I agree with you. I'm especially thinking about the busy schedule players have. Only after a few days they return from national duty, they are going to play for their teams. Some of them will be really exhausted and some will have small injuries. Managers might not have the efficiency they hope from them because of them. I would refrain from especially betting on games played between smaller teams just like you said.  

When it comes to the games next week, Real Sociedad - Real Madrid and Girona - Barcelona games draw my attention. I think it is revenge time for Barcelona    For Real Madrid, I wouldn't place a bet on them.

I know this whole situation at Madrid is enough to breed doubts about their productivity this season but let's not be quick to forget that they have a way of bouncing back, I trust ancelotti to always have his ways around situations as this as this isn't the first right he is having to handle something as this, last season he had similar case of multiple injuries at the beginning of the season yet he was able to maintain a good results where he suffered only but one loss in the domestic league and won the champions League along side thw domestic league title after recovery.
