You are right that many big teams start the tournament with defeats but later on they get stronger. I watched the match between Atlético Madrid and Espanyol. I think the luck of the match was not in Atlético's favour. They played well in the match and deserved to win. But I will bet on them in the next matches because they will do better. Exactly, Athletico Madrid are still the same as last season and if they didn't improve, they will end up not performing in the league competition. Exactly, it was obvious the tempo went down after the second red card for Mallorca, if not there should be nothing less than 6 goals in that game but whats the point anyway.. Even with that, they still dominated the game with a good margin which looks enough that having a lot of goals for the particular game.

Yes Atletico Madrid does not have same drive they used to. Scoring goal early and then not able to score again shows there is problem. Opposing team Espanyol started out slow but became much more aggressive as game after which proves Atletico defense and midfield were struggling.

I also don't understand what Simeone did in this match, substituting several players who should have been kept on the pitch. If he wanted to give others a chance, Atletico Madrid would have to lead by at least two goals or more. And I'm not sure if he was experimenting or what. But I also understand that the players he brought on were actually equally good. It's just that the chemistry would have been better if there hadn't been such a need for such quick substitutions. Hopefully, this defeat serves as a valuable lesson for Atletico Madrid that opponents can quickly turn things around if they're even slightly careless. The first half was already a good match. It's so frustrating being the best on the pitch but end up losing, I think it was poor defence that exposed them to Espanyol and another thing was that they weren't lucky with goals, what they needed was another goal after that free kick goal to seal the victory but it seem Espanyol read their game  very well in the 2nd half and noticed that their defence was the weakest spot.

I agree with you. Atletico madrid's performance was  not decent, that's why they lost. I would not say that the team was unlucky. Atletico Madrid players had 61 % ball possession. Atletico Madrid players had a total of 15 shots. Even so, the team was able to make only 4 on target shots. On the other hand , espanyol players made only 9 shots, but 5 of which were on target. Atletico Madrid's attacking players' performance was not as good as expected. That's why they lost. Maybe Atletico Madrid's performance will be stronger in the future. but  this team will not be able to compete for the title.

Yamal is the best player in Barcelona and without him Barcelona will be nothing. It was a wonderful display for Yamal as he scored the opening and closing goal for Barcelona. He deserves more because more responsibilities are on his shoulder. I hope that he can play throughout the season without any injury.

Atletico Madrid have given a chance to several new players in the starting XI. Almada, Baena, Johnny, Ruggeri and Hancko are new to Atletico Madrid. It is true that the players have not yet formed a strong bond. However, Espanyol was not a strong opponent. Espanyol's attack was also quite weak. And this team managed to score 2 goals against Atletico Madrid. If Atletico Madrid had lost to a renowned team, I probably would not have underestimated the team. Yamal is a very good player and he has huge potentiality to grow up more but now he has yet reached to GOAT level like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He still does not reach to levels of Neymar and Bale when those players at highest points in their career years ago.

Yamal is very important with Barcelona but it's wrong to say without him, Barcelona is nothing. Yamal is not able to score goals or make assists in all matches he plays and this is evidence to counter your saying. I believe that Yamal can perform better than two latest seasons but his career will last long at highest level or not, I don't know and feel very unsure about that. His living style is not good for his career in long term and next two to three seasons will be important for him. As a teenager player, he can have bad professionalism but next two to three seasons, he must mature more and control his actitivities and living style better than now.
