Barcelona and Madrid still have great chances. But the current condition of Barcelona is more lucky. They have 1 postponed match. If they win then the difference is 3 points with Madrid. In a long match there are always difficult predictions. There is always a surprise defeat, a draw on a big team. This has also happened to Madrid in recent matches. I understand they have problems with players. It's very different to Barcelona, they're getting better. So I have 2 favorite teams to win between Real Madrid and Barcelona. For Atletico I don't see having a big chance.

Looking at the current standings even though Barcelona won the postponed match and got a 3-point advantage, I think it is still not enough to establish Barcelona as a contender for the La Liga title this season. I am not underestimating Barcelona but I am worried that they are inconsistent and could lose surprisingly to the underdog team. Right now I think Real Madrid still has the biggest chance to become the La Liga champion followed by Barcelona in second favorite and Atletico Madrid in third favorite. Real Madrid has a champion mentality that no other team has. Therefore in the current position I see Real Madrid will win La Liga again this season.

The points are still very close, and as long as the points gap can change their position in just one match, then it will remain a tight competition until the end of the season. However, apart from the advantage of still having a postponed match, Barcelona is also lucky because they have better goal productivity than Real Madrid, so that is capital for them if in the end they have to have the same points and they have to compete who is more productive in creating goals. Honestly, so far I still can't say anything, only that Barcelona is definitely one step ahead of Real Madrid.

Although the financial limitations they have do not make them look weak, they actually show their motivation to play better. I just imagine how good they would be and perform when all financial crisis has been resolved and they not facing any setback in finances anymore, they will be another superb team showing the best performance yet again in the La Liga and also in the champions league. Getting a step closer to the trophy is a good achievement for them so far this season, hopefully they can win one by end of the season.

I don't think Barcelona  is only targeting La Liga. I see barcelona giving the same  effort in every match of La Liga, Copa DelRey and champions league. Hansi Flick is interested in winning all three titles. Flick's target is not just securing La Liga.

The financial situation of Barcelona is actually one factor I think have disturbed them so much this season but their ability to manage the situation and still remain strong is something I commend the team for. There are some teams that will be in such situation and by now they would have been battling relegation but that was not what we saw in Barcelona. This makes me think that without the financial crises, Barcelona would have been far ahead of others in points. I still feel they will be able to win the La Liga title this season if they continue playing as they are doing.

Hansi Flick made some massive improvements on defense, he realized that the defensive line itself isn't good enough, and if they just parked the bus they would lose, so even in games where a tie is enough, they still play counter attacking at worst case, because they just prefer to make that a unison work that would allow them a chance.

Whatever it is that makes them so much better, it is not really what the yare after, what they want is to shadow the problems at defense until they get the title. After they do, and maybe open up some financials, they could get some defenders which could help the team immensely for the future.

Bet on Atlético? They are total losers, I am biased (especially after they lost 2-4 having a 2 goal advantage), but it seems obvious to me that there will be no comeback here.

Atletico Madrid lost key points which cost them a lot this season, and with four points separating them from the league table, they did not seem to be a title candidate anymore. They lost to Leganes, who are at the bottom of the league, and the previous two weeks were against Getafe after Arambarri scored a brace in 6 minutes to help Getafe fight back. Even though one of Atletico Madrid's players was sent off, they still had the power to defeat Getafe, especially when they were leading by one goal.

I thought the game against Barcelona would be an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to bounce back from their Champions League defeat, but they were unable to maintain the advantage and conceded four goals in the second half after 2 goals lead. Atletico Madrid had three consecutive losses, losing two league games and being eliminated from the Champions League; they may recover this season, but they have lost their opportunity to compete in the league.

Considering they are still third place, if they could finish at third place that wouldn't be too terrible for them. They are not paying Simeone 30 million a year so he could be the champion, if he can that would be lovely but he can't do that all the time, once ever 5-6 years is more than enough for them and that is what they are getting. If they could somehow make the team third or better every single year consistently, that would be more than enough.

Simeone managed this team for longer than anyone else currently managing teams I remember, and he has managed to make the team "mostly" third or better, and consistency is the key, if they keep being like this, they are growing and becoming a third piece to two biggest clubs in the league.

But to be honest, this season I personally seem to have forgotten that Barcelona is having the same financial problems as previous seasons. Maybe this has been distracted by how good Barcelona's performance is this season, which makes us forget that this team is actually struggling with their own club's financial problems which have not yet recovered properly. Of course having great attacking line wouldn’t have been enough but having a good defense that matches the performance and balance things up is really what have made them to be at their best this season. I would say kudos to Hansi Flick for how he has transformed Barcelona, no one ever thought with all the financial crisis at the club he was still able to make them a title contender not just contender but the favorites to win the title.

Their current football pattern is really not bad and it is effective but i don’t think this style of play will last long, i won’t be surprised if I see them drop in performance next season.

Don't underestimate any team if the points gap is still quite small because sometimes when someone is too optimistic like this, they forget the match where Barcelona lost five times this season and even that is still more than Real Madrid's four defeats so far. So I want to ask you, did you not watch the match when Barcelona was defeated by Leganes and Atletico Madrid in December last year (2024)? which match also took place at Barcelona's home ground because that match was also counted towards this season for Barcelona.

Lets keep it down through, the game has been rescheduled to Thursday 27th March, so it isn't far again infact that's a week from today. Even if Osasuna still manages to beat Barca, they are still ahead and don't forget, that was the same way Atletico Madrid beat Barcelona 2 -1 in the first leg. Just last week, we saw how Atletico Madrid were already winning 2 - 0 and with few minutes left to 90 minutes, they conceded 4 goals at a stretch. That should tell you that this team isn't actually joking, them seem to want it all this time around. Real Madrid on the other hand is inconsistent in the league and definitely can't be trusted.
But either ways, if any of them wins it, it's still ok but I think I trust Barcelona more.

Yes Barcelona should have the best odds to win this league this season with everything surrounding Real Madrid, but for I think the odd difference is definitely too much it should be way closer than this because to me Real Madrid still have like 35 odds to win this league considering how both of the two contenders have been on top before and how they dropped down one can see that there is lot of opportunities left for Real Madrid to still still the league. Although personally i will acknowledge the resilience of the Hansi Flick boys since the start of the year, for me it is what’s needed till the end of season.

As for dropping of points my first point was actually that game against Atletico Madrid, should they have dropped points it will have open the league up for even Atletico Madrid to challenge. Right now the suspended game against Osasuna is one game that can actually make Barcelona to drop points before the el Classico Whig should be a must win for Real Madrid. Osasuna already won against Barcelona this season so there is nothing wrong in seeing them pulling it off again
