I don't completely deny your assumption about the Club World Cup, but it is actually a very different competitive game than the pre-season games. The Club World Cup is an elite competition where each team will get money for each round played, if they win the title the total amount that can be won could be more than $100 million. It may not have the same total money of wins as the domestic league or the Champions League, but it is one of the elite competitions among qualified clubs.

It is true that the big European teams seem less serious, but in fact they are serious and do not take things lightly. Playing these three big stars together meant breaking the opponent's defense with the best strike position in the world, but in reality, PSG's dream did not come true. could say that, except for PSG, this club is really amazing, very active and their spirit of victory is still very much felt after their victory in UCL and also they won the quadrable title last season.

While for some other top European clubs, precisely, it seems a little ........ maybe they underestimate their opponents? As experienced by Real Madrid (draw), Inter Milan (draw), Porto (lose). However, it depends on each club and also the individual players, the proof is, Bayern Munich actually slaughtered their opponents 10 - 0. While from the La Liga club it was quite embarrassing.

The Club World Cup can at least be a platform to accelerate the adaptation process for teams like Real Madrid, which are undergoing managerial transitions and squad overhauls. I agree that the Club World Cup isn't very competitive, and many unexpected upsets occur. European teams might not consider the competition important enough to win. However, as the competition progresses, we might see some interesting matches. Overall, I predict European teams will dominate the competition moving forward, and it's not out of the question that the final will feature two European teams. It takes a lot of consideration to bet on the competition.

I don't think Xabi will feel pressured to be the coach who delivers the best results for Madrid. Because I'm sure he knows what he has to do and the result of yesterday's match makes me think Xabi started using a defensive strategy rather than losing and this strategy was always used by Xabi when he was a coach at Leverkusen.

The appearance of Mbappe in Real Madrid starts their squad imbalance between attack and defense that is not good for any team that want to compete and win big titles against many strong competitors. Moreover, Mbappe triggered internal conflict of interest with Vinicius and Rodryo and his appearances in Bernabeu did not make Real Madrid stronger but weaker in both attacks and defense.

Real Madrid still actually need to improve their defense system and they need to have two or three new defensive players in this summer. I don’t usually bet on the Club World Cup because I know most clubs won’t put in the energy needed on the pitch. They often treat it like a preseason tournament. Just take a look at how Real Madrid played yesterday. Even worse is Porto. I don’t know what happened in the second half because it was just like a completely different game for them.

All I can say is that most European teams don’t seem to take the Club World Cup seriously. That’s why we see such performances on the pitch. Regardless of the outcome, they would never carry that kind of performance into any of the UEFA competitions.

It is a fact that cannot be avoided even if you see this event in the name of the club world cup but still this is just a pre-season interlude that will be used as a trial material for the preparation of the new season for several big clubs in Europe.

So by seeing this I think we realize that even though they are serious but in terms of the final result they will still be 50/50 because this is still a trial to see how far they are ready in terms of attack schemes and player adaptation.
For Madrid, it is the same, they will still be serious in the match but the final result may not be a benchmark even though they want the best condition but I think Xabi will not force the players to do anything to win because this match is still something that is seen as normal as a trial for them.

I know CWC is not that crowded like other competitions, but it still being considered as a major trophy issued by FIFA. It's also remain as a top competition with all of clubs in the world participated in it. Team's participation in the CWC is also the way how they're also testing their new squad to know, which loopholes need to fix.
