But last season also without Courtois, Real Madrid still managed to win the UCL and La Liga trophies with Lunin. So for now even though the situation will make him absent again for quite a long time, Lunin is ready to carry out the same great goalkeeper duties. What I am most worried about is not how long he will be out but will he come back after the injury? I mean Lunin is waiting for the position as the main goalkeeper, the opportunity always goes away and now Lunin is given another opportunity that will make him better. Courtois will have even less chance if he is injured for too long.

Thibaut Courtois out and Real Madrid have second choice that's enchanced with potential goal-keeping abilities. Andriy Lunin, he deliver Real Madrid last season in La Liga and also in the UEFA Champions League, he was rated low and underestimated because it was his first time been available to take up from where Courtois stopped, and he didn't relent, he accumulate sufficient accolades for himself and the beliefs and high trust on him, it means he's absolutely the main man to fit into the backup replacement of first choice. Carlo Ancelotti knows exactly what he's doing, why didn't he loaned Andriy Lunin this summer to any elite club? Because there were relevant offers coming for the Ukraine international, he managed to declined all of them and have Lunin sitting on the bench, not having regular playing time and this was major hurdle for the goal keeper.

Courtois got injury on abductor muscle of his left leg. That happened caused by he pulled a muscle when he jumped to catch a ball in the air. And it most likely he needs 2 weeks - 8 weeks to recover. I hope speedy recovery of him.

Available sources say that his injury is not so serious and he should return soon, but let's wait for some official statements, if his injury turns out to be more serious than initially expected, then we will find out about it soon. But its the early releasing have possibility with Thibaut Courtois will return back to training more early or have bad possibility absent more than two weeks later.
Actually Madrid have good back up goal keeper considering last season when Thibaut Courtois absent almost one season but Andriy Lunin can play well success bring Madrid to UEFA Champion League final.

I really feel sorry for what's happening to Thibaut Courtois this season seeing him facing another injury so early this season after returning from the previous one before the end of last season, I wish its not as bad as it seems and I wish him a speedy recovery as soon as possible and I hope that Lunin would be as good as he was last season to help the club on their bid to retain both the UEFA champions league and their Spanish la Liga title respectively. For Barcelona, it's really interesting to see how they are performing this season, the level of their mentality is quite stunning, because everybody would have expected them to be on low morale after that loss at Osasuna but they came back better and stronger trashing  young boys of Switzerland by a wooping 5 goals margin, this is exactly what has been missing in this Barcelona team for a long time and coach Hansi Flick has finally restored back that confidence in the squad.
