As some powerplay is still to come and a second goal would decide it quickly. Atletico try, but they cant get through, i thinkit will be a win for Real Madrid today.

Girona are slowly throwing away their chance of winning the league, they have drawn two games in their last five matches, and even if that is not a bad result for a club of their standard, it is bad when you are in a title race with a club that is as big as real madrid. Real madrid are leading Atletico madrid 1-0 right now, and i think it could finish like that, a win would put madrid 4 points above Girona, and it makes their dream very difficult to be achieved, however even if they don't win the league and they qualify for the champions league next season, it is a big achievement for a 'small' club like Girona.

Real Madrid seems more dominating the match and control it very well. They are offensive enough. But so far, only 1 goal is created between the two. Well, both are trying their best in this match, both also have strong defense so that it is not easy to make and shot on target successfully.
With this  kind of situation, I think that Real Madrid will be still leading and able to win this match if they don't make any mistake. After all, the match was very tight and Atletico Madrid also put up a strong opponent so far.

The formation of the defence line looked good to me, but they had to allow Atletico Madrid to break through and score an equalizer. If the reports of Vinicius Jr picking up an injury in their game today against Atletico Madrid is true, I hope it doesn't become an injury that'll keep him sidelined for a long period of time because it'll definitely affect the performance of Real Madrid in the remaining games of the season including in the UEFA Champions League competition. As I said previously in yesterday's post, there are two crucial matches that we will watch this week. in yesterday's match, Girona vs Real Sociedad. In the first meeting between these two teams, the match ended in a draw. and when Girona hosted Real Sociedad, Michel's team was unable to bring their team to win the match at their own home. in the end, the match ended with a score of 0-0.

Likewise as I said for the Madrid derby match. this match is crucial for both teams, especially for Real Madrid. because, in the first meeting Madrid weighed against Atletico with a score of 3-1.all goals scored were through headers. Atletico Madrid is a really troublesome team this year, especially they caused Real Madrid a lot of problems before the season ended. It's not too bad for Real Madrid to get a point from the in-form Atletico Madrid in a week where Girona drew, but it's not that bad. Injuries have always been a problem, that's true.
