As always, Barcelona showed a great performance in today's match, they scored the first goal in the very early stages of the game, just 9 minutes after the start, then the second goal in the 25th minute, and the first half ended with them 2-0. In the second half, Espanyol scored a goal in the 56th minute and then in the very last stages, Barcelona scored two more goals, Yamal in the 87th minute and Rashford in the 89th minute. The game was very great, and another interesting thing is that there were a total of 9 yellow cards in this game, where Espanyol received a total of 6 cards, and Barcelona got 3.
Barcelona is now much ahead in the points table, now Barcelona has 79 points while Madrid has 70 points, now there is a gap of 9 points between them, this is a good gap.

Barcelona will next face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, where they lost the first leg to Atletico by 2-0, and it will be interesting to see if they can get revenge in the second leg, so this game is going to be very exciting.

Sometimes I wonder how people watch games. Few months back when Arda Guler started several games people complained about the constant playing time that he is too inexperienced to be at Real Madrid that he shouldn't be starting games and now that he is been left on the bench people are now complaining again LOL... I think when Real Madrid loses games the players shouldn't be blamed at all because we are all aware of Mbappe's ability and how he has helped the team severally this season and last season under Ancellotti and also Bellingham has been very good since he joined, but when players have a few bad games they are suddenly not fit to be in the team.
Coaches influence the performance of a team so when certain players are not doing as expected them the coach should be questioned especially when the players in question are good talented players.

To be fair, Mbappe was the least guilty one on this, he can't just score five goals a game every game for them, he may miss some shots, is there absolutely nobody else that will make them score or win when Mbappe is not scoring?

Why is there this huge need that they would win if Mbappe scores and they would not win if he doesn't score. There are no other teams in the world that only wins when a player scores and if that player doesn't score they lose. This is why Mbappe is not the one to blame on this situation.

I would say La Liga is basically over at this point, not like it was still going on last week when they lost to Mallorca, it was already looking pretty much finished up, but people were waiting to see if Barcelona would lose points too, instead Real Madrid keeps losing points and that should be good enough proof that Real can't take advantage of this situation.

In fact, I am fairly certain that Real may not end up getting enough points even if Barcelona loses points along the way, the gap is just way too big to cover after this. Barcelona’s victory is a flawless one and we have all seen how good they play and how not easy one can take away the title from them this season. Real Madrid keep making us lose hope in them that they can do anything tangible to overcome Barcelona for the trophy, but it’s just disheartening to see them not playing optimally even when they know every point lost now will only make them not get closer to the title and their chances of making it to win the trophy reduces. Barcelona looks unstoppable now because they only team that can make them feel the challenge are the ones not playing encouraging football now. Real Madrid can continue fighting till the end, but I doubt they can win the title anymore again.

Real Madrid has quite a few chances of taking over the first position from Barcelona but they failed and now, there's nothing they can do because we have games left. Real Madrid performance isn't looking great this season and that's why you see that they're ending the season trophyless because I don't believe that they can win Bayern in the second leg of the quarter finals in UCL. Real Madrid should try harder next season. The arrival of Mbappe was suppose to give them an edge over other clubs but I'm not seeing tgat happening.

Only Mbappe can not see to the victory of Real Madrid over other clubs. It is a collective effort for all the team players to work towards achieving.

We can see that Real Madrid haven't found their pace since the arrival of Mbappe in the team in June 2024. Mbappe has seen to three different coaches in the team, but still none has yet to make Real Madrid take over the LaLiga trophy from Barcelona.

This season will not mark the two seasons Real Madrid has missed the Champions League and LaLiga trophies since Mbappe came to Real Madrid. I just hope it won't be so by next season, for Real Madrid to go trophyless in the league trophy they are known for lifting

This particular win will be a motivation for the big ahead in the champions league because for now that's probably their main priority since Real Madrid have already drifted out of the competition as they continue dropping points over and over. As per the number of yellow cards in the game I believe it's because this game is a derby match and it's always physical as Espanol themselves are not an easy side to play with.

Barcelona really plays a very beautiful game; they have many strikers who score goals all the time. While at Real Madrid, although they have many strikers, most of them are useless. Apart from Mbappé and Vinicius, the others aren't useful; they can't score consistently, they don't make the team have a very strong attack, and the coach is very limited. Barcelona deserve the win today because their performance was top notch, they played the game with almost all their best players despite their big upcoming game in the champions League and the goals came in as a result of their hard work. Yamal was all of the place today he delivered good goals and assists to enable his team to win comfortably and extend their gap over Real Madrid to 9 points.
There was too much rough play in the game the referee issued the cards to calm the players but they were lucky that nobody was given a red card.

It is already obvious that Real Madrid will not be able to have any trophy this season, because their performance is still not stable since the beginning of the season. Now that Barcelona are 9 points ahead of them, I don’t think they will be able to stop them any time soon, which means Barcelona will still get the trophy. Yeah for me I think it's safe to say so because looking at the current Real Madrid squad they are absolutely dreadful in their performance and with all the points that they have dropped I don't think they will be able to catch you with Barcelona pace and their season is looking more likely to end without any trophy again because even the champions league they will be eliminated by Bayern Munich and that's for certain.
