Did anyone of you watch the Sevilla vs Girona match?
I think it's an interesting match even though both are mid-table sides this season. Sevilla, who are unbeaten in their last 5 matches, had to loss by Girona 0-1 in the first half, but Sevilla completely dominated this match.

Sevilla is hoping for a win to boost their confidence as La Liga is not the only competition they have played in so far. Keeping in good form is expected as Sevilla are still in the Europa League so I think they will have to find a way to break down the Girona defense during the second half.

The match is in its +73th minutes and Sevilla are down vs Girona by 2 goals to 0 in a home game. That's embarrassing, chances without luck to score.
Sevilla are 10 points away from relegation zone without any opportunity to pick an European competition spot after their defeat today in my opinion. There is nothing to expect from them apart from winning Europa League this season which isn't that obvious against teams like Juve, Leverkusen and Roma.

This Girona team is quite interesting when playing against the big teams as I still consider Sevilla a big one despite being not in the top form and in the places they usually are in La Liga.Girona is winning comfortably against Sevilla at Sevilla home and they have done beautiful games against Barcelona and Real Madrid,I am thinking that if they played like this since the start of the season they would deserve a place in the Europa Conference league qualification stage more than any other team as they are playing really nice football lately.

Girona is play confidently in the match passing to the right player at the right moment. It is a pity that Sevilla is defeated at home by Girona,who is playing as if they are playing in their own home. Girona has a great defend and they are not making it easy for Sevilla to pass through.

It is a bad night for Sevilla, especially in the second half, where they have so many opportunities of scoring but they couldn't convert any of these chances to a goal. Rodrigo Riquelme is the man of the match, this victory has taken Girona to 44 points. This is an excellent result for the away side and they are very happy for their personality and victory.

According to the stats, Sevilla has tried to do their best but Girona was really good in defense and they perfectly use counter-attack strategy. It simply showed us that the red card destroyed the strength of Real Betis defense and the whole players' mentality. I think Barcelona may not score 4 goals if there was no red card. Sure, Barcelona really takes advantage when Real Betis lost 1 player, Barcelona can attack Real Betis easier because Real Betis players tend to stay in their area.

The match between Mallorca and Bilbao was certainly an interesting one. It did finish as a draw. But in the end, it was really very interesting. Actually thought that Mallorca was going to win the match. Even though I knew it was going to be hard for them to hold on to the one goal lead that they have.

After all, Bilbao had huge control over the possession of the ball. It was certainly a little too late from Bilbao to actually appear on the scoreboard. But it was good to see that they were able to get 1 point from this match.

Now my question is, is there a realistic chance for Bilbao to finish in the top six?

It was really interesting. I also did think Mallorca would try and hold on to their one goal till the end. But it seems the pressure and the constant attacks made them cave in. It was definitely going to be hard for them to hold on to their one goal lead as Bilbao was in total control of the game and dominated the stats. Having more of the ball, it is only normal they would create a good chance that would lead to a goal and that was what they did.

It was a really late goal for Bilbao that enabled them to have a draw. But a draw is always better than a loss as a late goal is better than no goal. They didn’t relent and it was not until the final moments of the game that they had gotten an equalizing goal.

Girona really deserved the victory they got from Sevilla home, because they were able to silent Sevilla players in the first half with 1-0 to alert those who predicted for the favour of Sevilla that they are stronger than Sevilla in this period. Many people predicted for the favour of Sevilla, because they are at home which will be very easy for them to use home advantage to play but Girona never allowed Sevilla to use such opportunity through out the match. I believe, Sevilla coach need to work on their strikers before their next match, because they had many opportunities to equalize the goal in the second half but they misused the opportunity.

Girona's performance surprised me a lot. They have performed well. And I would say that the excellent performance of the defenders helped the Girona team to win the last two matches. Both Madrid and Sevilla players played attacking in the entire match. They attacked a lot. Even then they were not able to break the defense of Girona. Sevilla had 64% of the ball in this match. Made a total of 23 shots. Even then they could not score a single goal. On the other hand, the Girona team had relatively few attacks, but each of their attacks was very sharp. The results achieved by Barcelona were very satisfying, it was not easy to beat Real Betis who were in the best condition but Barcelona were able to finish the match with a win. I had doubts that Barcelona could win after seeing the final result against Royo Vallecano, Xavi was well aware that his team was not in the best condition after getting two draws and one defeat before beating Real Betis with a promising score.
The win over Real Betis brought Barcelona even closer to the La Liga trophy, Barcelona only need a few more points to celebrate their success in La Liga this season.
