Of these, they conceded two goals the first from a penalty and the second from a free kick. I wouldn't call their win great because the goal difference should have been higher against a weaker team. In my opinion, Real Valladolid played well against Atletico Madrid and despite being at the bottom of the table their performance was positive. Atletico less the gap with Barca and Real with three points and are looking to make a great comeback. If they can play better Barcelona dominance this season could be reduced their fans are expecting a great comeback and the tournament will be more competitive.

With what Atletico played against Real Valladolid, I don't see them making any come back, because they are not as strong as when they were leading the league initially. Atletico has declined in form and they need to step up their game, so that If there is a chance for them, they can take advantage of it. However, it will be difficult for Atletico to take over the first position from Barcelona.

They didn't lose the league to either Barcelona or Madrid, they lost their position to the team they ought to have won but failed. The fact that they even scored two of their goals through penalty doesn't seem right to me and I wasn't impressed with that against a relegated team considering they even played at home. At times, we need to look beyond just the scoreline but the overall performance of the team. The three points is the most necessary thing but conceding two goals from a relegated team is a sign of defensive shortcomings for a team that has always been characterised by defending.

I wouldn?t call them toothless but Real Madrid don?t seem so dangerous anymore. Yeah, they?ve got the squad, they?ve got the pace and attacking capability but lately, teams have been able to subdue them in the worst way possible, getting the best of them to the point of being red carded from the game. This is so unlike the Ancelotti side that is know for destroying which ever team they are matched against. The Laliga as it is looks gone to them and all they?ve got for a fighting chance is Arsenal in the UCL and that is really slim!

It's not an argument or witchcraft but anyone can look at the league and see Barcelona as winner by now, I wish they don't but there is nothing anyone can do to not make them win this one. Real Madrid has tried, they should be struggling in the third place instead of Atletico but they were able to withstand the pressure and stay there, they could have stay at the first place too but also fumbled like the way Atletico did and now they are following Barcelona wish they don't win but it's not possible.

However, when a weak team manages to score 2 goals against you after trying to score 3 times, it is definitely not good news for a strong defensive team. I think Simeone will not be very happy with such a victory.
