Those two teams have already met twice this season and the outcome wasn't encouraging for a particular team. Real Madrid fell twice heavily at the hands of their bitter rivals. The score line was humiliating to be frank. After the league game at the Bernebeu, I was thinking maybe the lose was a mistake from the part of Real Madrid because of the high line football played by the Barcelona team. With Barcelona's current form I don't see them dominating and winning the treble easily. They currently have the same points as Real Madrid in La Liga. UCL is currently entering the quarter-final phase and there are many strong teams there. Real Madrid is the king of the Champions League and they are the first favorite. They will face Atletico Madrid in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. Atletico Madrid is a tough challenge for Barcelona. And if they qualify for the final they will face Real Madrid. The unique fact is, Barcelona and Real Madrid are two teams that have the opportunity to win the treble this season. Both teams are competing in La Liga, UCL and Cope del Rey to get the treble.  

Barcelona have many competitions to attend to which means that they may not have the energy to win the treble since they don't have enough reserved players who can assist their major players when they are exhausted. Before Barcelona can win the treble will be after they have equipped the squad with quality players but at least if they can manage to win two out of the three trophies it will be a very good achievement for them this season. The competition in the La Liga is much will means that they may fall out of the top position but let's just be hopeful that since they got back to the top after they were overtaken by Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, they will remain consistent and not lose out again but it will really be challenging for them since they will also have to attend to the Champions League games. The Copa Del Ray is also tensed for them because even if they escape Atletico Madrid, they may not escape Real Madrid in the finals. Real Madrid and Barcelona almost have same fate since both teams are involved in the three competitions and are doing very well.
