The point gap is not that big but if Barcelona are able to maintain consistency in their games, they Real Madrid will find it hard to overtake them on the table and will have to face some serious and tough times in their remaining matches in the league. Real Madrid have the best of players and no matter how productive those players can be, if Barcelona?s performance cannot succumb to their own high quality performance, there is no way they can have an edge over them in the league. Xabi Alonso is being criticized much now but I think he can still improve with time based on how he has been managing the team so far. Things could change for him for the better.

The points gap is perhaps the only non-worrying issue, instead there is a gap in performances, plays and clashes with other teams, that could really affect Real Madrid's hypothetical first-place finish.
Xabi Alonso has been criticized for too long now, has he managed to lead the team to second place so far? Why be so hard on him.

I'm not sure Xabi will let him go easily. Xabi still needs him; he has been performing very well. But there is still no news regarding a new contract extension deal. However, Xabi should try to persuade Vinicius to stay with Madrid. Even the media are making the most of this rumor. There are reports that Al Ittihad is ready to bring him to the Saudi Pro League. But at his current age, I think going to Arabia would reduce the competition. If Vinicius leaves, he should still continue his career in Europe; going to Arabia should be the last option.
Real Madrid still needs Vinicius, and letting him go would be problematic, even if they could find a replacement. Playing in the Saudi Arabian League wouldn't be a wise decision, as he's still at his ideal age, so Vinicius should play or continue his career in Europe. A contract extension may be a long way off at the moment due to several factors, most notably the salary which hasn't been agreed upon between the player and the club. But I'm confident that Vinicius will ultimately stay at Real Madrid, as it's a good place for him to continue his career.

However, in my opinion, Barcelona is a difficult team to beat, so I believe it won't be easy for Real Madrid to overtake Barcelona. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Nevertheless, with the current 4-point gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona, this is certainly more intriguing than if there were a larger point difference between the two teams.

I've been giving Real Madrid a negative outlook for three weeks now, and i wasn't wrong.
The decline continues and i don't think it can have a comeback to get closer to and overtake Barcelona.
The path this season is marked, if we want to say.
It will be interesting to try to figure out who the third wheel will be.

In the upcoming match, Real Madrid will face Betis. I think this match will be very difficult for Real Madrid. Even though Betis is not currently in the top 4 in La Liga, I think their performance should not be underestimated. Even Barcelona had a difficult time when they faced Betis. So, especially against Real Madrid, whose current form is not good, Real Madrid will certainly find it a bit difficult to win. However, Real Madrid must win this match if they want to continue competing effectively with Barcelona. Because if Real Madrid were to lose or draw in this match, the points gap between them and Barcelona would widen significantly. That is why Real Madrid will undoubtedly give their all, even though this match is likely to be extremely difficult for them to win.

The strength shown by Barcelona this season is quite extraordinary so it's natural for them to currently top the standings. However this time they will visit Espanyol's headquarters. Barcelona certainly needs to be a little wary because they are also one of the strongest teams currently in La Liga with five consecutive wins which will certainly give them capital to face a Barcelona team that has also achieved the same results with consecutive wins.

Match This time it will be quite a fierce tension because both teams have achieved quite maximum results in the previous few so that this match is an event for both teams who have not received defeat in the previous five matches so that this time we are more confident that the result will be a draw because the home team will maximize their home game with the aim of wanting to get full points at home, but for Barcelona this fierce event is a common thing considering that previously they also managed to win the match when visiting Villareal's headquarters so what happened this week was the second time they visited the team that dominated the top of the La Liga competition

let's say he didn't start very well but he's recovered greatly, he's really able to play well.
I think it will be a really interesting challenge for the other teams if they even manage to draw.
How many years has Hansi Flick been coaching? Two years? He's done a great job.

This season, this has been the major problem of Real Madrid, it's always the defenders problem. If you have a problem that you are dealing with for 2 seasons and you can't comprehend a proper solution to make it easy for you and your team to win leagues, it will take years and years for the club to bag one good trophy. It will be a shame if they lose this season if they are not even losing if already.

Xabi has received a lot of criticism but despite injuries, unsuitable medical staff and everything that slowed Real Madrid's run, but i really don't think they're losing him now.
They have every chance of achieving it and they didn't play that badly, it's okay to be critical but to be constructive and not pessimistic.

Barcelona performance improve and they became more consistent and efficient because they improved. Their condition this season does look very different and quite severe because they really can't make some breakthroughs like they always did in previous seasons.

17 matches they only managed to get 4 wins which looks a lot of worry even in the last 4 weeks they were only able to win 1 point.
Facing Atletico actually this could be a disaster for them but on the one hand I hope they can give their best performance because after all they have a squad that is actually quite good just how they grow mentality and make their performance the same as before which always troubles some big clubs and subscription champions.
This is indeed quite difficult for Sociedad but they inevitably have to do this if they want good conditions at the end of the season, if they lose again to Atletico then their position in the main competition could be threatened and move to Segunda.

True this season they have achieved more disappointment than victories, this crisis seems not to want to pass, personally i see their commitment but apparently it is not just commitment that is enough.
Facing Atletico couldn't be a disaster, in my opinion it's a disaster but are there alternatives in this regard?
They now have to face all the challenges that arise head on.

I can't deny that nothing is impossible as long as the game of football is concern, but Barcelona needs to drop points before real madrid can over take them, and for that to happen, real madrid needs to go on a winning streak of like fifteen games or more, and be hoping that Barcelona didn't go in such a winning run as well because right now, the biggest problem of real madrid is consistency, so if they can be consistent enough by going on a winning run of like ten games in a row, they stands a chance to go above Barcelona if Barcelona drops some points during that  period.

Additional, xabi Alonso may try to focus only on his job, but that wouldn't be possible due to the huge pressure he is currently facing, or can you decide to go to bed and sleep when your rooftop is leaking or is on fire? No, that is not possible.
He just needs to get used to working under pressure, then he will be fine.

It's just that we all know the ability of clubs from the Saudi Pro League in player transfer negotiations. They have enough money to buy players who are not getting the salary offers they want from their clubs.
Vini surely has the desire to remain at a European club where the competition makes him more competitive. If Madrid agrees to the contract extension request with the desired salary, Madrid should be the best place for his career.
It would be a surprise if Vinicius went to a Saudi Arabian club, despite the rumors that always link him with big offers but still, it's not the time to leave. He's young, talented and a bit of an ego, which is fine because that's how footballers are. There is no compelling reason for Vinicius to be pressured into going to Saudi League, Madrid realized early on that the media would continue to deliberately cook up news for Vinicius.

If Vinicius really wants to leave Madrid, it will be the biggest mistake for him and maybe his career will be ruined. Madrid can replace Vinicius with another player, maybe for a few days Madrid's performance will be a little bad, but gradually Madrid will fix everything. But if Vinicius leaves Madrid now and joins the Saudi Arabian League, maybe Vinicius will be the best player in that team, but maybe he will never win a trophy and he may not be able to advance like a player in Europe. If we compare Vinicius with Neymar, Messi or Ronaldo, it will never be the right decision for us.

Real Madrid current team situation means they will not over take Barcelona. They need to improve and Xabi Alonso needs to inspire the all players. Vinicius scored a number of goals at the start of the season but has been on a long break from scoring recently. His poor form is having a negative impact on Real Madrid. Xabi is trying to keep his composure, but taking charge of a big club like Real Madrid comes with a lot of responsibility. Barcelona's consistent performances mean Real Madrid chances are increasingly limited. There are still many matches left and Real Madrid need to improve their performance. If they don't improve their team performance significantly their chances of winning the trophy will continue to diminish.

Moving to the Saudi Arabian League would be a setback for Vinicius' career, as the league isn't as competitive as European clubs. Vinicius is still young, and if he stays at Real Madrid, he has a great chance of winning the Ballon d'Or and playing for the Brazilian national team. Real Madrid will work hard to keep Vinicius, as he is a valuable asset to the club. One way to keep him is by negotiating a salary increase to extend his contract.

He's still only 25, so it's too early for him to move to Saudi Arabia. Perhaps over 30 would be the right time to go there to enjoy a higher salary. He'd be better off staying in Europe.
Like it or not, moving to Saudi Arabia would be seen as a career downturn, given that Europe is by far the most competitive league. Unless he chooses money over career, it would be a shame if he prioritized money over career, because a good career in Europe would also increase his value in the future.

I think that in this case everything depends on Vinícius. If he agrees to Real Madrid’s terms, he will be able to stay with the team, but if he insists on his own position, he may leave for another club. However, the further development of his career in Saudi Arabia could be questionable, it seems to me that for such a young player it would be too early. Perhaps one of the European giants could be interested in him, but so far I don’t see anyone really discussing it.

You know Madrid has tried to keep him, they've offered Vini a raise, but it's still below Mbappé, which is the main problem, Vini wants to be on par, Madrid isn't incapable but they're also considering quality. In this case, I don't think it's a problem if Vini is sold if the deal doesn't work out. After all Madrid is a big club and can find a replacement on par with Vini. Hopefully there a better solution.

I'm sure Vinicius won't go to the Saudi Arabian team, he's still very young and many top European teams are willing to pay a lot for Vinicius and I don't really believe the rumors about this, Vinicius is Real Madrid's mainstay player so of course the team management will keep him and Vinicius is also aware of his capacity so he won't act as he pleases especially since Real Madrid's management is experienced enough to handle top players.

We are right to criticize Xabi alonso. He has not yet been able to bring stability to Madrid's performance. But is Madrid playing badly with Alonso's help? I don't think so.

After Alonso became manager, madrid has played 31 matches, out of which Madrid has won 22 and lost 5. The winning percentage is  70.97%. I wouldn't call it bad. Anyway, if Alonso can not bring stability to Madrid's performance after a long time, then it is a big problem. If madrid cannot play consistently well, it will not be possible to win the title. The competition has become  more difficult in both la liga and the champions league. If Madrid performs irregularly, they will be far from the title. If this  happens, the madrid management will probably look for a new  coach.

This is what happens when you have a league run by morons. The clubs in the league can't get good players, and they cannot even afford to keep or pay the good players they have. Good players earn more, and the restrictions in La Liga make it very difficult for these clubs to pay their players. And it seems that the clubs in the league are filled with clowns, too, because these are decisions they should be fighting against; instead, they're focused on Barcelona and making petitions that they should not register certain players.

Look at clubs like Valencia, Sevilla, Sociedad and Bilbao that used to be household names are all struggling. They can't afford good players. Sevilla has been forced to sell all their players to smaller teams. Sociedad have been forced to sell players like Isak, Le Normand, Merino, and, most recently, Zubimendi, despite how they tried to keep him. This is the same for all the clubs in the league. The big players need to leave so that the club can balance the books.

If they don't find a way to stop these restrictions, the league will become even worse than it already is. By the time teams like Valencia and Sociedad start getting relegated, they will understand. This La Liga administration is actually killing the league. La Masia is the reason Barcelona are still able to compete despite all these restrictions. When you look at the books, Barcelona is among the top three clubs with the biggest revenue, but they always struggle to buy or register players. People who don't understand think it's because they're broke, but they're not. They're actually richer than most European big teams. They are just restricted from spending. The same can be said about every other team in the league.

I think it's a problem with the management of the clubs, as they always think about making money and bringing it to the club, but when you win everything is fine, but then when you give away strong players to get cheap ones, then everything changes and the problems begin.

I agree that this particular stat is superb and excellent for any other teams but Xabi will continue to receive criticism until he tops Barcelona, that's the perks of being a manager for a very big club and a club that strives for perfection. Please remember that even with about 60% in win ratio across all competitions last season and 15 trophies for Real Madrid, Carlos Ancelotti a club legend was still replaced, so Xabi doesn't have any right to ask for leniency.
