What's with the Atletico game today. In terms of the quality of the team they are very underdog, The previous performance was also quite good but for now they continue to be pressured by Cadiz's attack which makes me not too sure they will win.
In terms of chances they lost, in terms of ball possession they lost and even they often made their own mistakes in this match.
If this continues, most likely they will only get a draw even the worst possibility is defeat

I don't know if you have been following La Liga (like even watching the matches) but if you haven't been the truth is Atlético Madrid have been very inconsistent this season. They show up in one match, and then they are completely out classed on the next one.

I know about their form this season is very bad but this is more than imagined. Losing in terms of chances and possession of the ball from a team that is in the relegation zone is really a bad thing. Even though they performed with their best squad.
La Liga title last season is very hard to believe if you look at the performance this season. Luckily they can win in this match

Atletico Madrid 1 - 0 Cadiz

At 3 minutes, Atletico scored a goal and I expected them to be able to have more possession of the ball and have total control of the game and score a lot of goals, but in practice it's not what I expected, Cadiz has more possession of the ball, me it seems that in this game cadiz will end up with more possession of the ball but with defeat, maybe they will be able to score 1 goal

It's now 1-1 at half-time. Atlético Madrid almost had a player sent off. Thanks to VAR intervention the previous red card was rescinded, and he was given a yellow card 
Cadiz have been resilient with a 62% possession in the first half, and it's one of the matches where I feel Atlético might drop at least two more points.

Beautiful play from Cadiz. They really dominated the ball having most of the ball possession in the first and making 11 shots but only two were on target.
Even though, Joao Felix opened the score line early in the 3rd minute, Alvaro leveled it in the 45th minute and that was the most action they saw at the back of the net of atletico.
 Diego should be proud of his men for being able to secure three much needed points though getting a red card which VAR could not intervene for any longer, still it was a fun and interesting game. They need to maintain a good form if they desire to finish at the top.

I was expecting Atletico to win this game easily, but the resistance shown from a team facing relegation stunned me and it shows that Atletico have dropped their high standards. Lastly while they escaped with the three points, I feel that Diego should ask the hard questions as to why Atletico struggled against a team that’s in the relegation zone, and not be happy to just get those 3 points.

It is quite some time ago that Atletico won games easily, isn't it? They concede so many goals. The last time that Atletico conceded more than 30 goals was, guess what, during the season in 2012/2013. It was always their strength to win games with just one goal difference, but that's not the case anymore. They already conceded 36 goals with 10 games to go. That is very unusual for them.

The next match for Barcelona this week is against Ossasuna and this is Barcelona's 27th match of the season. I hope the win is a sweet ending to tomorrow's match after being held to a draw by Galatasaray earlier.

I have to be optimistic that Xavi can bring his team to full points when they host Ossasuna. A change of strategy by playing Gonzalez from the first half in midfield is no longer what I expected for tomorrow's match. De Jong, Pedri and Buequest seem like a good pair to fill in the midfield position but I still hope Aubameyang is included in the main lineup in that match. He looked good to be expected to score, but I really wanted to see how Adama can do that too the first time around.

Elche took the lead from Granada with an 11th minute goal from Fidel. There is no significant difference from the game of these two teams, they played quite evenly. Granada managed to create chances, but they could not convert them into goals and balance the score. Only 5 minutes remaining in the first half of normal time. There is still plenty of time for the hosts to balance the score first.

Granada's performance have been really terrible lately, I  literally thought they will end their losing streak by winning against Elche today. But, Elche surprisely won against them today. It was an interesting match. The early goals which Elche scored helped them in the game. I was also expecting the host to probably equalize the score in the second half, but Elche was lucky enough to defence the goal to the end of the match. And achieved 3 points.

Granada have won three of their last four head-to-head match against Elche and drawn one. So I thought we would see Granada win this match too. But Elche won the match 1-0. Elche played well, but Granada's performance was good enough. I was happy if the two teams shared the points.

Elche played very well I didn't expect them to win granada because granada has always won Elche previous match, but granada play better  maybe this time they were not lucky like before to win elche. The game was interesting the both team performed very well I was expecting a draw but granada didn't score any goal.

Everyone talks about how Barcelona got better after Xavi took over, but I feel like they just had a few good transfers and that's it. ATM did the same thing, they were bad and now they are doing better and nobody really cares about them. They didn't even had to fire their manager for it neither.

I believe that ATM could still do wonders if they keep this up, could even end up at second position by the looks of it, all depends on sevilla losing a few points and that is expected because they are going to play against each other as well which ATM may win.

Cadiz did their best against them to steal some points there but they failed in their goal I'm afraid. Atletico Madrid are still not very credible when it comes to their game plan though. But they are still succeeding in winning somehow. I believe this won't go on like this for a very long time. Barcelona seem like they can be much more consistent and end the season ahead of them.

Indeed Atlético has shown an increasing performance in the last few games, even Atletico can get 4 wins in a row in La Liga and that makes Atletico
now in 3rd position. Atletico also have a chance to move up to second place, because now the difference in points with Sevilla is only 4 points.
Moreover, Sevilla also played less consistently in the last few matches, often throwing points. Regarding Barcelona, ​​it all started with Xavi's good decision

They are indeed successfully get the three points, but cadiz steal the show!
I believe everyone would agree that cadiz deserve a draw at least in this match , they are just having a bad finishing touch , while atletico played it effectively, pretty much typical atletico madrid though.

In some early weeks of this season Valencia was good after once they declined now they are unpredictable even sometime worst in this league even they are in big fishes of La Liga but in last few years they are going down badly with no chance of having some good place in this season.

Now in today match they enter with two back to back wins, so we can expect something from them as Getafe is also trying to have something, but they are facing some problems against Valencia defence which is not good but doing some better today. Valencia need some better effort in second half for having all three points, but going with current strategy is also not bad at all because they are having some good chance for one point as well.

Why don't you say ATM won 4 latest matches and only defeated 1 time? The way you stated above wasn't like giving an appreciation for ATM performance lately. With many injured players, ATM has tried its best to keep good performance in every match. Luckily, the injured players gradually recovered and started to give their contribution. And those players who played regularly also showed good improvement lately. IMO, they deserve to have an appreciation.

Atletico are currently not exactly in the best phase of their club history. It's actually crazy, a few years ago they became champions of Spain and before that they were always extremely successful in the Champions League, reached the final and semi-final a few times. The players from that time were individually less than the players now, so it's weird why this team isn't performing well. Griezman and Suarez, almost everyone wants them for your team.

I was actually a bit surprised by Cadiz's game, I admit they played well tonight. But unfortunately, from so many shots that were directed at the opponent's goal, only 1 was able to score.

In current season they have no good success but still reaching out in knock out stage in Champions League and now at third spot in La Liga is impressive because they have some very tough competition against world's best clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona which is not easy for any club.

In last few seasons they were not good and with current situation most chances they need some more time for having some better quality and performance because here money is also matters for few things around the glob with some good investments happening which are working very good for many clubs, so they also need things like this for better results.
