Last season was so rough and bad for Real Madrid and they could not win anything but this season I think they are somehow better than last season but it is still not enough to win anything this season. What they played against Alaves was not encouraging in the sense that they played Alaves as if they are mate even when they are by far and more better than Alaves. It is obvious they had injury players but that is not enough reason to be under performing because if they continue this way it will be very difficult for them to win a major trophy this season.

This season Madrid clearly has it to win a trophy but their performance so far has been unstable, one that is not giving off the confidence of believing enough in their abilities to be able  to eventually win a title by the end of this season. But they have slightly some time on their side and if they utilise it well they could possibly turn the dynamics of their performance.

This is another game that I was actually thinking that Real Madrid will drop more points immediately I was the Alaves equalizer but yet again this was another brilliant performance most importantly by Rodrigo in this match. He had failed to score this season in entirety until last week where he scored and then added one again this week to crown it the winner. Aside the three points I think Real Madrid fans need to be in celebration due to the fact that game by game Rodrigo is getting back to form. For me I think if he actually continues on this form it will seriously help the team out. Currently the team is heavily dependent on goals from Mbappe with him scoring nearly or over half of their goals this season, I think having Rodrigo back in this form gives them extra or enough firing power again.

btw Alaves' goal I think is very good with a long pass which is not really expected because Madrid tried to do an offside trap but ended up failing only in this match even though Alaves played well but Madrid's defense including Valdepenas' debutant performance is quite worthy of appreciation.

Now I think Xabi needs to consider further Rodrygo who really needs to be given more opportunities in an ideal position because previously he was placed in many positions that were not ideal positions for Rodrygo which made the situation a little more complicated but with a debut goal this season even though it was a little late it should be able to increase his confidence.
Vini actually didn't do too well in this match and to be honest I'm still more impressed with Jude's performance than Vini's but that 1 assist was enough to make his name a little bit raised because in the beginning he played too much of the ball but it didn't have a big impact on the club's game.

For me personally, both teams might just play a draw so there is potential bet on both teams to score and the bookies also seem to agree as they offer low odds @1.72  what do you guys think, will there be any surprises?

I see this match as a good chance for Betis to prove their current level. Xabi Alonso needs more time to put this Real Madrid team together, the quality is there, the players are there already and is just left for Madrid to give the coach a chance to instill his idea to the team and from there the team can carry on and blend with it. He’s a proven coach who have done it in his first ever season in Germany, now he’s in his first season at Real Madrid, I know the standards are high in Madrid, the coach is already aware of that as he was a former player for the club. I have no doubt that Xabi Alonso will deliver if not this season, next season.

I'm not surprised at Rodrygo's performance I'm that match. Other times, he's been used in a position that didn't suit him, cause of a difference tactics being used by the coach but the coach used a formation (4-3-3) that Rodrygo is used to, during the time of Ancelotti and even So if am not mistaken, maybe if the coach use this formation often it could help more players that are used to it in the team adapt fast. Real Madrid really needed this win, it would not only boost Rodrygo's confidence but the entire team. I'm glad that Xabi is finally giving Rodrygo a chance to prove himself and he did.

I think it's very natural and normal for Real Madrid to want to start attacks through Arda Güler because the player's style is very good at passing. Xabi is a coach who can identify the player who can best build the game because he has a lot of experience like this in the past. I'm sure Arda Güler will attract more attention in this regard. Few fans right? It's  normal everyone can feel the same way and we will always have fans who will come in support  of the coach no matter what happen. I'm  not saying Xabi is the problem though , but if he doesn’t  deliver what the management  and majority of the fans wants with whatever resources  he has, they just won't buy any of his claims and then you would see the voice of the majority of the fans going against him.
Xavi almost went through same at Barcelona but he left voluntarily with some conditions.

I'm not sure if Alaves played really well in this match or if it's Madrid's fault that they can't seem to establish a good dominance so far.

At least 3 points they managed to score in this match where 2 goals and 1 goal disallowed because Jude was considered handball made them secure points and still keep their distance from Barcelona.
A little regrettable some opportunities especially when Jude actually had 2 good chances to score which 1 was disallowed and 1 more had to fail because it was a little mistake but whatever it was Madrid again made their momentum and still remained in the gap 4 points which is still quite large but this can still be used as a competition.

Xabi Alonso have seen that Rodrigo is a key player and he will be hard to be batching him in matches now because if not because of Rodrigo I think xabi Alonso should have been sack already but Rodrigo safe him and he will improve better, Rodrigo can be is first eleven for now since he as see the performance of the player and I don't think he will like to leave madrid so soon. I think Xabi is a smart guy. He's the best person to understand what the recent poor results mean to him. I like Xabi, he's a really good manager, but even he can't explain Real Madrid's current situation. We're watching a Real Madrid team that's struggling to create chances. We're not used to this; we're a generation that grew up thinking it was impossible to win against Real Madrid.
