The three postponed matches in La Liga were completed well by Madrid, Barcelona and Ateltico

Real Madrid is back on the top seat, it doesn't look like they make any mistakes. This time they managed to score in first half and don't let any comeback to happen. They finished with clean sheet which is important. Now their winning streak is 6 matches. Joselu couldn't score for a long time but he broke his bad luck and scored for the first time in the league since October 7th.
Barca and Atletico also won but the point difference is still 10 so their chances are pretty low unless Real Madrid lose points. I don't think they believe this gap to close as well. Real play superior to other teams and even if they play bad they still somehow win games.

of course, how can madrid be comfortable with girona being at the top of the standings until the middle of this season, but with this win against getafe, madrid is 2 points ahead to 57 points over girona so they are officially at the top now.

madrid is a tough team, girona will find it difficult to return to the top of the standings, girona has little hope of that but being in the runner up position until the end of the season, girona will definitely have it.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all had matches against lower teams and they all had the 3 points.. The goal difference is just 1 to show how competitive these matches are except Real Madrid where they scored two goals to 0 and killed the game literally.

Girona should win next game against Real Sociedad and wait for Real Madrid to drop points against Atletico Madrid to claim the first spot eventually.

Madrid vs Getafe, Madrid managed to secure full points and complete its mission to return to the top of the standings, overtaking Girona and creating a 2 point difference with them. Joselu became the man of the match, scoring 2 goals for Madrid victory.

Barcelona vs Osasuna, in the midst of the setbacks they experienced, Xavi troops managed to achieve a narrow victory, an additional 3 points made them safe in the top four of the standings. Vitor Roque was the hero of the victory, he should have been given more playing minutes.

Atletico vs Rayo Vallecano, had the same fate as the other two La Liga giants, Diego Simeone troops also managed to win over their opponents tonight with a final score of 2-1. Depay and Mandava were the actors in the victory, Atletico managed to secure third place in the standings from Barcelona.

Now Joselu knows what it means to play for the best attacking club in the world. Real Madrid really had to rely on his goals to see them win this game tonight. He hasn't been much of whatever we expected of him this season since he joined Real Madrid. Jude Bellingham has helped converted the goals he should have. Good game for him tonight, I hope the goals scored tonight unlock more goals for him to be scored in the future.
The next game to be played would be between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. We all know how many times they've been beaten by them neighbors. Are we seeing another defeat soon?!

Barcelona travels to Alaves and hopefully they'll try to win that game. Games on the road anf at home haven't gone well for them.

I also expect Real to win +2 goals (since I predicted their victory 3-0), but I can’t say that they will strain too much to achieve this score. Yes, the bookmakers turned out to be right (and I wasn’t, damn how many predictions for Real’s 3-0 victory I’ve already burned), but I wouldn’t say that it was logical - Real missed too many scoring opportunities for the 2-0 score to be considered “fair”. I’ll have to look at the expected goals statistics in this game later, I’m sure it’s more than 3.
Joselu scored a double, now he has 7 goals in La Liga, very good, I remember how he complained in an interview that he was suffering greatly from the fact that he could not be as effective as he should be in Real Madrid. I hope this gives him confidence.

I don’t think that will be possible, even though we know that Girona might win their next match against Real Sociedad. I don’t think they will have the point to come back to the top of the table because their last meeting with Real Sociedad ended in a 1-1 draw, and everyone knows that Real Sociedad is also trying their best.

So to me, I think it will be very hard for Girona to come back to the top of the table. And their match against Real Sociedad might even end in a draw also, which we know that Real Madrid still have a game to play against Atletico Madrid, and I don’t think Atletico Madrid can win Real Madrid, so thinking about Girona at the top of the table is something that will be hard to happen.

After watching Joselu play today, I can say he did alright even though he is very dramatic at falls on every touch from opposition players but he did get the goals which were the only things that separated Madrid from Getafe tonight. I have only seen Joselu play a few times amd on those occasions, his performance were quite alright. I have zero complaints. But for the striker position, he is a much better option compared to Rodygo imo.

Also, I'm looking forward to that Real Madrid vs Girona game on 10th February — it would fun to watch because whoever wins might end up winning the La liga title, who knows.

Real Madrid is still the strongest team in La Liga, maybe a decade ago we could talk about how Barcelona was better, and maybe last year Real had a bad year which was shocking considering they dominated the whole world of football a year before that, but at the end of the day we are talking about a team that is going to end up with a good result one way or another eventually and they always do end up at the top.

I think it's clear that people are making mistakes when they do not give enough attention to Real, and betting on them to win is a great way to make money, no matter who they play against, they end up winning. Odds are usually not attractive and the return is small, but it's fine to bet on them and get a little bit of profit anyway.

Real Madrid chances this season to win the trophy are quite big because they are only competing with Girona and I'm sure Girona will not be able to create fatal difficulties for Real Madrid. Today victory makes Real Madrid take over the leadership of the standings again where Real Madrid is already 2 points ahead of Girona. Slowly, I think Real Madrid will be able to widen the points gap with Girona. With the strength of the team being so perfectly integrated this season, Real Madrid will of course be the team at the forefront to win the title.

The problem for Girona is simply the experience of Real Madrid, it would be so hard for Girona to defat Madrid in a two horse title race, it will be something unbelievable if it happens, this is why i believe there is a high chance that Girona may finish 2nd on the table.

It is of course not impossible for Atletico Madrid to close that gap and take Girona's position soon, but I think it is not likely. No doubt that if real madrid was showing an excellent performance at this moment. It's caused by the club has been rebuilding by ancellotti again since last season but real madrid is just finding the best performance this time. Im very happy to see madrid to get an easy game against getafe. It was also making the situation far better for the club.
Madrid was getting ez win against getafe and its defenders were doing so well in this match. I think that joselu is worthy enough to become a permanent transfer for real madrid and im valuing him as a good player to play as winger or centre striker.

The club is just performing even better and consistent right now unlike barcelona which has been facing a bunch of problems that makes the performance from the club even worst. It was always struggling against the small club and i think barcelona had no chance to defend its trophy this season.
Glad to see that joselu is starting to see if he will be worthy enough to be on real madrid. I hope ancellotti will consider making him as a permanent player in real madrid. he was not young anymore but he is still having good spirit and performance for real madrid.

He has been scoring for madrid against getafe which is very good. I think that he deserves a spot in the main squad even though sometimes he seems being abandoned.
