You would do better with a better domain name on a good .com extension. Always consider what resonates with the users, not just what you think is good. nGTLDs such as .io doesn't resonate with users.

Yes it pops up asking you to create a username but you don't need to provide any personal details, username can be random. It is recommended to at least set a password if you plan on depositing but you also don't need to do that.

The pop-up is a bit annoying, because it's something you instinctively try to close, and there's even no button to close it. Perhaps it would be better if a person saw this window about registration only after trying to bet, not at once. Tried this site yesterday with some free bits given from the admin/mod on the chat. There is indeed no faucet to test the game but if someone want to try it then I suggest them to be so kind on the chat, at least say hello there then I believe the admin will give some free bits for testing purpose. I like the clean design as well as the fast betting speed although I played with small bet amounts which is a plus point here. I would suggest them to create something like launching promotion to players because at the moment there is only good feature for investors only. thus an average gambler will be cautious to just deposit some amount of coins to test it , besides they usually have minimal withdrawal limit
so this forces you to deposit at least 10$ ( usually more ) if you are planning to withdraw later
it is up to admin to decide if the faucet is a must or not , if they can provide proper security and detect abusers and bots then why not?

What's the minimum amount of investment and how does it work?

I'm not sure why you need verification code by email once you are going to enable 2FA, afaik you do need the code from google authenticator only once you want to activate 2fa on any sites. About the investment, I think the minimum investment is 1000bits = 0.001btc. You can try to put any amount to try on the investment page although you do not have any balance and you'll get notification message if the amount you try to enter is enough or below the minimum.

if the site is denominating everything in bits , it is obvious that 0.01 is in bits as well
hence the minimal withdrawal is 1 satoshi now , probably for the time being so people can withdraw and see that the site is paying
I busted my autobet after reaching around 250 bits ( 25k satoshi) , funnily enough I wanted to try and withdraw as soon as I reach 300 bits

Domain names should not be a reason for them to not adding other games except dice. You have mentioned bitdice, but they are providing more than just a dice game. Other case is windice, they also uses "dice" on the domain but they add crash game. it means that your investment is effectively multiplied by the leverage figure

if you invest 1 bitcoin , with the 25x , you will get 25 btc total which will be 98% of the total bankroll at the moment

but if the site hits an unlucky streak and loses , your investment could get burned fast

I agree on this, it should have staff that always active on the chatbox and that very approachable one. Maybe you can hire 2 or 3 people that could have shifting duties and split the 24 hours for them(Hmm, anyway, you can approach me in that way if you want active moderator). As I had noticed that a busy chatbox will also use gamblers to hang out for a while when they are get bored in rolling dice.

How much is your betting speed? Probably it is now fast because there is no much activity on your site, how if there are hundred players betting at the same time, will the speed remains the same?
Regarding the low withdrawal limits, it is stated that the minimum withdrawal is 0.01 and I assume it is 0.01bits (1 satoshi) as you use bits instead of normal bitcoin denomination. Yeah it must be the lowest minimum withdrawal that offered by a gambling site but I doubt anyone will withdraw such low amount lol.

Go back to the first page please, they have said that they will consider to have signature campaign although I doubt that it will be an effective way to advertise the site because the competition for dice site only is just too tight. On other site, btcdice.io has no attractive offers for players till today so advertisement wont give them significant effect because most dice players will prefer to stay on the site where they used to play as most other sites offers more attractive for players. I do not think that it is a must to spend this 0.15-0.25 btc for just signature campaign, depends on their marketing budget as well. If they can do it then it is pretty competitive payout. Any budget will do actually but it does not have to be higher to make the good progress. With small payout it will still do since there are so many "unemployee people" out there that willing to help. Signature campaign is always the best options to choose to boost the market

I hadn't heard anything about banning of an account because someone only claim faucet and never deposit. I don't think you are right.  Most of the websites give free satoshis when you have signed up recently and some of them give you free satoshis only when your balance is zero. Also, withdrawing your balance requires a minimum amount and fee which make you ineligible for withdrawing your balance if you don't gamble. Even if some one only use faucets, the greed will cause them to finally deposit some amounts of coins. So, these people will be never banned.
I think faucet abuser is a person who creates several accounts.

I do not see any signs that there will be promotion in the near future. The competition among dice sites is just too tight nowadays, so it is not surprising at all if most new sites looks like a dead site because the lack of promotion and marketing strategies. The owner should realize the situation and should act to deal with it, at least owners of new gambling sites should have an idea how to attract new players. Yes, I know that competition is tough with all the many dice sites out there. The point is with this current promo as it stands you could get $500 for depositing less than $0.01. So the competition between sites doesn't matter. its possible. there are many bots that are been used for competitions like this and they can fund all thier alt accounts ( they can be able to afford it because they are big people or whales )  some of thier accounts cant get the first prize but they can still get the consolation prize  which is still worth it at all and this isnt only for the purpose of the race but its for other benefits as well like for example to get vip status  . some sites offer vip status when your account has a reach a huge wagger .

My main idea is that once a user create multiple accounts the he/she can get the whole prizepool (not only for the 1st place). It will worth with this current situation as someone do not need to wager much to be on the leaderboard. No it wont, there will be always some people with huge balance who come in the last minute to overtake those who play every single hour during the day. Even if the owner does not want players snipping in the last minutes, what can they do about it? This kind of activity will always happen in any wagering contest.

You can compare with the one you are promoting through your signature. Which one has better traffic every single day? The site offers low house edge, but it cannot be compared to the old and trusted gambling sites.

It is not really "getting advertised" when you do a competition still you want people to know about it, it is more like creating an awareness and they are totally different things, they look like similar things but they are actually quite different. One is saying people "hey come check our website out we are good" and there is not wrong with that, that is advertising and everyone is doing it with their signature/twitter campaigns and topics and all that.

The other is "hey we are giving out extra money, you may even go +ev with this" and that is creating awareness for your competition and that is really something different. Quite similar things but the purpose is different, you are not promoting the website itself as a whole, you are not creating enough awareness for your competition among this community to participate. I have suggestion for the contest related to its timeframes because the ending time may not be ao friendly for some timezone. So I think you should change the timeframe as well, at least give opportunity to those who live in area where the last hours of the contest is during their sleeping time.

Unfortunately, in gambling and especially in crypto is very hard to standardise for the wagered amount to ensure whales don't always have the advantage simply by wagering more bets. Yeah, down for me as well. Running a casino is harder than what many people think, I have helped run a crypto casino before and I can tell you that its really not an easy task, it takes a lot to actually pull it off and not just money.

Of course, money is the most important task here, we hired developers and designers and basically spent 50k dollars even before the casino started, and since I live in a third world country that 50k dollars was a lot of money, by comparison a developers monthly salary was around 500 bucks.

After the website was done and we did closed beta with hundreds of people we knew online with fake money first than with real money we sent them to test, we saw that there was couple more bugs but nothing major so we fixed them up and decided to release. Then we did 10k worth of marketing both here and everywhere we could think of (the best return was freebitco.in), we didn't get that money back that quickly but we started to make a bit and we reinvested all of it to pay for the casino and for the marketing for a long time, hell we still spent money and were in negative for the first 2.5 months. After that we started to break even and then after a full year we were making a decent amount of profit.

Some legal stuff came up so we had to either spend millions of dollars to continue or close it, we had enough profits so we closed it. You have to really go into this thinking everything is super difficult and you would have to live and breathe your job for 5 months before you can even sleep properly.

I don't think it is about patience or impatience , the decision to stop the project if he saw no way forward was correct
the problem was in the incorrect approach to promoting the site
I really like redsun's post - it describes the way a dice startup should be managed
its not only initial expenses into marketing  , but also sleepless nights and a lot of work
first 3 months are almost 100% going to be negative , especially if you have a look at the casinos that are direct competitors
most of them are 3-4-5 years old and have their own audience , for a new site it is VERY difficult to take a share of the pie and they need to offer something special or/and run

What's the long-term ambition for BTCDice in the fact of such strong competition?

True, it has so low number of players because it has just came back few days back after several months of inactivity. There were some players when they had wagering contest but now there is no attractive things that makes potential players come or even makes their early players come back.
They said that they have some big plans for the next few months, but it seems that their plans will be depending on investors. I think that their plans wont be done if the site get low investors only.

There are still 5 player with a balance over $1 totaling $17, including you. Most of this is from players who didn't deposit.

So sad to hear it but if im an investor i would definitely do the same on pulling up my investment.Main reason? BTC is rising up
and selling it on the current price is the most sweet spot on making profits rather than parking it on a gambling site which
do have even or barely have users.

It would be hard since their investor pulled out their investments into this site but they are obliged or should find other ways on paying up those
pending withdrawals but well since they are closing their doors, there would be less chances on pulling out those funds.

pending withdrawals but well since they are closing their doors, there would be less chances on pulling out those funds.

Even so with them going out of business its not fair on those who are still waiting to receive their funds, but as far as investments go, though I'm not sure this was their intention, they're risky and this is the worst thing that can happen to any of your investments  - I say this from experience, its very painful but its the reality.

Either way, I do not see a scenario where the funds will be re-paid

This token will not have an ICO and will have no pre-mining.

Every time you make a bet you will mine some amount of tokens, from an Ethereum smart contract.
Each week the difficulty will increase.

Every 24 hours we will take a percentage of commission from the bankroll profit and distribute to token holders who stake their tokens.

Token holders will be able to use their tokens to claim bonuses, pay for fees, unlock special features and trade.

The site would use a percentage of it's profit each week to buy back tokens and burn them. All tokens used to pay fees and claim bonuses will also be burned.

I think these ideas could be a great way for players to get rewards for playing and also a way to slowly build up trust and a bankroll.

Sounds like a good idea: there are already some sites out there performing some of the features you described and having them implemented in smart contracts.
What you described is something still more extended as there is also buybacks, special features (lets see what are they about) , fee payments (what fees btw) and other nice things.
There are some more explanations needed for a prooer evaluation of this novelty but the first impression is rather positive.
