Real Madrid is already have injuries currently with 5 of their players still injured and funny enough they are all defenders.

Barcelona had a defensive problem last season, but I believe they are exposed this season. They conceded many goals last season because of to their poor defense, otherwise, they wouldn't have been conceding goals when they were leading by two or one goal. Their last game against Sevilla showed how weak their defence is, and Hansi Flick methods did not work for them. If I'm not mistaken, they only signed one or two players during the summer window and overlooks their poor defense.

This is definitely an opportunity to put Mpabbe at the heart of the team. He's a guy who knows how to handle his responsibilities and I think he'll do it really well. This is the moment he needs to be called upon. He needs to try to give his all for the team and the manager needs to trust him. It's an excellent moment for him and he needs to make the most of it.

I think that clearing out Mbappe is the most useful thing to do, right now, a player like that should be rewarded and included in the starting lineup, he is a goal machine and is scoring a lot of them, I understand that these players are always looking for motivation and it is the coach's job to give it to them now

Barcelona always have problems with defense and they usually rely on their attacking power and attacking system for covering their defensive weakness. It can work in some matches, can bring titles for them only if their attacking players perform very outstandingly. Otherwise, they can win matches but fail in a league battle and finish without titles.

Their last season in Champions League is an example on danger and effect of bad defense as no matter how strong impression they made, they failed under Inter Milan in a painful way and did not join Champions League final match last season.

Athletic Bilbao are a big mess so far. They lost points for many weeks in a row and finally managed to get a win the last time. Nico Williams' absence was also a factor in that to me. He just recovered from his injury.

However I don't see it as the main reason of course. Ernesto Valverde had better figure a way out to improve at least one side first. Not only defense but also offense is in a bad shape...

You are not wrong if you say that it's only Real madrid and Barcelona that you considered to be the laliga title contenders ATM has lack behind and i see that they have started getting back to form from there previous performance i will consider ATM to also be a title competitor they also have an experience coach that can make things happen and the season is just about 2 months old which means there are still more matches to be played so we should not minus Atletico Madrid from the Laliga title competitor what they did to Real madrid was a surprise to me they could give more surprises.

During his 14-year managerial career, Atletico Madrid has led them to numerous championships. Real Madrid doesn't look weak but it doesn't make them better than Barcelona But Barcelona is missing some champs that are not going to be available in the El clasico, they are not going to have them for sure even if they come back. I'm doubting if the rest of the teams are  going to can handle the game like the way it's.

The El clasico is going to help the both teams in a way that If Real Madrid comes as winners, they will give Barcelona another gap but if Barcelona are able to win the El clasico then rest assure they are going to climb back to the top of the table. If they are able to win more games probably by the time the team is stable, then it's going to be unstoppable for Barcelona, Real Madrid are not going to come back to that top of the table anytime soon.
