at a fifth position. With this very big and safe difference against Real Betis, Atletico Madrid feel like they no longer have to spend too much energy for remaining matches while they are in quarter finals, and now semi finals in UEFA Champions League.

It's an easy choice for them to focus on Champions League as winning three more matches, they will win the trophy while their fourth position in La Liga won't be lost because with only 7 matches in La Liga, losing all 11-point advantage against Real Betis is very impossible.

What difference will the El classico make?. 9 points difference with 7 more matches to end the season is a lot of gap already. All Barcelona need is 4 wins in the remaining matches for the season and the trophy is theirs. In the champions league return leg I don't see the possibility of a comeback. They should just enjoy themselves while the prepare for next season.

It's safe to say that Real Madrid is trophyless again this season, as their only chance of winning a trophy lies in La Liga, a very slim opportunity considering they currently trail Barcelona by nine points. Perez will certainly make major changes next season, as he doesn't want Real Madrid to go trophyless for a third consecutive season.

Atlético Madrid on the other hand have a chance to bag two trophies this season. Will Diego Simeone finally make history at Atlético Madrid?

This season become a great opportunity for Diego Simeone to win two trophies, especially the Champions League for the first time. Since taking over as manager, Diego Simeone has led Atlético Madrid to two Champions League finals, but losing to Real Madrid. Now, Atlético Madrid are in the semifinals and will face Arsenal. So, Atlético Madrid are just one step away from reaching the Champions League final and winning the title for the first time in the club's history.

Yeah obviously Hansi Flick has been great for us, four titles already in just two years is no small accomplishment and utilising young talents and a veteran striker, it’s only in the champions league they keep messing it up and this year Atletico Madrid is their Achilles heel denying them from two trophies.
Flick has to improve the defensive play and orientation of his defenders cos twice same mistake is not really good for a team like Barcelona and hopefully find a way to get a new hot striker that’ll help a lot.

Barring any major setbacks, Barcelona will almost certainly win the La Liga trophy this season. Both teams have lost their chances in the Champions League. Real Madrid are not in great shape but they should finish the season well and contribute in the next few matches to stay in second place. Real Madrid will be in a bit of a slump as they failed to live up to the fans' expectations. They were eliminated from the Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich in two legs.

The gap with Barcelona is still 9 points, which will not be easy to overcome and it will not be easy for Real Madrid to bounce back from a bad form to a good one because they have not lived up to the expectations they had as a traditional team.

Real Madrid began to pick form near the end of season, still lacking consistency, they can try again next season.
I think Real Madrid's chances of winning the championship this season are almost gone. They dropped points against very easy teams. We all remember the point they lost against Mallorca. They lost three points against them and fell far behind Barcelona. Finally, Girona took points from them, and Barcelona are now, according to unofficial results, the Spanish league champions. They only need a few more matches to mathematically secure it.

they absolutely deserve to win the championship, no one has been able to keep up with this team like them and they also managed to recover the match, i really don't understand how they managed to make a mistake in the first leg which was practically the easiest part, but that's how it happened, they will make up for it in the championship.

Does anyone know why Round 33 games are played earlier than Round 32 ones this week? I mean all the games... I don't remember whether I have seen such an example before.

Barcelona were the favorite but Atletico Madrid at a point were very much deserving of the win. Barcelona did their best but this was not one of their lucky times, I am hoping Atletico will be able to get to the finals, because whichever team they play against between Arsenal and sporting which is very likely to Arsenal, will not make it any easy for them and winning will have to come with much required work.

everyone says that they were favorites but i don't think that at this point they were truly the favourites, Atletico Madrid have shown everyone that they are truly one of the strongest teams in Europe and they must carry the flag high, even when they challenge a great team among the many that will come their way.

I don't know why people look down on ATM so much like Barca is the only one worthy of going to the UCL semi-finals... I know that Barca has a better squad but that doesn't mean that ATM doesn't deserve to go through, even in the second leg yesterday ATM was still able to put pressure on Barca even though they were still a little behind, but ATM was still able to keep up with Barca and they deserved to get a ticket to go on to the UCL semi-finals. Barca, on the other hand, can test their luck next season, there is still a chance for them.

I think it’s good that Real Madrid is going trophyless this season, it will provide an avenue for them to invest in the squad, and play a proper football, they don’t have to win a trophy every season, not all club wins a trophy all season, I’m happy they have gone trophyless, after sacking Alonso unjustly because Alonso is supposed to keep being the manager of Real Madrid but he was sacked because of the bad attitude of Vini Jr so right now have Vini Jr been able to win a trophy for the Galaticos now ?, they choosed Vini Jr ahead of a Manager that could’ve won a Champions League or a La Liga for them, but right now they still find themselves in this terrible situation, of a trophyless season I think that is what Real Madrid deserves, unfortunately for them Barcelona will be winning the La Liga Title.

Barcelona will surely win the La Liga title because they don’t have anyone competing with them anymore, now that they are off the champions league titles they will concentrate more on the La Liga, and surely they will win it because they are already giving Real Madrid a very long point gap and they will maintain consistency to the end of the season and it is not a bad season for them if they end it with two trophies, they have done very well. I never expected them to lift the Champions League title because they have some players that are not really inform they need to buy some players, but because of their lack of finance, it will be impossible for them to buy world class players that are needed to lift the champions league title if they don’t sign world class striker and some defenders, they will not lift the champions league title next season.

That is true, in fact that was true even when they were at UCL, there were no teams fighting them for it, Real  Madrid basically gave up the league in the last two games and at this point it would require a huge miracle for Barcelona to lose the league.

But that's the problem, they knew that they will win La Liga even before losing at UCL, and now they still know it but there are no more UCL games, which is sad for them, they would have desired to go further and they failed to do that unfortunately.

With Barcelona and Madrid already eliminated from the Champions League, Atletico Madrid is now the sole Spanish representative left in the competition. I wouldn’t pin too many hopes on Simeone, given that his team is no stranger to being knocked out in the semifinals. Arsenal may be determined to reach the final, but if I had to choose, I’d rather see Atletico Madrid in the final.
Anyway, whoever qualifies for the final, Atletico Madrid or Arsenal, this will still be an unfair final because their opponents, Bayern Munich or PSG are stronger.
