Current of 9 matches in La Liga Girona have faced Real Madrid, Sociedad and Sevilla as top La Liga teams with success achievement except have defeated by Real Madrid. For several upcoming matches later seems not bigger opponent teams for Girona and they will comfortable for securing second position standings behind 1 point left from Barcelona who have crucial match against Real Madrid few weeks later.
I believe with Girona consistency in this season and will finish on top fourth standings position of half season.

As I said before, Girona are still quite good statistically but they are not fully believed to be able to compete in the top four throughout this season. The consistency of a team's performance will be greatly disrupted when one or several important players are injured, and usually their performance will decline and it will be difficult to return to normal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Girona could experience consecutive defeats before the first half of this season is over, but so far their performance is still very good with only 1 defeat and 1 draw. Girona could be in the top four for a long time, but they will have to fight hard to continue to maintain their form. This is the most difficult challenge even for Barcelona and Real Madrid, not only Girona.

I agree that Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two teams that will fight for the title. Barcelona is the favorite on my side, but I wouldn't feel insulted if Real Madrid did it. Both teams will compete closely until the end of the season, but regarding Girona, they will try their best to win tickets to Europe next season.

Girona haven't met many strong teams this season except Real Madrid, so it feels like they won't be able to stay in their current position even though their players have good self-confidence at the moment. There are 9 very challenging matches for Girona heading into the new year, so I'm really curious whether they will be able to play at the highest level they are currently at or maybe it will drop to the top 6.

Don't forget that Sevilla won last season's Europa League title with this squad. So I can't accept that their squad is weak. The squad is strong enough. But Sevilla should be looking to strengthen their squad after last season's Europa League champions. But now the Sevilla team is not in a good financial  condition. So they failed to strengthen their squad. However, the squad that Sevilla still have is quite strong. At least not Sevilla's squad, which is weak enough to finish 14th in the table. If  not for the tactical weakness, this team could have easily finished in the top 8 of the table.

Last season Sevilla finished 12th place in the Laliga table but managed to win the Europa League trophy and secure a spot in the Champions league, but this season there performance is not very consistent and poor as well and if not for the financial crisis they're facing that caused them to put some of their key players up for sell, I believe they would had done better than they're doing currently and would probably be close or in  the top 4  currently.
 
 Currently on the standings Sevilla are in the 14th position and could drop points after the international break cause they'll be playing against one of the biggest and best performing side Realmadrid, and I don't think they could stand a chance against Madrid, well I'm not going to underestimate them cause alot of their players could be resting during the break and would come back looking fit, however they're playing at home, the best they could do to win the game is score one or 2 goals  and park the bus like Granada did against Barcelona in the previous match before the break.
